SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS-Chapter 656: God Slayer Relic!
After killing Kent, the demon emperor began chasing Kent. Grizzac’s lifeless body fell on hot desert sand.
Kent gripped the armrest of his golden throne tightly, his heart pounding as he soared across the endless desert.
The sands below rippled like waves beneath the blazing sun, but Kent’s eyes were locked on the shimmering beacon ahead — the Shrine of Eternal Sands. Its radiant glow bathed the desolate land, guiding him like a lighthouse in a storm.
Behind him, laughter echoed across the desert, sharp and grating like the screech of iron against stone.
"You little rat! You think that shrine can save you?" The Demon Emperor’s voice was venomous, each word laced with malice. His figure, cloaked in black mist, tore through the skies, his crimson eyes gleaming with twisted delight. "I am the Yama of this realm, the very shadow of death. You cannot escape me!"
Kent’s forehead filled with sweat as he channeled every drop of his mana into the throne’s core. The ancient artifact hummed in response, flickering with golden energy.
"Faster… just a little faster." Kent whispered under his breath, the shrine of eternal sands growing larger in his vision.
The throne jerked forward, light flaring beneath its gilded frame as it surged ahead. The sands blurred below him. But the laughter of demon emperor followed closely.
"Grizzac… I won’t let your sacrifice be in vain. The demon emperor will pay his life." Kent’s eyes darkened with determination, wiping away the lingering sting of tears.
Behind him, Demon Emperor’s laughter rose, unrelenting. "Run all you like, boy! I enjoy the chase. But know this—when I catch you, I’ll flay your soul before you even hit the ground!"
The golden lightening glow intensified indicating the shrine of eternal sands which is the sight of Kent now.
As the shrine’s radiant light neared, Kent exhaled in relief. He could already feel the divine energy cascading from its form — a sanctuary no demon could breach. Just a few more seconds.
"Almost there…" Kent muttered while gritting teeth in frustration.
But in that moment, the world twisted unnaturally. Black talismans, etched with forbidden symbols, burned the air ahead, forming a seal that tore through the desert like a storm.
In a flash, Demon Emperor materialized before Kent, blocking his path. His tall figure hovered before the golden throne, the talisman crumbling to ash at his feet.
"Did you really think it would be that easy?" Demon Emperor’s smile widened, baring razor-sharp fangs.
Kent cursed, pulling back on the throne’s controls. The throne jerked to a halt, kicking up golden sand.
"You should’ve kept flying," Demon Emperor growled.
"Abyssal Claw Strike. Torturing souls…"
Darkness gathered around the Demon Emperor’s palm, morphing into jagged talons that shot toward Kent. Kent raised his mace desperately.
"Godly intent!"
Golden light shimmered, blocking the claw’s descent, but the impact sent shockwaves through Kent’s body. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth as the barrier flickered.
"Not bad, but how long can you keep that up?" Demon Emperor sneered, lifting his hand for another strike.

In the Distance…Far behind, three figures raced toward the shrine. Jean, Aran Lam, and Gunji Zing were closing in, their eyes fixed on the bright light.
"We’re almost there," Aran called out, sweat dripping down his temple. "Ignore the commotion in the distance. The shrine is all that matters."
But Jean suddenly slowed, her gaze locking onto the distant battle.
Gunji noticed Jean’s hesitation. "Sister, why did you stop?"
Jean’s hands trembled. Her eyes widened, filled with disbelief.
"Kent…" she whispered, her voice breaking in shock. "It can’t be…"
"What?" Gunji frowned.
Jean’s body swayed, heart hammering. The one man she had searched for endlessly — the man she thought had never entered the spirit world — stood locked in a deadly clash with the Demon Emperor.
In the battle…Kent staggered back, his sword barely able to deflect the barrage of dark claws. His breathing was ragged, mana reserves dwindling.
"Damn it… this isn’t working," he muttered, blood staining his lips.
"You idiot!" A voice echoed from within his soul space, sharp and impatient.
Kent winced. "Not now…"
The God of Mischief snarled inside his mind. "Listen to me, you’re going to die if you keep holding back. Use the relic. Now!"
"I’ll be fine… need best timing to use relic." Kent snapped.
"Fine? You’re bleeding all over the sands like a stuck pig!" the god roared. "I swear, if you don’t use that broken God Slayer Relic right now, I’ll haunt you in the afterlife!"
Kent gritted his teeth. The relic… It was broke, unpredictable — I’m not sure that broken god slayer relic is enough. The Demon Emperor was too powerful.
"Fine. You win."
Kent reached into his storage ring, his fingers brushing against cold metal. As his hand emerged, a crescent-shaped relic, fractured and pulsing with black and gold energy, rested in his palm.

Demon Emperor’s eyes narrowed. "What’s this?"
Kent’s blood dripped onto the relic’s surface. A soft hum resonated, and the crescent began to glow fiercely, tendrils of light cracking the desert floor beneath it.
Demon Emperor’s smirk faltered, his instincts whispering danger. "That relic… what are you planning, boy?"
Kent’s gaze lifted, burning with defiance. "You’re about to find out."
As he infused his mana, the relic radiated divine brilliance. The sands around them swirled violently.
"Enough of this." Demon Emperor growled, his ten drops of Demon Intent surging around him like a storm.
He raised his hands, conjuring a swirling mass of dark energy. "I’ll crush you before you can even release it. Demon Spear of Annihilation!"
A black spear, pulsing with enough force to shatter mountains, erupted toward Kent.
Kent exhaled softly, gripping the relic tightly.
"Do it," the God of Mischief whispered.
As the spear neared, Kent hurled the relic forward.
The crescent glowed, tearing through the desert air like a comet, its trajectory aimed directly at Demon Emperor’s chest.
Demon Emperor’s eyes widened as the relic pierced his body, embedding deep within. His laughter ceased, replaced by a hoarse gasp.
But even as the Demon Emperor staggered, his spear struck Kent square in the chest.
A flash of light blinded the desert.
Then, silence.
