The Absolute beast Tamer-Chapter 112: REPORTING THE FIASCO (1)
His eyes opened up to greet the all-familiar metallic ceiling. Even though he was physically unharmed, right now he felt as if he had been run over by a thousand-ton beast.
"Wakey wakey, you're finally up."
Moving his head to the left to see the man wearing a white coat hovering above him At an extremely close distance.
Alan: "It feels like a déjà vu."
Dr. Han: "It brings back a lot of good memories."
Alan: "Not for me."
Dr. Han: "How are you feeling right now?"
Alan: "Lethargic, tired, I just want to go back to sleep. What happened to me?"
Dr. Han: "What is the last thing you remember?"
Alan: "Getting into the pod to start my AIT session, then a great deal of pain after that, nothing."
Dr. Han: "Well, you remember, you just went too hard in your anti-interrogation training. Why don't you get some rest, and I will wake you up when the treatment is ready?"
Alan: "Thanks, Dr. Han."
Watching the teenager close his eyes as he immediately drifted back to sleep, the previously silly look on the doctor's face vanished as a blue light reflected into his irises, like a fire burning for eternity, ready to consume and burn everything in existence.
Dr. Han: "Good night, Alan. I hope you have a nice dream as a change for once."
...…
Inside the holographic communication center, Lieutenant Rock, together with a chained, unconscious Malcolm and the injured Gavin.
The three of them were waiting for the call to connect.
Gavin's face was a great mirror for the nervousness that he was feeling right now as he felt a huge pit in his stomach when he tried to imagine the reaction of his lordship to the fiasco that happened earlier, all because of that arrogant megalomaniac Malcolm, who always saw himself as the righteous savior and the guardian of the organization, believing that everything he made, from a strategic decision to a call that may affect lives, was always the right choice; after all, how can a Messiah make a mistake, or so he saw himself as such?
This time the lieutenant wanted to put everything on the board, so he explicitly made the choice to try and connect with every single one of the higher-ups. If he was lucky, one or two of them would join to decide what to make of the incident.
Lieutenant Rock: "Lieutenant Rock reporting to the Lordships."
"What is going on? Why is there a chained man unconscious on the ground?"
"It seems that something interesting happened; finally I can get rid of some of this boredom that's killing me."
"What happened to the agent I sent, lieutenant?"
"You sent this personally. Now this is news for me."
"Talk, lieutenant. What is going on?"
Lieutenant Rock: "Your lordships, this is what happened on my watch, ....."
Lieutenant Rock started recounting the events: how an advisor who was, in fact, a special intelligence officer tried to conduct a spiritual interrogation on one of the seeds using forbidden procedures on practically half a civilian who had not joined the organization yet, almost jeopardizing the seed's life in the process.
He also told him about the reaction Malcolm had after his interrogation failed to hold on, how a special intelligence officer tried to kill a teenager who is enrolled in the seed program.

"Did you really send this man? What kind of s*** show are you trying to run here?"
The holographic images started talking to each other as the lordships were infuriated by the rash decision of their colleague.
"My order was be explicit and clear. You conduct the interrogation without endangering the life of the seed. It is a priority that you do not affect the seed's potential and put his life in danger. Which you clearly can see my agent did not follow, but we will all hear from his mouth directly?"
"Yes, wake him up, lieutenant. He have some explaining to do."
The lieutenant looked down at the unconscious Malcolm, who was practically drooling all over the floor by now.
Then he asked Gavin to push a serum right into the neck of the sleeping Malcolm to wake him up; however, Gavin did not register the lieutenant's request as he was petrified to be in the presence of so many higher beings all at once.
Lieutenant Rock: "What are you doing, Gavin? Wake him up now!!"
Gavin: "Y…yeah…. I mean, yes, lieutenant."
As the serum started to take effect immediately after the injection, the closed eye on Malcolm's face started to flutter as he was waking up.
Malcolm: "Ahhh, where am I? What the hell is this!!"
With an ice-cold tone, Lieutenant Rock told the clueless Malcolm about a slight glimmer of the huge hole that he had dug for himself.
Lieutenant Rock: "You are now in the presence of the Lordships; stand straight, soldier; they have many questions for you."
Malcolm, who was still out of it, took a look around him, but when he saw the holographic projections, his expression changed as he immediately stood up, saluting the Lordships.
"Enough with that, Tell us about the result of your interrogation and why the hell did you break my orders and put a life of such an important seed at risk? Talk right now."
Separated by vast distances with only a holographic projection in front of him, yet, it was enough to scare the hell out of Malcolm, who was still foggy as he tried to digest his lordship's questions.
Malcolm: "NO NO NO NO NO, IS HE STILL ALIVE, NO."
the memories returned to him about the previous events hitting him so hard as he remembered the monstrosity that he witnessed.
His face went pale as he turned around to exit the room.
Lieutenant Rock: "Where the hell do you think you're going!!?"
Malcolm: "GET OUT OF MY WAY, THAT ABOMINATION HAS TO DIE; OTHERWISE HE WILL KILL ME."
This time it did not play like before, as Malcolm was injured and in a special chain that sealed his inner pathway, weakening him a lot.
The lieutenant shoved the crazy-talking Malcolm back to the ground as he said.
Lieutenant Rock: "There's no way I would allow you to kill him, not on my watch."
The Lordships watched all this theatrics happen right in front of them, especially the board one, who was very excited to watch the unexpected happen.
"This is much better than where I'm stationed. Now either you don't have an eye for people, my friend, or you knowingly sent a whack job to do the work."
"Special intelligence officer Malcolm, this is my order: talk about the previous event in detail. Tell me everything that happened."
Malcolm, who heard the Lord, got up from the ground as he sat on his knees with tears in his eyes, which shocked everyone.
An intelligence officer with a special designation is actually crying right in front of his superiors. If this was not a breaking point, then what is?.
Malcolm: "Your lordship, we have to kill that kid. He…he…he is dangerous!!"
"Why are you saying he's dangerous? What happened during the interrogation?
Malcolm: "I performed the spiritual link with him and asked my assistant to administer the RTX 981, then I asked him multiple questions; however, he did not answer them all."
"Tell us every question you asked and the answer if he answered it."
Malcolm: "I asked him a few questions that are routine. Then I moved to inquire about the most vital question: Why did you join the organization, and who is supporting you? Who do you work for?"
"What is his answer? Did he refuse to answer?"
Malcolm: "He…he…answered. He said that he was recruited by someone and his intention is to acquire strength and see the true word…. And he… He said that he does not work for anyone or have the support of any organization or cult or anyone else.
"You do know what this means, right!! That means the kid is clean. You had a spiritual link with him, so you should know that he is not a spy, so why the hell would you want to harm his life now that we know that he is not a spy? His value to us has just gone through the roof. He is a one-in-a-century talent, and you want to destroy him. WHY?"
Malcolm: "No, no, your lordship, I didn't want to kill him at first, but when I asked him about his past, that's when he refused to answer, so I had to be sure… I had to know… I pushed him further so I could get an answer, but he refused then…."
Malcolm went silent all of a sudden, leaving everyone hanging on a cliff as they wanted to know what happened next, but.
Malcolm's eyes became vacant as something inside him clicked like a broken glass as if he had crossed The point of no return.
Malcolm: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh."
Clutching his head with both of his hands, he started screaming with the last bit of reason inside him; he remembered the saying.
WHEN YOU STARE INTO THE ABYSS, THE ABYSS WILL STARE BACK.
