Surviving In Another World With My Three Cups!-Chapter 130: HEAD MAID HAN
"Fuck me."
Lin Xu said unconsciously, her eyes staring straight at Mo Ying.
"Isn’t that what you want from me? Men! Once they have sex with you, they forget all about you," Lin Xu said as she grabbed his collar.
"You can have your way with me and let me go, Mo Ying. Stop deceiving yourself. Love? Men can’t love, they are only scumbags," she voiced out as silent tears fell from her eyes.
Mo Ying pulled her into his arms and held her tightly. He didn’t try to kiss her or touch her, he just held her as if he was afraid she would disappear.
"I don’t want anything from you," he said quietly. "I don’t want your body. I just want you."
Lin Xu pushed at his chest with trembling hands, tears falling down her face. "Let me go..." she muttered, her voice breaking. "Don’t lie to me... don’t pretend..."
But Mo Ying didn’t move. He kept holding her, firm but gentle.
"I’m not pretending," he whispered. "I’m right here. And I’m not leaving you."
Lin Xu’s strength slowly faded, her hands still pressed weakly against him. She kept shaking her head, crying softly, but Mo Ying didn’t loosen his embrace. He simply held her, letting her cry, letting her break, until she stopped fighting.
Mo Ying lifted her again, carrying her gently in his arms. Lin Xu didn’t resist; she simply watched him with empty, quiet eyes.
He took her into her room and laid her softly on the bed. For a moment, he just looked at her, trying to read the expression she refused to show.
She didn’t speak. She didn’t move. She only stared at him calmly, almost as if she wasn’t really present.
Mo Ying knelt beside the bed and slowly removed her shoes, carefully placing them aside. Then he slipped off his own shoes and loosened his outer robe. He walked to the wardrobe, opening it quietly. He had placed some of his clothes there days earlier, just in case. He took out a comfortable night robe for her, and one for himself.
When he returned, Lin Xu was still lying there, silent and blank.
He hesitated only for a moment before lifting her again. She didn’t react, she just allowed him to hold her, her arms resting limply at her sides.
Mo Ying carried her to the bath. The water had already been prepared earlier by the servants, still warm and calm. He set her down gently inside it, supporting her back so she wouldn’t slip.
She still said nothing.
He removed his own robe and stepped into the water with her—not touching her in any inappropriate way, only staying close enough to support her. He sat behind her and let her lean against him, letting her rest between his arms.
The bath was quiet.
Only the faint sound of water moving.
Lin Xu didn’t look at him. She didn’t speak.
But she let her body relax little by little, as if her silence was the only thing keeping her together.
Mo Ying held her softly from behind, not forcing a word out of her, simply being there.
Lin Xu leaned back against him, her voice soft, almost childish.
"I... hate you," she murmured.
Mo Ying lowered his head slightly, his breath touching the side of her hair.
"I love you," he answered calmly.
Lin Xu frowned weakly. "You’re ugly."
He let out a quiet breath, almost a laugh. "You’re beautiful."
She shifted a little, still not looking at him. "You’re annoying."
"I’ll still stay," he replied gently.
Lin Xu’s fingers moved slightly in the water, her voice trembling.
"You always do what you want."
"I only want you safe," he said, tightening his arms around her just a little.
She bit her lip. "...I don’t trust you."
Mo Ying rested his chin lightly on her shoulder. "Then I’ll wait until you do."
Lin Xu’s eyes softened, wavering. "I don’t like waiting."
"Then I’ll go at your pace," he whispered.
For a moment, she was quiet again, her breathing slow but unsteady.
"...Mo Ying," she said softly, "you’re still ugly."
He smiled faintly. "And you’re still beautiful."
This time, she didn’t argue.
She only leaned a little closer, her voice barely audible.
"...Idiot."
"Then I’ll be your idiot," he replied.
After they finished bathing, Mo Ying lifted Lin Xu gently from the water.
She didn’t resist, just let her arms rest around his neck as he carried her out.
He set her down carefully on a soft stool and took a towel, drying her hair first, slow and patient.
Lin Xu didn’t look away from him even once.
When he dressed her in the clean night robe, tying the ribbon around her waist, her gaze followed every small movement of his hands.
Finally, she spoke, her voice quiet but steady.
"Why... are you doing all this?" she asked.
Mo Ying paused, lifting his eyes to hers.
"Because you matter to me," he said simply.
Lin Xu blinked, her lashes trembling. "You don’t have to."
"I want to," he replied, pulling the robe gently over her shoulders.
She looked at him for a long moment. "...What if I don’t believe you?"
Mo Ying tied the last knot of her robe, then straightened.
"Then I’ll keep proving it," he said softly.
Lin Xu’s throat tightened. "That sounds tiring."
Mo Ying gave a small smile. "For you? Never."
Her fingers moved slightly, brushing the fabric of his sleeve.
"Mo Ying..." she whispered, eyes still on him. "You’re strange."
He leaned forward a little, meeting her gaze fully.
"You are way more strange than I am," he replied with a soft laugh. Lin Xu just rolled her eyes.
With that, Mo Ying slid one arm under her legs and lifted her again, carrying her to the bed.
He set her down gently and pulled the blanket over her, making sure she was warm before lying down beside her.
As soon as he settled, he reached out and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer, not rough, just firm enough so she wouldn’t roll away from him.
Lin Xu didn’t say anything, but her body stiffened for a moment.
Mo Ying only held her tighter, resting his head lightly on her shoulder, his breath warm against her neck.
"Don’t run from me tonight," he murmured softly.
Lin Xu stared at the wall in front of her. "...I wasn’t planning to."
Mo Ying gave a small satisfied hum and closed his eyes, still holding her like she might disappear if he let go.
The next morning, Lin Xu woke up and as soon as she opened her eyes she found Mo Ying staring at her. At this point she was already used to it. He smiled and stood up; he was already dressed.
The next morning,
Lin Xu slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes as Mo Ying stood there smiling at her like some overexcited child.
"Since you’re awake," he said proudly, "and I was the first person you saw, it means you’ll think about me all day."
Lin Xu stared at him, speechless.
"...You really believe that?"
"I don’t need to believe it," Mo Ying said, crossing his arms with confidence. "It’s a fact."
Lin Xu let out a small sigh. This man truly had too many personalities. One moment he was cold like ice, the next he was stubborn and childish, then suddenly gentle and clingy. She honestly didn’t know which version was his real self.
But she couldn’t deny... he only ever showed these sides to her.
Mo Ying walked closer and tapped her forehead lightly with his finger.
"Stop thinking too much," he said. "You’ll get wrinkles."
Lin Xu slapped his hand away. "Shut up."
He laughed softly, unfazed. "Cute."
"I’m not cute." she argued.
"You are." he argued back smiling.
"You’re annoying." she rolled her eyes though a slight smile lingered on her lips.
"I know," he replied with zero shame.
Lin Xu rolled her eyes and got out of bed. As she walked toward her wardrobe, she felt Mo Ying’s gaze following her like a shadow. She stopped and looked back at him. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
"Why are you staring at me?" she asked a soft red on her cheeks.
Mo Ying answered instantly. "Because you’re pretty."
She paused... then shook her head. "You’re hopeless."
He didn’t even deny it.
He just smiled and stepped closer, reaching out to straighten a strand of her messy morning hair.
"Get dressed," he said softly. "Breakfast is ready. I won’t have breakfast with you guys though, but I will be back for dinner. I promise."
He turned to leave, then stopped at the door.
"And Lin Xu," he added, glancing back with a small smile, "whether you like it or not... I’ll stay on your mind today."
She grabbed a pillow and threw it at him.
He dodged easily, laughing as he closed the door behind him.
Lin Xu huffed quietly, but a faint smile still appeared on her lips as she went to get dressed.
