Supreme Harem God System-Chapter 1956 Can you defeat an Eternal?
Chapter 1956 Can you defeat an Eternal?
"Whoever gave him that mission knew that I would come to protect you, even if the one who captured you was a Transcendent and the odds were highly stacked against us.
It must mean it was someone who knew me and had some sort of enmity with me.
Since he even specifically mentioned killing one of you, it must be someone who holds quite a deep grudge.
Any idea who it could be?"
Nux questioned as he stared at his wives.
"All such enemies were in Yrniel and already dealt with.
You didn't attract any attention ever since you left Yrniel,"
Felberta answered with a frown, and as strange as those words sounded, they were indeed correct.
The only attention Nux attracted was the Universe's, and that too, as an anomaly.
Anyone who knew him as an anomaly shouldn't know about his connection with the Leander Family Mercenary Party.
To directly target his wives to get to him…
"It doesn't have to be someone who holds a grudge against you,"
suddenly, Aeliana spoke up.
"Mhm, you said that the mission that Transcendent received was to activate the call artifact and summon them when you appeared.
Whoever the mission lister was, it doesn't seem like he knows exactly how strong you are.
The very fact that he thinks that Malrik could kill your wives before you could get there proves that.
It seems like he feels that even you will be helpless against a Transcendent Stage Being, so why would he want the Transcendent to summon them?"
Amaya jumped in with an explanation as well.
Something that made Nux smile.
"To either capture me alive, making sure I do not self-explode trying to protect my wives or…
To protect me."
Amaya smiled, nodding her head.
"To protect a fake sense of reliance,"
Aeliana muttered.
Then, the Vampire looked into Nux's eyes.
"Now, who is it that does not know the full extent of your power, doesn't care about your wives' lives, and wants you to rely on him?"
And very quickly, the list narrowed down to one being.
"My dear father,"
Nux's face turned cold.
"I was expecting him to return. He came later than I expected,"
Astaria commented.
"How convenient, isn't it?"
suddenly, Aeliana chuckled.
"He returned when my father was asleep."
She pointed out.
After all, all of this did happen after Azriel went to sleep. Everything about him becoming the Universe's child happened after this.
"He was waiting for his chance, huh…"

Vyriana raised her eyebrow, impressed.
"So what do we do now?"
Felberta questioned, staring at the rest of the women, and silence fell over the place.
"There is an option of doing what Malrik suggested and summoning the ones who gave the mission. It might lead us to Zylarith,"
Allura suggested.
"But what after that?
What are we going to do even after we reach Zylarith?"
Eisheth questioned.
Amaya nodded at those words.
"We know practically nothing about that man. All we know is that he is in his Soul Form and hiding from the Universe. He cannot use his powers, sure,
but he found the means to list a mission and pay a price generous enough for a Transcendent Stage Mercenary to accept it."
"I agree, the price to hire a Transcendent isn't cheap,"
Ember nodded.
"Most of those are the Heads of Mercenary Halls, earning a lot more than what many believe. For a mission to make them move, the price would be quite big."
"It was a High-Level Relic,"
Nux answered.
He had seen the details of the mission through Malrik's memory.
"A High-Level Relic, huh…"
Ember muttered.
"So that father of yours has something like that…"
Eisheth muttered, staring at Nux.
Nux laughed.
"He must have a lot more than that.
He was the Progenitor of a once Supreme World, after all."
"But still, he wouldn't be able to do all this alone. He still needs to hide his presence. He must have people working for him."
"Of course, how hard do you think that is for a being like him?
He manipulated the Umbrasol Progenitors into doing what he wanted. What is stopping him from manipulating another High-Level World?"
Nux pointed out.
"Are you saying that he has a High-Level World working under him?"
Thyra questioned.
"I am just considering it to be the worst-case scenario. He cannot play his games with a Supreme-Level World; those beings would erase his existence before he could do anything."
"There are chances that they might be working together."
"If they were, a Transcendent wouldn't be the one sent after me. There would have been no need for plans or anything like that. They would have captured you all together with me."
Nux answered, and Aeliana nodded.
"That is correct. The last thing he wants right now is to attract the Supreme Worlds' attention. It has to be a High-Level World or a weaker one."
"It is a High-Level World,"
Amaya spoke with confidence.
"A Middle-Level World handing out a High-Level Artifact would be too suspicious."
Nux nodded at those words.
"So… our enemy is a High-Level World?"
"Yes,"
Amaya and Aeliana nodded with certainty.
"And… what are we supposed to do about it…?"
Vyriana questioned.
A High-Level World meant an encounter with an Eternal, and defeating an Eternal…
"It is impossible,"
Nux, who knew what his wives were thinking, muttered with a solemn look on his face.
"It would be different if I could devour them and bring them into my Universe where I am Absolute and can do whatever I want,
but for that, I would need them in a still position for a few seconds, similar to how it happened with Malrik. With our strength, let alone having them still, even getting close to an Eternal is next to impossible."
"…"
Silence fell over the place.
The women continued to think of a way around, but nothing came to their minds. Defeating Eternals was impossible, so what were they supposed to do?
"What if you break through and become a Transcendent?
Can you defeat an Eternal then?"
"I can, but…"
"Then let's leave this matter aside and shift our focus on gathering all the Primordial Energies,"
Amaya declared, and though unwilling, the rest of the women nodded, agreeing with those words.
"Well…
We will, but,"
Nux suddenly spoke up.
"Let's at least try and find out what my father is planning, no?"
