Chapter 318: Chapter 121: The Gods of Time and Space Who Have Overcome Their Last Shortcoming

William’s words made the Chancellor nod and then shake his head, "But Mr. Polanio should be born that way. His past life was hardly happy."

William smiled, "Hill is truly childish, you can’t tell at all that he is legendary.

Now he’s actually hiding in a tree to sleep. Is he planning to drag out the time, hoping I won’t feel cheated? I’m not unaware of what Nature’s Blessing is all about! And to think he conjured up a few Wood Elemental Spirits to deal with the situation, how naive this kid is! Forget it, let him be. It must be the nature of a Nature Warlock! He’ll be fine in a few years."

The Chancellor couldn’t help but laugh, "Your Highness, you just don’t understand how revered a legend truly is!"

William and the Chancellor stopped talking about Hill and slowly started discussing some new policies.

The most important one was about to begin migrating people to the newly established towns.

Then, there was whether or not to start building the national road from the west to the Royal Capital in advance after the magicians moved over.

The magicians may be troublesome, but their odd and diverse bloodlines enable them to create many special things, which are very popular.

But to let them sell their goods by themselves would only invite trouble, given that they are too temperamental and prone to angrily chase away customers.

However, if it’s just trade caravans coming in to purchase goods, they can still suppress their tempers. After all, money isn’t ugly; they still want it.

William hoped to find a trade caravan dominated by female Professionals to go purchase goods from the Sorcerer Tower.

The Chancellor also thought it was a good idea, so they would need to consider fixing the road in the west first. Some of the smaller towns could wait a bit longer for development.

Their discussion was very enthusiastic, and they even called in other ministers to talk about these matters.

Hill, lying on a large tree in the garden, was blissfully unaware of William’s evaluations and thus could sleep contentedly.

If he knew that one of the reasons William had ruled out him being a time traveler was that he seemed too foolish to be someone in his forties, he might have exploded with indignation and confronted William to confess his true identity himself.

Hill would never admit to being foolish; of course, an Earth Magic man wouldn’t be as scheming as those who dabble in politics!

How could anyone suspect a mother who hides in her laboratory every day of actually being a cunning player?

Thus, he slept quite satisfactorily and, upon waking up to see that the Wood Elemental Spirits had automatically returned to the Elemental Realm, he dusted off his bottom and left the Royal Palace.

On the way home, Hill also stopped by to buy some more meat sandwiches.

Unexpectedly, the queue was very long.

Luckily, the sandwiches, made with Magical Beast Meat, were pricier than other foods, or else he really couldn’t have bought much.

Why had the number of the Undead Tribe in the Royal Capital increased?

They were always complaining about not being able to do much in the Royal Capital and would leave as soon as they finished shopping.

Hill quietly stood in line, with his ears perked up, listening to the chattering of the Undead Tribe.

It sounded like William was planning to hold a competition for the best fighters?

Hill listened intently, knowing there would be a live broadcast, but many people still preferred to watch the event live.

The preliminary rounds were starting this afternoon!

Hill hurried home after buying his food; he did want to catch the excitement.

When he returned to the Lord’s Mansion in the small town, he discovered that, apart from those settled "salted fish" of the Undead Tribe, most had already left his territory.

And those "salted fish," down beneath, had set up an old-fashioned wrought-iron dining table filled with delicacies, complemented by traditional long wooden chairs at its sides.

It looked like they wanted to have a cold buffet.

Unbeknownst to Hill, his townspeople had already become very friendly with these settled members of the Undead Tribe.

Donning comfortable clothes, they too gathered around the table, enjoying a lovely afternoon together.

Hill smiled as he entered the 4th floor from the balcony.

Knowing Hill’s temperament, Marsha had renovated not just the 3rd floor but also the 4th floor.

The 3rd floor would only be used for some formal guests.

The everyday spaces for Hill were now on the 4th floor.

The 4th floor was divided into three parts: a rather large reception room, a bedroom with a washroom, and a spacious study.

In the living room, Hill could entertain some familiar guests, or handle the affairs of his territory in the study room on the other side.

The study had a slightly better view, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allowed Hill to clearly see the giant screen.

Marsha was already there, having set up a dining table much like the one downstairs for him.

Hill’s Tower Spirit knew him well.

Sitting by the window and enjoying the delicious food, Hill had a very pleasant day.

Old Cat and the others were discussing the upcoming battles, and the giant screen was gradually unveiled.

It sounded like the preliminary rounds would be broadcast randomly. Old Cat loudly said to a little girl sitting next to him, "You’ve got to watch the preliminary rounds! What’s so interesting about those official matches? Their Skills, no matter how well executed, can’t compare to this world’s residents. It’s more fun to watch the final days of the specters!"

"Anli Er, don’t listen to his nonsense," Xiao Chenhuan chimed in. "This Sky Knight, if he doesn’t use his mighty moves, even the ladies in our territory could beat him silly!"

The little Junior Mage named Anli Er couldn’t help but laugh, "Why would the guard sisters fight with him?"

"He has the title of Deputy Mayor," Xiao Chenhuan said with disdain, "Back then he would go and challenge the sisters, and they’d be too polite to refuse him. But he’s shameless—getting beaten to a pulp and still going back for more. The only good thing is it made us get familiar with the sisters."

Looking down, Hill saw his guard girls listening to the conversation, still able to sip their fruit wine and nibble on pastries without the slightest change of expression. It seemed they were already used to these Undead’s banter.
