Chapter 37: Ch. 35 - Empress Lasyana

Sitting alone at the luxurious dining table in Imperial Palace was a beautiful 24-year-old woman with bright red eyes.

Her long blood-red hair was tied up in a bun, with a small gold dagger as its pin. Her bangs and side locks were left untied. The bangs were neatly cut to her eyebrows, and the side locks hung freely down to her chest.

The woman was dressed in a blood-red gown. The upper part had a V-shaped neckline, revealing part of her ample breasts. The lower part of the gown only reached her upper thighs, exposing her smooth legs and thighs. The sides and back of the gown were long enough to reach her heels.

Her name was Lasyana Noracia—a truly stunning woman.

She had a slender figure with a height of exactly 165 cm. Lasyana had fair, spotless skin, a semi-aquiline nose, thin sexy lips, arched eyebrows, and perfectly sculpted facial features. With such a revealing outfit, there was no better phrase to describe her than extraordinarily captivating.

However, despite her beauty and allure, Lasyana was still single. More than that, she had no experience in romantic interactions with men. She had never felt a man’s warmth. In fact, she had never even hugged a man.

It wasn’t because no man wanted her. Any man would have competed for the empress’s attention. Many were even willing to die just to feel her warmth and softness. Even being granted a glimpse of her bare body would be enough to make someone ready to die.

Lasyana remained single because she didn’t want any threats to her power.

Marrying someone would make that person the emperor, and Lasyana didn’t want such a risk. Moreover, she was somewhat traumatized. She had seen how the late emperor treated women and was afraid that any man she married would see her as nothing more than a sexual object.

Setting aside her single status, Lasyana enjoyed her breakfast in high spirits.

The nobles who had attempted to sink their claws into her empire had all been dealt with. Without exception, all the barbaric nobles from every city had been wiped out. Even the nobles in the capital were eradicated last night. Lasyana had not accepted Karflo’s offer in vain. The new members of Ultores had done their job spectacularly.

That wasn’t all. The mercenaries had also destroyed One Eye’s HQ. Libertania’s presence in Agarentha had been troubling—the city was divided between two different controls. However, Lasyana wasn’t too concerned. She already had a plan to put an end to Libertania’s rebellion once and for all.

But first, there was another problem that Lasyana needed to address.

That demon, Zagabob, had helped her seize the throne and eliminate all opposition. In return, Zagabob was allowed to roam freely in the empire. Lasyana even restricted Sterminatore’s movements as part of their agreement—a mutually beneficial deal at the time.

That agreement was now void. Zagabob had plans to take over her empire, breaking their deal. Therefore, before the demon could execute his plan, Lasyana had to act first. Kill before being killed—a perfect phrase.

Lasyana was confident she could defeat Zagabob in a one-on-one duel, especially since she had mastered the sacred weapon Zesteria. She couldn’t imagine losing to any demon other than a Primordial Demon. In fact, she was certain she could leave Lukhiel on the brink of death, just as King Arthur IV had done. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

However, Zagabob was not alone. Although Lasyana was confident that Primordial Demon Levia would not bother to intervene, Zagabob had many Ultimate Demons under his command. Meanwhile, she only had five subordinates capable of defeating an Ultimate Demon in one-on-one combat. Lasyana did not want to lose any of them.

Because of this, Lasyana eagerly awaited the arrival of the mercenaries she had hired. Their strength had been thoroughly proven. With their help, the risk of death for her five subordinates would be significantly reduced, allowing Lasyana to focus entirely on facing Zagabob.

It would have been better if Shin had agreed to help, but that boy would only accept if she offered her body to him for one night. Disgusting. Lasyana lost her appetite just thinking about the condition he had proposed. She felt like vomiting. Absolutely revolting. If he weren’t exceptionally strong, Lasyana would have already tried to cut off his head.

Indeed, Shin was not unattractive. In fact, he was a young man with above-average looks and a well-built body. Most women would have agreed to be his mistress without hesitation. However, Lasyana was not interested in the slightest. Seeing that ruthless killer filled her with disgust.

"Haaa..."

Lasyana got up from the dining table without finishing her meal. She could no longer continue eating. Her hands itched to destroy something.

Thinking about her conversation with Shin three days ago made Lasyana’s blood boil. That young man was anything but normal. He was insane. Although Lasyana was used to receiving lustful stares due to her revealing attire, it was the first time anyone had openly expressed a desire for sexual relations directly to her face.

Once she reached her room, Lasyana changed into her battle attire: a full suit of armor in red and black, but without a helmet. She retrieved the Lunar Scythe Zesteria from the box beneath her bed. Then, the empress headed straight for her late grandfather’s private training hall.

Lasyana possessed a king-type spirit, Greedy King Mammon. In its basic form, she could create up to ten monsters based on her imagination. Regardless of their strength or weakness, she could not summon more than ten. However, the fusion stage was different. In that mode, Lasyana could summon up to a hundred.

Unfortunately, Lasyana had not yet mastered the fusion mode. But even with just ten monsters, she was already dangerous. With nothing but her imagination, Lasyana could summon monsters tailored to any situation.

Of course, there were limits and conditions to using her spirit’s power. The stronger the monster Lasyana imagined, the more prana it consumed. Conversely, weaker monsters required less prana. To summon a legendary creature like a powerful dragon, the empress would have to sacrifice up to half of her total prana.

Ten one-eyed black giants manifested around Lasyana as soon as she activated Mammon’s power. Each stood over three meters tall. They all had sharp fangs and glowing red eyes. Each held a club in all six hands. Strong. Terrifying. Dangerous. These were the perfect words to describe the ten monsters.

Lasyana sacrificed a third of her total prana to summon all ten of them. So, their strength wasn’t just for show—they were formidable in terms of raw power as well.

"Advance, Magog!" Lasyana swung her elegant sacred scythe through the air. "Show me your loyalty!"

The Magog monsters let out a unified roar. Then, they charged forward with their clubs raised in perfect unison. Lasyana, standing in the center of the arena, bent her knees and narrowed her eyes.

In a single breath, the empress surged forward. Dark orange flames filled the air as the tip of her scythe swung through the space ahead.
