Yet the words he spoke were calm and composed, "Young shamans, today, I have taken you under my protection!

I will teach you the way of the Earth Boar and hope you can use it to fight your enemies and create peaceful villages!

He explained and elaborated to these young men and women.

It had been quite some time since Teigu sneaked into the tribe. He had used some underhanded means but managed to come in legitimately in the end.

After he said he followed the path of a shaman and warrior at the same time, they assigned him to the Great Shaman Wutu, just as he had intended.

"Rather than directly going to the boar spirit, let me first tell you about the creation of spirits.

Spirits are a confluence of two natural forces – first, it’s the natural energy of the dao. This energy of nature can be defined in several elements, but once defined, it loses its naturalness. Because of this, such nature is often found in places away from humans.

We call this energy ’Wild Natural Power’.

There is no way to create such energy, and once humans detect it, it’s already in its dissipation.

The second factor is a Wild Natural Soul.

This is a soul that hasn’t met civilisation, its soul a pure gathering of soul power.

It’s impossible for humans to form a natural soul after their death,.

Even beasts have this issue – only those Wild Beasts born in the wildernesses, away from deep human civilisation, can give birth to Wild Natural Souls.

The combination of both factors results in spirits being born in places far away from civilisation, which is a good and difficult matter.

Finding one means finding a pure Natural Spirit, untouched by any civilisation. Contracting such a spirit is extremely easy. At the same time, finding it in the first place is quite difficult.

These Natural Spirits are one of the three types of spirits we Shamans use –

There are two more, Acquired Spirits and Faith Spirits.

The former is something those flat-feeted people love to create. The path of Acquired Spirits is to transform a human soul into a spirit. Although we shamans can use them, we usually don’t. The witches of the east like them more.

Faith Spirits, on the other hand, are spirits nurtured by faith. They are born through worship and usually have the form of totems. Most tribes in our Warrior Tribes have several Faith Spirits protecting the whole tribe.

Even non-shamans can summon the power of these Faith Spirits, allowing them to gain the protection in the mountains and rivers.

The paths of these spirits are all unique and difficult to discern, but we have generally found a way to do so.

First, you have to identify the three categories of Natural Spirits – Beast Spirits, Plant Spirits and Stone Spirits.

Our Wild Boar Spirit Tribe is naturally a Beast Spirit Tribe. We specialise in Boar Spirits, such as my Earth Boar Spirit..."

’Didn’t he say Natural Spirits can’t be raised? Then... does it mean that although they can’t be raised, there are still ways to ensure getting spirits? If it’s not for that, how can they be called Wild Boar Spirit Tribe?’ Teigu thought to himself when he heard this.

He was suspicious of them.

Since he joined this tribe, he tried every way to get to know more.

At the same time, a new idea appeared in his mind – what if he, too, became a shaman?

The art that appeared inexplicably in his dream one day was focused on the mind.

But besides his mind, he still had the two realms of spiritual power and body.

The thought in his mind spread quickly and he became more and more sure of this idea.

Shamanistic abilities shall become his spiritual power!

As for the body – to be honest, while the dream ability was mostly based on his mind, his cultivation art also had a form of beast transformation. So for now, he didn’t want to touch that part, rather focusing on the simple things.

But the truth is that they are too far away, and at the current stage, shamanism for you can be described in three parts:

Rituals, Sacrifices and Spells.

When you enter the path of a shaman, you enter it by setting up your own ritual. This ritual is supposed to endow you with the power of spirits and earn you your first blessing.

The spirits bless us in various ways, and at each stage, we gain new blessings.

There are blessings ranging from fire elemental blessing, to blessings that improve your vitality and even those that allow you to talk with beasts.

To gain these blessings, enter the Spirit Tent, communicate with the spirits and follow their command to create the designated ritual.

Once you gain a spirits blessing, you can sacrifice to it and ask for its aid. Besides them, you can also sacrifice to the spirits you have a connection to – such as the Wild Boar Spirit of our tribe, or if you enter my lineage, you will also be able to sacrifice to my Earth Boar Spirit.

There are also some spirits that allow every sacrifice. They are usually costlier or trickier, but among them there are some such as thunder spirits and rain spirits that are very kind, requiring low sacrifices but also endowing little power into you.

Finally, there are spells – we have many spells which you learn based on the blessings you have. Usually, the first blessing is always an elemental blessing. Upon receiving it, you can learn and cast elemental spells. Later, with more blessings, you can cast a large variety of spells.
