Taming SSR And UR RANK Superwomen-Chapter 53 — The Child Who Will Destroy Ark
Silence fell over the cavern like a slab—heavy and dense. Not even the distant echo of the Abyss seemed to dare to break it.
Thomas remained standing with the sapphire-blue panel open in front of him. The system’s light illuminated his face from below, outlining his furrowed brows and the slight tension in his jaw.
His eyes were still fixed on the text.
[Create a Symbiotic Bond with Her Through Sex]
But his thoughts were no longer on the panel. Slowly he lifted his gaze... and fixed it on his mother.
Angel stood a few steps ahead, with that same relaxed posture as always. As if she had just commented on the weather instead of suggesting that her own son might destroy humanity’s last bastion.
In front of her, the four heroines were also silent. Selene had lowered her head slightly. Evelyne watched Thomas’s reaction attentively. Freja crossed her arms, thoughtful.
Seraphine, behind her mask, had her eyes wide with a tension she didn’t even try to hide. No one seemed to know exactly what to say.
Thomas was the first to move.
His footsteps echoed softly against the cavern rock as he approached Angel.
He stopped in front of her. Then, with a subtle gesture, he took her arm. It wasn’t rough—just a light pressure, enough to signal for her to turn.
Angel cooperated naturally, turning her body until she faced him. Thomas looked straight into her eyes.
"What are you talking about?"
The question came out low but firm.
Angel didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she raised a hand and pointed toward a crack in the cavern wall.
It was narrow and dark, barely distinguishable among the irregular rock.
"In there," she said calmly. "You’ll find one of the first rituals we discovered in the Abyss."
Thomas frowned even more. Angel continued:
"At first we didn’t give it much importance. They were just symbols, objects... meaningless things. Scribbles made by creatures that barely seemed intelligent."
Her gaze returned to the crack as she went on:
"But over time they began to evolve, and now... that first ritual makes far more sense than we originally thought."
Then she started walking toward the opening.
"I’ll answer all your questions inside."
The four heroines exchanged quick glances. Ashley was the first to move after Angel. Thomas finally closed the system panel and followed.
The crack was far deeper than it appeared from the outside.
The group advanced in silence through an uneven passage of damp rock until the space opened into a small natural chamber.
The faint blue glow of the Abyss barely revealed what lay inside. There were objects: small piles of bones, stones stacked into strange shapes, remains of claws, fangs, and fragments of shells.
Some surfaces were covered in crooked lines, clumsily carved. Ancient scribbles. Nothing looked organized or ceremonial; rather... crude and primitive.
As if creatures with no real knowledge had tried to imitate something they didn’t understand.
Angel walked to the center of the chamber.
"This is what we found a long time ago."
The heroines observed in silence.
Then they saw it on the ground, carved directly into the rock: an enormous drawing that occupied almost the entire center of the chamber.
It was an elongated vertical shape, like a massive tube or cylinder. Inside that shape were lines and symbols written in a language none of them could recognize.
At the top of the drawing was a figure: a tall demon with a crown. Beneath him were three dragons stretched along the length of the carving, as if guarding something.
And further down...
A human baby... held in the hands of a demon. At the bottom of the engraving were crowds—figures kneeling as if worshipping it.
The entire group stared at the drawing.
Silence settled again.
Thomas was the one who spoke first.
"Do you know what it means?"
Angel crossed her arms.
"Not clearly." Her eyes traced the drawing carefully. "For now... we only have theories."
She pointed to the elongated shape—the cylinder surrounding the figures.
"We believe this represents the Abyss."
Then she pointed to the baby.
"And that... is probably a human. One who will be chosen by the demons."
Ashley tensed slightly.
"Chosen... for what?"
Angel slowly shook her head.
"That’s what we’re still trying to decipher." She pointed to the bottom of the carving. "We don’t know who those kneeling crowds are. We also don’t know what the three dragons represent."
Finally, she lifted her gaze to the crowned demon.
"And even less who that is. We’re still studying the pattern of the drawings... and deciphering the letters." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Thomas kept staring at the baby carved into the rock. His voice was more serious when he spoke.
"So...," he turned toward Angel, "why are you so sure I have something to do with the demons?"
Angel didn’t take her eyes off the drawing.
"Because the demons need a baby."
Thomas froze.
Angel continued calmly.
"Some heroines have disappeared over the past few months."
The group reacted with silent surprise. Angel went on while looking at the baby figure:
"It might be related. Maybe that’s why they’re so desperate to invade Ark. The evidence shows they need something... urgently. We’re no longer dealing with monsters acting on instinct. This is no longer instinct. This is intelligence and planning."
Seraphine was the first of the heroines to speak. Her voice came out low from behind her mask.
"How much time do we have... before Ark is in danger?"
Angel sighed lightly.
"That depends on only one thing." She turned toward her. "How long humanity can keep holding back the Abyss."
She glanced briefly at Thomas and continued:
"That’s why they’re calling the ten strongest heroines."
Thomas clenched his jaw slightly.
"Then... why did you say we could destroy Ark?"
Angel looked at him, then smiled.
That calm, confident, serene, maternal smile.
"Because most likely... I’m the only person who knows there is someone destined to destroy Ark."
Thomas felt a tension run through his chest.
Angel tilted her head slightly and softened her tone as she said:
"And when that news comes to light... they’ll look for anyone who breaks the normal standards."
Her pink eyes glimmered faintly.
"Man or woman. And what do you know? You’re the only man who possesses a power capable of dominating heroines. That makes you an anomaly within Ark."
A heavy silence fell over the chamber.
Angel continued with absolute calm as she looked at the drawing of the baby again.
"The missing piece of the puzzle for me and the rest of my team."
Thomas stared at her.
"So what? You want to stop it?"
Angel nodded.
"That’s the objective." Then her expression softened. "But there’s something more important."
"What?"
Angel looked straight into his eyes.
"Your decision."
Thomas remained silent.
Angel stepped closer. Her smile grew warmer.
"I will keep the secret, because you are my beloved son."
Ashley lifted her gaze, surprised. Angel continued without her voice trembling:
"The decision to destroy Ark or not... doesn’t depend on some stupid drawing on a wall."
Thomas felt the weight of those words.
Angel placed a hand on his shoulder.
"When the day comes... I’ll be on your side." Then she added with absolute serenity, "As your mother, I would never hand over my own son."
Silence wrapped around the cave once more.
Angel removed her hand and continued speaking:
"My only goal is to find the cure for my curse. So don’t get the wrong idea. The final decision..."
Her pink eyes shimmered softly.
She paused for a moment as she stared at him, her expression blending danger and curiosity.
"Will depend entirely on you, Thomas."
