Surviving The Fourth Calamity-Chapter 343 - 142: The Undead Tribe’s Truth or Dare Adventure
Fran didn’t know if it were he, at the age of twenty, again and again fortune came, and temptations abounded, whether he would greedily want everything.
Yet, Hill had never wavered; he always chose the path he most desired, and could ignore the rest, no matter how appealing they might appear.
Though outwardly gentle, he was, in fact, enormously strong inside.
This was precisely why Hill’s journey had always been smooth and unobstructed.
Fran watched with a smile as Hill said farewell and departed, knowing he was eager to return to that enormous screen.
William had already set off.
Hill entered the Lord’s Mansion quietly at dusk.
Old Cat and the others were indeed already there, having sat down long ago.
These guys, even if they participate in world tasks, could never rank that high.
Therefore, almost without exception, the members of the Undead Tribe in Hill’s Domain were seated below.
This expedition was probably of great interest to everyone in Saral.
Seeing that all his villagers had come and were seated around the table, even bringing their children along, Hill watched.
The girls of the Undead Tribe were now entertaining the children.
The natural spirit was strong within Hill’s Domain, so these children were all quite well-grown; they might not be that beautiful, but they were adorable.
Their parents were the type who loved a leisurely life, and since they had grown up together, the children had a good relationship, happily calling their mates when they found something they liked.
Such children, even for those who usually disliked kids, were impossible to hate.
Moreover, those in Hill’s Domain of the Undead Tribe were all life enthusiasts.
Thus, they got along very well.
The parents also smiled as they watched the girls of the Undead Tribe play with their children, the genuine affection for their kids making the parents even more joyful.
Hill watched them, feeling content. Although there weren’t many community members, he was still quite a successful lord!
But his attention was soon drawn away by the commentary on the large screen.
"William, having bought some legendary treasures from Hill. They’re very powerful, as everyone knows," said the large face of the journalist known as ’Witness’ suddenly appearing on screen, "but many have always been puzzled by the note under the description of the treasures, saying that those with ill intent will be punished by the light of justice. If you’ve secrets aplenty, don’t stand within 60 meters of the painting for more than three hours.
Many are defiant, but The Wise Ones know not to rush in and court death.
Like me, I think it’s better to wait and see what happens to the brave ones.
After all, everyone is aware that it sounds very much like that light wave we use to make people tell the truth under hypnosis.
William has actually hinted that it’s for keeping spies off the spaceship. So it’s a nondiscriminatory, massive move.
Unfortunately, the curiosity of the Undead Tribe is always their greatest enemy."
After speaking for a while, the Witness moved out of the frame, letting everyone see the ensuing chaos on the scene.
"This treasure of Hill’s, not to mention its other functions, but its ability to make people tell the truth under hypnosis is really strong!"
The view inside was a very large ship hall, capable of accommodating tens of thousands of people.
In the center of the ship’s hall, Hill’s painting was firmly fixed on a tall pedestal.
Around it was the chaotic mess of the Undead Tribe.
"William must have anticipated this outcome, so he sealed the hall. Those who want to fight can only use their own hands," the Witness paused, "and also their mouths and heads?"
A person dressed as a knight was fiercely using his head to ram another’s head, who seemed to be a Priest, his ear already bitten off.
"Earth Knight, eh! What a hard head," the Witness exclaimed; his companion had already relayed to him the cause of this feud.
"Indeed, melodrama is always just one pot after another." He muttered, "That Priest has inherently strong willpower, he was convinced he wouldn’t succumb to hypnosis, so he entered the painting’s vicinity when his friend suspected him of having a fling with his wife.
Wanting to show his innocence.
Unfortunately, what William meant by ’maximum’ was indeed the maximum, and it had nothing to do with the strength of spiritual power.
He didn’t even wait for the Knight to question him, just spilled all the beans himself.
The affair had gone beyond being just a fling. The Knight, unwilling to let it go, asked who the child belonged to, and the Priest hesitated. He didn’t know himself.
No one here to break up this pair, the Priest just got beat up; we should check the back, this is criminal!" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
The Witness shook his head, deciding to ignore the fight and as he passed the badly beaten Priest, seemed to accidentally step directly on him, "Sorry, didn’t see, thought there was no one underfoot!"
Then, a grand Shura Field ensued.
A brawl of four women against one man.
The Witness laughed heartily, "The Mage Profession is famous for its high IQ and good math skills; those who can calculate well have more powerful Skills. Particularly Mages who study Alchemy. So, they are very popular.
Unfortunately, being a scoundrel doesn’t depend on IQ.
Daring to juggle four, even including a pair of arch-enemies.
Wow! I’ve only ever heard of people getting along with close friends before; this is the first Brave to include arch-enemies in his circle!
They say this might be the first time these two ladies have cooperated since becoming enemies!"
Those feuding ladies were instantly recognizable.
As opposed to the other two ladies busy pummeling the Male Mage, while they were shredding and kicking the scoundrel, they still managed to sneak in hits on each other.
"The boldest part is, he actually played four swordswomen!" the Witness clicked his tongue, "Perhaps he thought, if things went south, he could just fly away? Swordswomen wouldn’t be able to catch up?
Indeed, heaven won’t let off such a scoundrel who drags four along! A man who couldn’t even find a single girlfriend, the accumulated resentment was profound! Flipped just when it was most fitting!
Ah, the speed of a Swordswoman’s punch, truly the fastest! That shadowless kick really~ hehe~
I wonder what his pain sensitivity setting is? Us single folks always keep it at the lowest, but I hear some people, for the sake of experiencing gentle affection, turn it quite high when not on missions~"
Hill heard a loud ’wow’ coming from downstairs, everyone understood what the Witness meant.
"He’s set it the highest!" a lady occupied with beating someone raised her head to say, her expression fierce, her physique agile, her eyes full of fury.
"Why would he be foolish enough to believe he wouldn’t capsize?" the Witness couldn’t help but ask.
"Of course, because it’s not today’s ship that’s capsizing! It’s just today’s beating!" another slim lady also sneered, "If it wasn’t for these arch-enemies being present, no one would have guessed he had capsized long ago!
