SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS-Chapter 691: A Threat to Spirit World
Dark Sea…
The churning of the Dark Sea was a sight of chaos and power. Towering waves lashed against the edges of the abyssal mountain, whose jagged peaks rose defiantly from the center of the inky waters.
Beneath a sky perpetually cloaked in twilight red, the demonic forces worked tirelessly, their chants echoing like a twisted hymn of despair.
The serpentine demon beasts, massive creatures with shimmering scales, strained as they pulled against iron chains, dragging colossal machines that churned the sea with unrelenting force.
At the heart of this spectacle stood the new Demon Emperor, Phillip Quinn. His crimson eyes gleamed with ambition, his dark armor glinting under the dim light of the abyss. The scent of blood lingered in the air as he surveyed the scene from atop a black obsidian platform.
Phillip’s lips curled into a smirk as he inspected the treasures already came out from the depths of the Dark Sea.
A demon servant approached and laid a black chest at his feet. Opening it, Phillip’s gaze fell upon a Voidshadow Crystal, a shimmering gem that pulsed with the energy of dark mana. He picked it up, the faint whispers of a trapped ancient soul emanating from within.
"Worthless," Phillip muttered, tossing the crystal aside.
Another servant presented a Serpent King’s Fang, a weapon capable of injecting poison strong enough to dissolve mountains. Phillip scoffed. "Interesting, but still beneath me."
Over the days, the treasures continued to surface—a Dark Flame Orb, a Heart of Abyssal Ice, and even the remains of an ancient demon lord encased in obsidian.
But none of them stirred Phillip’s ambition. "Where is the Abyssal Essence?" he growled, his voice reverberating like thunder. "I want nothing less than the key to half-sovereign power!"
As night descended, the air grew unnaturally heavy. The stars above dimmed, and crimson clouds began to swirl across the sky, their ominous glow bathing the Dark Sea in a blood-red hue. The Demon Master, a hunched figure draped in tattered robes, hurried toward Phillip, his voice trembling with unease.
"My Lord," he rasped, bowing low, "the crimson clouds… they are a bad omen. The spirits of the abyss are restless. It would be wise to halt the churning now."
Phillip let out a derisive laugh. "Bad omen? Fool! We are demons. What is bad for the heavens is good for us. These signs only mean we are close. Continue the churning!"
The Demon Master hesitated but ultimately bowed again. "As you command, my Lord."
An hour passed, and the signs worsened. Dark hawks circled overhead, their eerie cries cutting through the night. The serpentine beasts pulling the machines thrashed violently, their eyes glowing with terror. Even the dark waters seemed to rebel, churning faster and faster as though something monstrous was awakening.
The Demon Master approached again, this time more frantic. "My Lord, the waters… they’re alive! The abyss grows angry. We must stop before it is too late!"
Phillip silenced him with a glare. "Enough of your cowardice. The Abyssal Essence is near—I can feel it. Do not stop until it rises!"
As if responding to his words, the waters around the abyssal mountain began to shift. A deep crimson hue spread across the surface, replacing the black inkiness. Phillip’s eyes widened, a wicked grin spreading across his face.
"Yes!" he bellowed. "The Abyssal Essence! Finally, it reveals itself!"
But his triumph was short-lived. The crimson waters began to bubble violently, and the first tendrils of a lava-like poison erupted from the depths. The substance spread rapidly, hissing and steaming as it dissolved everything in its path.
"Wait… this isn’t essence…" Phillip muttered, his grin fading.
The first screams rang out as the poison reached the demon forces. Those caught in its path melted instantly, their bodies reduced to dust in mere moments. The serpentine beasts howled in agony as the poison consumed them, their massive forms collapsing into the toxic mire.
"Run! Run for your lives!" someone screamed, and chaos erupted. Demons scrambled to escape, pushing and trampling one another in their desperation.
Phillip’s eyes burned with fury as he turned to the Demon Master. "What is happening? What have you unleashed?"
The Demon Master, pale with fear, stammered, "M-my Lord, it’s the Abyssal Poison… the curse of the thousand-headed Mother Snake! She awakens!"
Phillip’s expression darkened. "Impossible. She’s supposed to be dormant and dead!"
As the poison spread, consuming everything in its wake, Phillip made a split-second decision. "Retreat! All forces, retreat immediately!"
The once-mighty Demon Emperor, his ambitions crumbling before him, turned and fled alongside his army. The crimson poison continued to spread, spilling over the edges of the Dark Sea and onto the land, its vile tendrils devouring everything they touched.

"The Abyssal Poison has been unleashed," he announced, his words causing a ripple of shock among the assembled gods. "It originates from the thousand-headed Mother Snake at the bottom of the Abyssal Mountain. If left unchecked, it will consume not just the Dark Sea but the entire realm."
One of the demi-gods, a flame-wreathed figure, stepped forward. "What do you command, War God?"
The War God’s eyes narrowed. "The poison must be driven back into the Dark Sea and sealed. Gather your forces and prepare for blockade. This is no ordinary poison—it is the wrath of the abyss itself."
He turned to space god, a towering figure with sapphire wings. "You will lead the vanguard. Use your powers to contain the spread of the poison while the others push it back. I will oversee the operation myself."

As the demi-gods nodded and began their preparations, the War God’s gaze hardened. "This is no time for hesitation. The survival of our realms depends on our unity. Remember, the Mother Snake must not be awakened further, or we must run away from this spirit world."
Lastly, the war god appeared before poison god and warned him to take full control and responsibility in containing this poison from 1000 headed mother snake.
"Where is Kent?" The poison god asked unconsciously.
