Taming the Hybrid Mate: Desired by Five Alphas-Chapter 230: We need to solve that problem
Andria’s POV
"No one is missing," I swallowed as I remembered the taboo I had imagined last night as I touched myself.
But was it a taboo? They were my mates after all.
"Good," he replied, and then took his seat at the front row, and the driver commenced the journey back.
The rest of the journey back was silent. Becca’s face void, Allison lost in thoughts, Liara and her minions snickering and taking pictures.
"We would soon be leaving Ashwood for our respective homes for the holiday. Some of us will be returning to beautiful homes and places, while some will return to their muddy house. Ashwood was just a place of escape from reality; they would soon return to their sad reality," Liara said aloud.
"Meanwhile, I’ll be throwing a little party in my small place at the palace. I’ll be sending my invite to a few students. It will be so much fun," Liara announced.
And immediately, noise erupted in the bus. This was precisely the kind of attention she always craved.
Meanwhile, most of what she just said was true, I couldn’t help thinking of where I would be spending this holiday.
"She is full of nonsense. I wonder how we used to be friends before," Becca lamented.
"I think about that most of the time, and it feels very unbelievable," I replied.
"Let’s say we made the same mistakes, because I wonder how I used to be friends with Alexa and Tricia. They are so mischievous and troublesome, they can’t stay an hour without trying to pick on others," Allison added.
"Well, let’s say it’s their insecurities biting at them, so they have to pick on others to feel better," I said.
Soon we arrivedat Ashwood, and I breathed a sigh of relief.
"Finally, I don’t get to breathe the same air as them," Becca muttered.
"We should be happy about what we got ourselves and stop thinking about joy killers," Allison consoled.
"I hear you," I replied. "Meanwhile, Becca, we have a lot to discuss about you and Arlo. We have to resolve the tension and toxic air between the two of you.
"Aria, it’s nothing, I promise, we would sort it out," Becca muttered nonchalantly.
"It doesn’t seem like anything. We want to avoid what happened today in the future, so you two have to sort your differences as soon as possible, since you two were friends before you became mates," I argued.
"Sure," Becca said dismissively.
"I wouldn’t stop until I get you both to reconcile," I continued.
"That won’t be necessary, I already said sure," Becca maintained.
We took our items and walked back to our apartment. Allison came to our apartment.
"You wouldn’t be going back to your apartment to unpack?" I asked, a little bit surprised.
"No, it’s much more fun unpacking with friends. Maybe when we are done with the fittings and unpacking, I can get my items back to my apartment," Allison replied calmly.
"Ok, if you say so," I replied.
"Home at last," Becca announced as soon as we got to the door.
She pulled out the keys and opened the door.
We rushed inside and plopped onto the sofa.
After a few seconds, I walked to the refrigerator to take a bottle of water.
"Get me some too," Becca called out.
"Me too," Allison added.
"What happened to your legs? I’m very sure they aren’t fractured," I teased.
"Ari, just do us this little favor, please," they chorused in unison.
"I’m doing this just because I’m already up," I replied.
I got back to them with their bottles of water. We drank, and after we had relaxed, life seemed to return to Becca’s gloomy face.
"Ok, now, let’s unpack now, shall we?" Becca demanded.
"Of course. This is the best part," Allison concurred.
We pulled out our shopping bags, trying on our canvas sneakers, hair accessories, jewellery, handbags, pants, shirts, tops, skirts, heels, etc.
I got two pairs of Snickers and two pairs of canvas. I got three heels and two flats, I got three pants, four shirts, ten tops, three skirts, two dinner gowns, two casual gowns, three bags, and four purses, thanks to Allison.
I also tried on my jewellery and hair accessories, and they were all so beautiful. The best part was that most of them were on a discount price, but you couldn’t tell because they looked just as elegant as a high-fashion designer dress.
"You have good eyes," Becca praised.
"And good taste, I must admit," Allison added.
"And yet you two stick to high fashion," I teased.
"Yes, because we want to make a statement," they chorused, flipping their hair.
"It doesn’t make any difference, because I already made my statement. Can’t you see that I afforded class with less?" I replied, snapping my fingers at them. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"We heard you miss economist," Allison said.
"But truthfully, your items are beautiful, and no one can tell you got them for less," Allison said.
"I don’t care if they find out, provided I look pretty in my dress, then I’m good to go," I replied.
"The more reason I love you," Allison remarked.
"Whatever," I replied.
"I’ll be leaving now," Allison announced, gathering her items.
"Why, stay back, let’s watch a movie and eat snacks," Becca protested.
Allison shook her head as if she were considering it for a while, and then sat back.
"I thought you were going to turn me down. I would have yelled at you right now," Becca said.
"I can’t turn you down. But if it were Aria, I would turn her down, because she did a lot of that today," she added, eyeing me playfully.
I rolled my eyes back at her, and we burst out laughing.
Becca prepared popcorn, and we played games while she did so. When she was then, we settled in for a movie.
Allison chose comedy, I agreed with her. We already had so much every other genre today, we deserve to laugh a little.
"So, Becca, tell us what is going on between you and Arlo?" I asked, breaking the silence.
