Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 410: Comfort
Moira Young stretched her legs while looking at the item in her hand: "Stationary store expenses."
"Didn’t you usually not pay much attention to these?" Joe asked inquisitively, shifting his position.
"I don’t usually, but isn’t this like recharging? Just in case I encounter such a role in the future, I can know a bit."
In reality, only Moira Young knew the true purpose behind it.
"Wow, Moira, you’re really thoughtful."
Joe praised enthusiastically, but Moira rolled her eyes at him.
"I’ll still pay you your salary every month, don’t worry. Even if we’re out of work, my spare money can still turn us into little rich women," Moira said with a smile.
Joe jumped up immediately: "Oh yeah, I definitely want to cling onto your big leg, Moira." Saying that, he tried to hug her, but Moira sidestepped him with a kick.
"Mr. Webb."
Night had fallen, and the cold wind howled as the assistant draped a leather coat over Aiden Webb, who had just left the studio.
"How are things going with Moira recently?"
Aiden Webb got into the RV, feeling a bit exhausted.
After completing that task, he went straight to work, isolated for nearly a month, and finally finished.
As the RV drove towards the hotel, the assistant placed a thermos bottle beside Aiden Webb.
"Ms. Young’s issue has been resolved; she held a press conference to personally clear the air." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
Aiden Webb closed his eyes and softly acknowledged.
"However," the assistant hesitated, noticing Aiden Webb’s indifferent expression as he opened his eyes slightly and glanced at him coldly, he continued, "Ms. Young is now banned by AE. There’s word online that AE doesn’t like such troublesome artists. It appears someone stirred things up behind the scenes."
Narrowing his eyes, thinking Moira Young must be upset, Aiden Webb darkened his expression and said after a moment, "Cancel the upcoming work."
"But Mr. Webb, some contracts have been signed, and the penalty costs..."
Aiden Webb cast a cold sideways glance.
"Understood, I’ll take care of it."
After dropping Aiden Webb at the hotel, the assistant began busy calling each contact to cancel the shoots and pay the penalties.
The next afternoon, Aiden Webb, fully rested, drove to Moira Young’s apartment.
"Ding-dong."
Moira Young stood up from the sofa and ran to open the door: "Coming."
"Hey, brother, why are you here?"
She was really surprised to see Aiden Webb at the door, knowing how busy he was; otherwise, he wouldn’t stop appearing after sending a tweet.
Aiden Webb entered the room: "Looking for you, I know everything."
Seeing the chill emanating from him, Moira Young playfully stuck out her tongue.
"Hehe, so are you here to persuade me?"
Aiden Webb turned and patted Moira Young’s head with his right hand.
"No, I’m taking you out."
"Out? Where and why?"
As Moira led him to the small kitchen, she asked, "Black coffee?"
Aiden Webb nodded and leaned against the nearby cabinet.
"It’s the perfect time for you to travel abroad and relax."
The coffee machine started to roar, and Moira Young focused on her task at hand.
"Don’t you still have work? I heard you’ve been really busy lately."
Aiden Webb showed no expression: "When am I not busy?"
Moira Young blinked: "Haha, true. So how come you have time to take me on a trip abroad?"
Grabbing the cup, the black coffee slowly dripped in.
"Here, drink this first, I’ll make a cup of hot cocoa."
Aiden Webb moved his eyebrows slightly, strongly feeling that this girl was not afraid of gaining weight, drinking hot cocoa like water, as he saw her doing often.
Watching him take a sip, Moira Young smiled brightly.
"How is it? Does it taste good?"
Aiden Webb nodded and took another sip.
Moira Young fiddled with things as she continued the previous conversation, "You still haven’t answered my question, how come you have time to play?"
"It’s okay, there’s always time when squeezed."
Holding the freshly made hot cocoa, the two headed over to the sofa.
"But, brother, I don’t really want to go out."
Aiden Webb glanced at the coffee table, noticing a series of books on actor cultivation by Konstantin Stanislavski, chuckling internally.
The child in his family really never would give up on herself.
"Which volume are you reading?"
Aiden Webb glanced over at the books, and Moira Young smiled shyly.
"Volume two, almost done."
"That’s perfect. This time, we’ll be going to Rovalia."
Moira Young’s eyes lit up instantly; to be honest, she was indeed very interested in Rovalia.
"We’ll also visit Albia, Ostrana, and other places."
Seeing that Aiden Webb was mentioning all art capitals, Moira Young felt somewhat tempted. After hesitating for a bit, she nodded in agreement under Aiden Webb’s watchful gaze.
A slight smile flashed across Aiden Webb’s lips, disappearing instantly.
"Pack your things in the next two days; we’ll leave the day after tomorrow."
"Alright." Moira Young gestured ’OK’ with her hand.
In the evening, Joe came back, and the two planned to have hot pot today, so Moira Young took the opportunity to tell him about the trip.
The hot pot restaurant was bustling, shielding them from the chilling cold outside.
"Really, that’s great!" Joe said, enviously, as he ate some lamb.
Moira Young chuckled softly.
"But, Moira, can’t you really take me with you? That’s several countries you’re visiting." Joe looked dejected.
"My brother said just the two of us; he’s not even bringing an assistant."
"You two, can you manage? What if the fans recognize you?"
As they chatted, their chopsticks never stopped moving.
"I brought this up too. My brother said not to worry; no one will recognize us abroad."
Joe sulked: "I want to cry. Why is Professor Webb so nice to you? I want to have a brother too."
Moira Young raised her hand gesturing ’yeah’: "No problem, you can recognize Lee as your brother."
"Oh hehe, forget it, I’d rather be his brother." Joe rolled his eyes and ordered another plate of cuttlefish, and after eating for a while, they headed home.
Two days later, Moira Young carried her luggage as Joe followed behind, heading downstairs, worriedly nagging and reminding her to be careful.
"I packed all the clothes you need, and some were sent to the airport early. I also packed the medicine box for you, make sure to apply if you get hurt."
Moira Young waved to Aiden Webb, who was waiting downstairs, then turned around to comfort the still worried Joe, "Alright, housekeeper, I’ve got it, I’ll take good care of myself. If I find any delicious or fun stuff, I’ll post them for you."
After saying that, she tightly hugged Joe.
Joe now looked mournful: "Moira, you’re so bad, I want to go play too."
Pinching Joe’s cheek, Moira Young laughed: "Alright, next time I’ll take you, the two of us will go out together."
"Really?" Joe beamed with joy.
"Of course, have I ever lied to you?"
Aiden Webb walked over, carrying Moira Young’s luggage. Without minding Joe’s reluctance, he turned to put it in the trunk, closed the car door, and said to the two women, "It’s time to go."
In the sky, clouds gradually gathered.
