The cave fell silent a moment after she finished speaking.

Just as she was wondering what was going on, the Beastman beside her suddenly burst out laughing. Wu Yue glared at him, displeased. "What’s so funny?"

Yuan Lang’s deep eyes crinkled with mirth. It was the first time Wu Yue had ever seen the Beastman laugh so heartily, and for a moment, she was stunned.

Being stared at by her slightly displeased eyes, Yuan Lang felt a warmth spread from his heart, making his entire body flush with heat.

He tightened his arm around her again and leaned close to her ear, his low, magnetic voice laced with amusement. "Those two big rats you saw were actually big tigers."

At the thought of a hole deep enough to make tigers look like rats, Wu Yue instantly wrapped her arms around the Beastman’s neck. "Be careful."

Yuan Lang chuckled. "I’ll take that to mean you’re worried about me."

Wu Yue gave a hollow laugh. "Of course... Of course..."

"Why are you all here? Is this for a tribe mission?"

"Is there no other way out of this pit?"

The Beastman frowned and shook his head. "We’ve searched every nook and cranny of this cave, but there isn’t a single exit."

A while later, the two of them finally made it down the wall. They looked up and saw two... big tigers... sitting on the ground.

"Yue, take a good look at this handsome tiger face of mine. Tell me, which part of it looks like a rat?"

Wu Yue laughed awkwardly. "It was probably because we were so high up that I couldn’t see clearly. I never would have guessed it was you two."

The resentful Teng Qian shifted back into his Beastman form and sat cross-legged on the ground. He then picked up something that looked like a Stone Crystal and tossed it at Wu Yue. "Take that!"
