Chapter 375: Chapter 375: Admitting Fault

"Moira, please forgive me, I really know I was wrong."

Moira Young kept a stern face, didn’t waste words, walked to the door, opened it, and nodded towards Ruby who was still inside begging for forgiveness.

Ruby bit her lip secretly but maintained a smile on her face, stubbornly saying, "Moira, I will definitely make you forgive me."

Moira lifted her hand, gesturing for Ruby to leave, and Ruby feigned a bit of disappointment as she walked out the door.

"Wow, that’s amazing, Moira, you call this killing without a trace." Saying this, Joe ran over happily.

Hugging the girl leaning on her, Moira teased, "Yeah, look at me, overturning mountains and seas."

Joe laughed heartily and quickly ran away, and the two of them started joking and laughing in the room.

Ruby stood at the doorway, listening to the sounds inside, biting her lip hard. She refused to believe that after managing to pacify so many people, she couldn’t handle even one Moira Young.

In the following days, Ruby went above and beyond in showing affection to Moira Young, even more than the previous days. People in the crew were stunned, unable to understand why the actress who constantly troubled the leading actress suddenly changed her behavior.

Moira Young got somewhat annoyed, discussing it with Joe for a long time without figuring it out. Unable to bear it, she eventually nodded, agreeing to forgive Ruby, but secretly reached an understanding with Aiden Webb.

In the afternoon, Ruby didn’t have any scenes so she waited beside Moira Young.

"Finished filming."

Upon hearing the director’s call for a cut, Ruby was quicker than Joe, rushing over.

Moira Young nodded and walked straight towards her dressing room.

"How about we go out for dinner together later?"

Moira Young raised her eyebrows, glanced at Ruby in the mirror and said, "Sure, you choose the place."

"Great, great, then it’s settled. I’ll send you the address later," she said, her smile becoming more intense.

"Okay."

Ruby walked to the door, suddenly turned around, pointed at Joe and said, "Moira, you should come alone then. I don’t want this little sidekick following, it would spoil the mood."

"I..." Joe was so angry she couldn’t speak, only glaring at Ruby who looked at her with disdain.

Moira Young squinted, took off one earring, and said with a faint smile, "Alright, let Joe have a little holiday."

"Moira," Joe tugged at Moira Young’s sleeve defiantly.

"Haha, this is how sisters go shopping," said Moira, leaving with a laugh.

Joe sulked, waiting for Moira Young to finish packing before following slowly back to the hotel.

"Alright, I’m done teasing you." Moira Young knocked Joe’s head lightly, looking serious and said, "Ruby’s changes these days must be leading up to a big move. If I don’t play along, who knows how long she’ll keep bothering me. Today seems like the day to reel her in. I agreed not to let you go, but not for fun."

Joe’s eyes brightened increasingly with Moira Young’s words.

"You’re the key, once I leave, you need to quickly find Aiden Webb, explain the situation, and have him figure out a way to rescue me. I’ll constantly update you and the team on my whereabouts."

Moira Young said this, putting her hand in front of Joe, giving it a squeeze, easing the tension and said, "Comrade Joe, the organization entrusts you with this task, can you guarantee to complete it?"

"Rest assured, Joe will definitely fulfil the task satisfactorily, and not let the bad guy succeed." With that said, they both looked at each other and burst out laughing.

As soon as she changed her clothes, the doorbell rang, Moira Young signaled "ok" to Joe before opening the door wide.

"Not bad." Looking at Moira Young in a fitted long dress, Ruby smiled more broadly, secretly thinking, good, saves me from having to dress her up.

Moira Young politely smiled, "Go ask the director for leave."

The two entered the elevator together, heading to Marcus Mercer’s floor.

"You two are going out together?"

Marcus Mercer was quite surprised, he knew well about Ruby’s backdoor tricks.

"What’s the matter, Director, why can’t we go out together?" Ruby said, grabbing Moira Young’s arm at her side.

Trying twice but failing to escape, enduring the discomfort, Moira Young said coldly, "Director, just agree to it."

With that, she pretended to adjust her slipping handbag, finally freeing her arm.

Marcus Mercer saw through it, understanding that both must have their own hidden motives, simply acting in front of him, feeling a little speechless; he didn’t expect them to remain so devoted even off-screen, helplessly agreeing with a nod.

"Thanks to the director then."

Both nodded towards Marcus Mercer before turning to go downstairs.

Meanwhile, Joe waited for the corridor to clear, hurriedly took another elevator to find Aiden Webb.

"She’s going herself?" Joe nodded timidly at Aiden Webb’s expressionless face, realizing her artist was much better, no matter how handsome the actor, he was truly intimidating when angry.

"Understood."

"Yes, yes, Professor Webb, Moira also said she would keep updating us, probably sending a message soon."

"Leave the phone."

Joe was surprised, mouth agape, seeing that Aiden Webb was insistent, she reluctantly handed over her phone, "Professor Webb, can’t I stay too?"

Aiden Webb ignored her, took the phone, and placed it on the table beside him.

Joe hesitated for a while, seeing no one driving her away, she suppressed her worry, quietly shrinking in a corner, staring at the phone in the distance.

"We’ll go shopping first, then watch a movie, and finally go for dinner, sounds good?"

Ruby fastened her seatbelt and started the car.

"Okay, whatever you decide is fine."

Despite the growing excitement inside, she maintained outward composure, thinking, Moira Young, today I’ll make sure your pleas go unheard by heaven and earth, humph.

"The movie was okay, but the female lead’s acting was terrible. If I acted in it, it definitely wouldn’t be like that, tsk..."

Moira Young glanced sideways at Ruby with disdain, adjusting her sunglasses.

Clearly, they were not of the same kind, sigh, so exhausting.

"Come on, I’ll take you to eat, it’s a new restaurant I found, the decor is nice, guaranteed satisfaction."

Nodding in agreement, they got in the car, Moira Young took out her phone, sending another message to Joe and the team.

"What’s up, someone contacting you?" Ruby grew suspicious.

"No, just playing a game." Moira Young said, turning the phone screen towards Ruby.

"You’ve been playing since the beginning non-stop."

Moira Young shrugged, helplessly saying, "It’s too hard, but it’s fun, you should try it."

"Haha, no thanks, you go ahead."

Being a gaming noob, playing what, with this thought, she dismissed her doubts.

They arrived at the restaurant, after ordering, Ruby boasted, "So, not bad right?"

Moira Young nodded, looking around the restaurant’s decor, unexpectedly finding Ruby’s taste to be decent.
