Taming The Hidden Bigshot By Kissing Him-Chapter 171 - 171 I Want You I Really Do I Must Have
Chapter 171: Chapter 171 I Want You, I Really Do, I Must Have Chapter 171 -171 I Want You, I Really Do, I Must Have After dinner.
Huo Sijiao had arranged to go to a bar with friends and ran off right after eating. Aunt Qian and Du Juan were cleaning up the table, and Du Juan instructed, “Qiao Xi, go take the fruit from the kitchen to their study. Xingzhou’s dad has been having stomach issues recently, and he always needs some fruit after meals.”
As one ages, one must admit defeat.
“Alright.”
Qiao Xi was very well-behaved in front of her elders, carefully carrying the fruit upstairs.
She walked through the corridor to the door of the study; the door was not completely closed, revealing a slight gap. Just as she was about to knock, she heard Huo Jiancheng inside saying,
“She’s a disciple of the National Doctor, and you’re just grateful to her, that’s not romantic affection. Marrying Xu Xingluo is the same; the Xu Family can help you in business and even expand your influence in the Imperial Capital. Qiao Xi can’t help you with this, she might even cause you a lot of trouble…”
“Xu Xingluo has severe depression; if she succeeds in killing herself for you, Xu Guangyao and Liu Huimin will definitely make you pay dearly.”
“Xingzhou, you have to believe me! Dad is doing everything for your own good; I would never harm you!”
The words of Huo Jiancheng made sense.
Qiao Xi felt as if there was a hole in her heart, letting in a cold wind that froze her flesh and blood.
Her eyes flickered, forcing back the moisture in them. Carrying the plate of fruit, she quickly headed back.
So, her father-in-law had not given up on persuading them to divorce.
In Huo Jiancheng’s eyes, she was a trouble for Huo Xingzhou.

Since they had met, Mr. Huo had always been solving troubles around her. He resolved issues with the Su Family that helped her grandmother, dealt with the drama that arose at the alumni meeting, resolved the rumors at the hospital, and did so much for her.
She felt utterly useless, unable to help him in any way.
Qiao Xi despondently carried the tray downstairs.
Du Juan, puzzled, asked, “Why didn’t you take it in?”
Qiao Xi quickly collected her emotions and replied, “It seemed like they were discussing business; I didn’t want to interrupt them.”
“Then just leave it in the living room for now. Who knows what serious business father and son can discuss?” Du Juan commented with a bit of snark. “Your father-in-law has indeed been going out a lot lately, all secretive. If I didn’t know he didn’t have the guts to cheat, I’d suspect he’s keeping a mistress.”
Qiao Xi forced a smile.
“Alright, you look pale. Go take a shower and rest.”
“Yes, Mother-in-law.”
If it were any other time, Qiao Xi wouldn’t just leave and let Du Juan be alone in the living room. But she was too tired from the day and had too much on her mind, so she left.
She aimlessly walked upstairs to the master bedroom and closed the door behind her.
Qiao Xi sat on the edge of the bed, feeling as though all her bones were loose. She wondered whether the discussion in the study had ended, and whether Mr. Huo would waver in his commitment to stay with her.
That was his biological father, after all. He must carry significant weight.
Qiao Xi reached out to open the drawer by her bedside, inside which lay the Marriage Agreement they had signed at the beginning. The agreement stipulated a maximum duration of three months, with the marriage terminable at any time should Party A’s legs fully heal, leading to their divorce.
Their relationship had always been unequal.
Initially, the marriage was a ruse to replace a bride, yet outsiders felt she had snagged a bargain.
All her efforts were met with suspicion of Huo Xingzhou’s involvement. She never denied his kindness, letting the name “Huo Xingzhou” brand itself onto her.
She took a deep breath.
Three months had passed, and Mr. Huo’s legs were fully healed. By all rights, the agreement was now in effect, and they could divorce at any time.
Yet Mr. Huo and she had tacitly never mentioned the agreement.
Qiao Xi didn’t know if he was too busy with work to remember, and she had never reminded him.
She couldn’t bear it.
She couldn’t let go.
She wasn’t willing to give up.
Qiao Xi put the agreement back in the drawer.
The door made a noise as a tall man walked in. His voice was slightly hoarse, “Why are the lights off?”
The room was lit only by the light seeping in from the street lamps and the moon outside, dim yet clear enough to make out shapes.
“I’m a bit tired.”
Qiao Xi adjusted her mood and asked, “Have you finished talking with your father?”
“Yes.”
Huo Xingzhou turned on the crystal lamp, his cool gaze landing on Qiao Xi as he asked, “Haven’t you taken a shower yet?”
Qiao Xi nodded.
“Shall we together?” he suggested casually, quite frankly.
The turmoil in Qiao Xi’s heart was stirred up into a mess. Her almond-shaped eyes looked at him, “I’m a bit tired.”
“So I’ll help you.”
He acted unlike before, disregarding her subtly voiced refusal, and forcefully carried her into the bathroom. The showerhead was turned on, and warm water poured down, drenching them both.
Qiao Xi’s clothes clung to her body, revealing a vague view underneath.
“Mr. Huo, I don’t want to tonight…” She placed her hands on his chest, pushing him away.
Her eyes also conveyed refusal.
“But I want to, very much so. I must.” He restrained her hands, pinning them above her head.
The man’s wet kiss landed on her neck, “Qiao Xi, what are you being stubborn about?”
“I’m not being stubborn.” She said, her tone unnatural.
“Liar.”
He watched her dispassionately while his other hand unzipped her dress, pulling it down in one swift motion. Qiao Xi let out a shocked cry, but he captured her lips, punishingly sucking all the oxygen from her mouth.
He kissed her until she nearly suffocated before slowly pulling away.
Water droplets fell from his tousled hair, his wet lashes making his gaze look even more dark and dangerous: “If you don’t speak, you’ll be bullied to death by me.”
Qiao Xi bit her lip, stubborn as ever.
Huo Xingzhou slowly lifted his eyelids and said, “My father is old and has always been timid and fearful of taking responsibility; he’s prone to worrying too much. Don’t take his words to heart, and I certainly won’t either.”
“Mr. Huo, you…”
Qiao Xi looked up at him, taken aback.
Did he know what she was being stubborn about?
He slowly said, “Mother mentioned that you brought up fruit platters, and you seemed off.”
The man was devastatingly handsome, the red mole on his neck catching the eye, his indifferent nature yet perceptive of people’s hearts.
Qiao Xi looked at him, her eyes reddening with grievance.
“I apologize on his behalf; he was confused when he said those things. Xu Xingluo was someone he watched grow up, so he doesn’t distinguish close from distant properly. Clearly, a daughter-in-law should be closer, yet he insists on speaking for an outsider.”
His finger grazed her nose tip.
The mist in Qiao Xi’s almond-shaped eyes condensed into tears, rolling down.
“Mr. Huo.” She cried out.
He was too good.
So good that she never wanted to let go in her lifetime.
So good that she couldn’t bear for him to be hurt, always hoping he would get the best things in the world.
He bent down, tenderly kissing her eyelashes, drawing Qiao Xi into the depths of desire, stirring her up incompletely. Caught up in her feelings, she wrapped her arms around his lean waist, her eyes rippling like spring water, hungrily returning his kiss.
But the man abruptly pulled away, his expression growing indifferent, his passion receding.
Qiao Xi tried to kiss him closer, but Huo Xingzhou stopped her.
Qiao Xi’s voice was lingering and soft, her eyes wide and tumultuous with passion as she looked at him, both pitiful and seductive.
Huo Xingzhou said indifferently, “No rush, I still have an account to settle with you.”
