Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 411: Gloom
The two of them looked over together, and Joe rolled his eyes at Aiden Webb.
"I’m leaving now. I’ll contact you when I arrive."
As Moira Young spoke, she walked to the car, and Joe nodded, watching them leave.
The two arrived at the airport and waited in the VIP lounge.
"Would you like something to eat?" Aiden Webb asked.
Their flight was around one o’clock, just before noon.
Moira Young touched her stomach, nodded, and the two got up to go to the restaurant.
While eating, they noticed the airport lights came on, and the sky outside turned dark.
"Attention passengers, we are now broadcasting an emergency notification. Due to heavy snow, all flights are currently suspended. Please be patient and wait."
Moira Young looked up at the window.
"Bro, it’s snowing heavily. Are we unable to leave?"
Aiden Webb looked outside: "I’ll go check."
"I’ll go too."
"Let’s finish eating first."
They left a bit of food and went to the service desk after finishing eating.
"Hi, when will the flight to Rovalia take off?" Moira Young asked.
"Hello, please wait a moment while I check for you," the staff said as they looked down to check.
All around, more and more passengers who heard the news gathered around, and Aiden Webb put his arm around Moira Young’s shoulders.
"I’m sorry, the flights to Rovalia are canceled for now. There won’t be any flights these days due to a blizzard there."
Moira Young wrinkled her nose, smiled faintly, and said, "Thank you. Are there any flights to other countries later?"
The staff shook their head: "No, the snowstorm is intensifying here too. It doesn’t seem possible even by afternoon."
Aiden Webb’s expression was blank, and he held Moira Young tighter.
"Please, we need to get a refund for our tickets."
"Okay, sir, please present your tickets."
Moira Young took out their tickets, and after finishing the process, they turned to leave.
"Bro, it’s such a shame, we didn’t even get to leave," Moira Young said to Aiden Webb as they walked, a bit dejected.
Aiden Webb shook his head: "It’s okay, next time together."
"Ah, Joe will definitely gloat over this." Just as she was speaking helplessly, Moira Young bumped into someone.
"Be careful." Aiden Webb immediately lunged over, worried.
Unbeknownst to them, an improperly fastened suitcase from a nearby passenger fell and hit Aiden Webb’s arm.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" Aiden Webb partially raised himself, asking Moira Young, who was in his arms.
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry." The passenger who bumped into Moira Young apologized guiltily, while another who hadn’t watched their luggage quickly helped Aiden Webb up.
"Bro, are you hurt?" Moira Young stood up, looking over anxiously.
Aiden remained expressionless, enduring the pain in his arm without replying, then turned to the two next to him: "Be careful while walking."
"Okay, okay, are you hurt, do you need to go to the hospital?" The two looked at Aiden Webb with concern.
Amidst the clamor at the airport, as it was close to the end of the year and many were heading home, the bustling place became even more chaotic due to the snowstorm, with crowds arguing around the service desk.
Aiden Webb observed it wasn’t a good place to talk with the surrounding noise and the two people’s decent attitude, shook his head lightly and let them leave. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Moira Young kept an eye on Aiden Webb and noticed the cold sweat on his forehead, knowing he must have been hurt badly, so she sternly pulled him aside.
"Where are you hurt, Bro?"
Aiden’s chest let out a vibration as he chuckled. He hadn’t expected the suitcase to be so heavy, directly crashing onto his arm.
"My arm’s probably dislocated."
Moira Young anxiously glared: "Then why didn’t you say anything earlier, now those people are gone."
Aiden looked at Moira Young, who was on the verge of tears, and faintly smiled.
"Alright, let’s go to the hospital."
"Yes, yes, I’ll call 120."
Moira Young frantically pulled out her phone, but Aiden Webb stopped her.
"It’s snowing out, the driver probably hasn’t left. Call him over first."
"Okay, I’ll call him."
"Hmm, let’s wait a bit for the snow to ease, use some ice in the meantime."
Listening to Aiden Webb, Moira Young called the driver, then went to the service center to get some ice, waiting for help to arrive.
After nearly two hours, the snow stopped, and the driver, carrying their suitcases, took the three of them to the hospital.
At the hospital.
Aiden Webb sat on the sofa, his handsome face pale from the pain.
"Bear with it," said the nurse with a glance at Aiden Webb.
Aiden Webb quietly acknowledged, his expression unchanged.
With a snap, his bone was set back in place.
"All done." The nurse stood up and went to the sink to wash her hands. "You’ll need a cast, avoid getting it wet, and stay for observation."
"So, doctor, is there any dietary advice?"
The doctor looked at Moira Young’s anxious expression and chuckled: "No, just eat more things like ribs to recover."
"Okay, thank you." Moira Young expressed her gratitude.
Aiden Webb frowned as the doctor started putting on the cast: "Doc, I don’t need to stay in the hospital."
The nurse was busy applying medicine and hadn’t spoken when Moira Young interjected urgently.
"No, you have to stay, just in case anything happens." She paused, then retracted, "Ah, no, no, no, just to be safe. Bro, you have to listen to me on this."
Aiden Webb’s face darkened. For such a minor injury, he internally resisted the idea of hospitalization.
The doctor finished with Aiden Webb and chuckled: "Kid, just listen to your sister. Alright, it’s done."
Moira Young smiled and thanked her again, pulling the reluctant Aiden Webb out of the door.
They arrived at a private ward, and Moira Young had Aiden Webb lie on the hospital bed.
"Moira, I’m fine."
"No, the doctor said you need observation, so you must stay." Moira Young fixed the sheet and continued, "I’ll check the cafeteria for any rib soup, and if not, I’ll buy and make it for you tomorrow."
Aiden Webb sighed, helplessly nodding.
Watching Moira Young bustling about, he found it oddly comforting.
"Bro, snack on something first, I’ll go get you some food." Moira Young opened their luggage and took out some pre-prepared snacks, placing them in front of Aiden Webb.
Seeing Aiden Webb squint, Moira Young chuckled: "These were specially prepared by Joe. He told me to think of you while eating them."
Aiden Webb picked up a pack and started eating it.
Moira Young smiled and went out to the cafeteria.
"You said Aiden Webb got hurt, what happened?" The driver, upon returning to the company, accidentally revealed this to Laura Lowe over the phone, causing Laura to react sourly.
"I’m coming down right now, wait for me downstairs."
The driver hung up the phone with a sad expression, waiting for Laura, lamenting his own loose tongue.
Laura Lowe headed straight to Aiden Webb’s exclusive ward upon arriving at the hospital.
"Young master, how are you?" she said without a word, pushing open the door.
The two who were eating were startled.
"Why are you here?" Aiden Webb handed Moira Young a piece of rib, frowning. "Are things abroad all settled?"
Laura Lowe was momentarily stunned, observing the intimate manner between Moira Young and Aiden Webb, and her face darkened instantly.
