"I took her away after she got a divorce from Aiden Zora. I married her," Anthony said in a low voice yet Eleanor heard it.

That’s all, her heart stopped at his words. So this was what happened. She never left but was taken away by him.

She was never blessed with her mother’s love because of him!?

A lone tear slid down her eye. She was bullied for not having a mother. Eleanor cried for days and nights to have her mother but she never got one. She hated her mother for not being with her. Yet she yearned and craved for her mother’s love.

Despite all her desperate thinking she never got it. She blamed her for not being with her. Yet she lived a happy life with another man. She cheated on her father and left with him giving her father a divorce.

Can there be a cruel person than her?

Maybe there isn’t.

"Since she is happy with you, there is no need for us to listen about her happy life," she heard Martin saying.

Indeed, he was right. Since she was happy with there was no need for them to listen or know about her.

"She isn’t happy. Or she was never happy," Anthony said hurriedly.

"What does it mean?" Aiden asked all of a sudden.

"Remember you attended the banquet of Emerson’s with your wife at their fifty-fifth anniversary," Anthony said. Zora nodded.

"At that time, her sister spiked her drink and sent her to my room. I didn’t know she was married to you. All I know was she was a gift from one of my partners to me. So, I had my way with her. She was the most beautiful woman I have met in my life. The next day when I woke, I saw her crying. She cursed herself for being drunk and cheating on her husband. I know my partners won’t send a married woman to me. Then I realized someone plotted against her. When she went to shower, I left. I felt guilty. I searched for the person who dared to do this thing to me. Found it was her sister. I made her suffer the same thing with ten times more intensity. She disappeared from the country feeling ashamed after that.

"While your wife, I didn’t dare to bother her or know about her. But still, I tried to know about her. I got to know she was pregnant with your child. I thought, she moved on and was living happily with you. But after three years, I heard she divorced you and left the country. I searched for her for many days. Finally found her in Arrowglen.

"I saw her working in an orphanage to teach music to children at weekends. And other days she worked hard to make living. Unable to see her situation, I took her with me.

"She didn’t let me touch her for many days. She didn’t even accept my presence. Every day I see her sad and disturbed sitting near the window. I tried many ways to make her accept me.

"It took me nearly two years, to make her accept me. Even though she accepted me, she was sad about something. As days passed, she became pregnant. I took utmost care during that time. She used to say that the presence of this child made her sadness go away at least by little. Then I understood she missed her children more than anything.

"I realized the love of a woman always belonged to her children more than anything in this world. I was not sad at that time, because I know from that second her love would belong to me and our child.

"I and her waited for the child to come out. When her water broke I drove the car to the hospital. But on our way, we were attacked which made her to have a miscarriage. It made her have severe blood loss. And suffer from some other painful things. She suffered a heavy blow to her womb that made her have a miscarriage. By the time, we took her to the hospital it was too late.

"The baby was gone. Her life was in danger. I brought all the best doctors to treat her. They treated her and made her well. Yet her health continued to deteriorate. She blamed herself for the baby’s loss. Then she started blaming herself for being in the underworld. I left it for her and our unborn baby," a tear slid from his eyes as he thought about his past. He was the reason for his wife’s suffering.

"As days passed all she thought was about Martin and Eleanor. She stopped caring about me. I decided to end the Zora. Only then she would show her affection to me. I tried to ruin Zora. I made it go to the edges of bankruptcy. I indeed made plans to kill Martin, but that accident has no relation to me.

"But my wife thought I caused the accident. No matter how I convinced she didn’t believe me. Because someone made sure the evidence pointed to me. She told Eleanor was my daughter and asked me to show some mercy on you people.

"Then I realized, she divorced Aiden feeling she cheated on him. She realized Eleanor wasn’t Aiden’s daughter as she grew up and that intensified her guilt. As days passed it was like a wet cloth tied around her neck making her unable to live freely or die. She decided to cut the rope. And she divorced.

"She loved you all her life. I saw her cry every single day for you both. She used to come with to sneak a glance at you both.

"When Jacob cheated on her, she cried her heart out grieving that she wasn’t with her daughter to give emotional support to her.

"Don’t blame her. Blame me. It was me who caused every misery that happened to your family directly or indirectly.

"And many others took my anger as their advantage to stomp your family down," Anthony said as he ended the past.

"Then who is the one who tried to kill me?" Martin asked with a serious expression.
