Rin and Erix spent two hours before going to the city in disguise, wearing random armor sets they got from one of the many they killed.

With their faces also covered, the bounty hunters wouldn't recognize them.

'Don't you think there are more people than before? Especially the Royal-order hunters.'

'Yeah, it's as Lilith said.'

Rin and Erix communicated spiritually while roaming the city, eating occasionally, and checking out various stores and things.

They didn't stay in the city for long and returned after two hours.

Sitting before Lilith, the duo also joined to inspect the Eyeball sealed in the box. This was the only thing interesting at the moment.

Moreover, Lilith had indeed made progress.

She unsealed the box except for a thin layer of threads on it and said, "Come out."

Rin and Erix were surprised upon hearing Lilith and soon saw a dark grey smoke oozing as it took a form—a dark gray, misty mouth with black teeth.

"Free me!"

A jarring and crackling voice penetrated their heads and directly rang the trio's minds, startling Erix and Rin.

The mouth turned to Lilith and growled, "Free me!"

"Answer me first," Lilith spoke, "what are you?"

Rin and Erix gulped. They were feeling creeps from the aura of this mouth.

"I am Fallen Hex."

"What's that?"

"I don't know."

Lilith raised her eyebrows.

"Wait, what about the other body parts?" Rin questioned. "This box only has an Eyeball, right?"

"Yeah," Erix nodded, similarly curious.

"I think it really doesn't know anything," Lilith said, "The Eyeball has powers, an even more higher realm of powers than what I have, but it's working based on survival instructions."

Lilith slapped the mouth and said, "You were trying to spread your aura so that someone could find you, and that was why you gradually developed that thin two-kilometer-long branch over the years and then created that strange tree so that others could find you."

"Am I right?"

"I don't know. Free me!"

"It doesn't seem to be able to speak with much intelligence," Rin wryly smiled. "Well, it's an eyeball."

"It looks like I'll have to slowly shave away the soul consciousness in it and make this eyeball ownerless," Lilith ruthlessly grinned.

"No! Free me!" ƒгeewёbnovel.com

The mouth shouted hysterically.

"Be careful," Erix looked at Lilith. "Since you said it has a higher level of powers than you, then you shouldn't be careless."

"Mhm," Lilith smiled, nodding in understanding. "Yep. I'll handle it with ultra caution. As for you two, it's time."

"Two hours are still left, but you should cross the Umbral membrane now," Lilith said as she waved her hand and created two finger-length shadow birds with a single tiny eyeball in place of their heads.

"They are coming?" Rin was surprised. "We also saw a group of over thirty powerhouses in the peripheral area of the town, so I guess they are the ones coming to us."

"And a bunch of Royal-order hunters coming for you and Lily," Erix said.

"Yep," Lilith grinned. "We'll handle it here, so you two should go earlier and feel the true Spada Valley."

"Maintain contact with each other using comm cards, but don't get close physically during battles."

Lilith's expression turned slightly serious, "Do not underestimate the upcoming hunt. You two are powerful, but fighting in Spada Valley is different. The specters there are attracted by strong, so you two will have a rough time."

"But as long as you survive that, you'll have developed enough power to kill a Royal-order with a trick," Lilith added with a smile.

"Lady Lilith, the potions are ready."

Maleina walked towards them with her hunter card in hand.

"Empty it," Lilith said as she gestured at Rin and Erix. "These are your supplies to recover your Mana and buffs. Use them wisely."

"Alright."

"We'll be back in two days."

Lilith nodded. "Two days. No less, no more."

Arriving before the Umbral membrane, Rin and Erix stood and looked at the thin, dark violet membrane. It reflected them and the scenery behind them, but I couldn't see anything past it.

"Wait!"

Klelia and Lyra were rushing towards them with a movement/fly-skill as they swiftly arrived and stood before them.

"What's up, girls?" Rin asked in surprise.

"We want to come with you," Klelia said.

"And then leave," Lyra said.

"What do you mean come and leave?" Erix asked in confusion.

"Umm, we will be leaving soon…like forever," Klelia hesitantly said, her words causing Rin and Erix to be slightly taken aback.

"Forever? You decided to leave?" Rin asked with one eyebrow raised.

"Yes," Lyra said with a sharp and determined expression, her fixed eyes on Erix. "Before we leave, we want to spend some time with you."

"We've recovered half at least, so…" Klelia bit her lips.

Erix felt slightly strange while Rin's womanly instincts were telling her a different story when she looked into their eyes and expressions.

'Erix, I feel like we really might not meet them again yet…I see a strong desire for you in them.'

Rin glanced at Erix. 'They are likely going to do something reckless.'

Rin deduced their motivation!

Erix understood that their decision had something to do with what he said, but that was none of his concern except that he felt slightly compelled to do something.

"Alright," Erix smiled. "Come with me."

Lyra's and Klelia's eyes instantly shone.

"I'll go ahead," Rin chuckled as it rang melodiously, "You should give them a passionate farewell."

Erix kissed her and nodded with a smile, "Alright, see you soon."

After Rin left, Erix smiled at the duo and grabbed their waists before pulling them towards him, "Enemies are coming in two hours-"

"We won't even take an hour," Klelia said, her long bunny ears perked up straight and her eyes serious.

An hour later, Erix stood amazed as he looked at a strange-dimension door that Lyra opened using an eccentric ball.

"This..."

Lyra looked at Erix with burning resolve and ambition, "We will make you look at us as your equal and make you fall for us with your whole so that you will never feel forced again."

Erix was startled. 'Forced?…maybe, she is right…'

"We don't know how long it will take, but we will return," Klelia said, her expression no less intense than Lyra's. "We will make you want us, Erix."

"I have strange confidence that awakened thanks to you," Lyra grinned. "We will carve our path towards you, but we don't want to see you behind at that time."

Erix pulled her in and gave her a passionate kiss.

"You will not see me behind, I will make sure of that," Erix laughed and pulled in Klelia next before hugging both of them.

"And I will not stop…but you must make sure to return to my arms."
