The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 52: Don’t accuse my husband
"Your Majesty, there’s no evidence which states that it was Radulf. He was by Zenna’s side all the time. As for the threats, he claims to give it because he was upset and angry seeing his wife in such a terrible state. It’s not easy to break the security of the palace. Maybe someone from the palace did it," Leon told his father.
"Who could do it from the palace? No one will ever dare to do it," Phillipe said with an infuriated tone. "It is none other than Radulf. He is trying to come after me. Arrest him," he ordered.
Alfred stepped up and bowed to Phillipe before speaking, "It won’t be wise to arrest Radulf without any evidence. Mostly the packs now see him in a high regard. I urge you not to make such an arrest, Your Majesty."
Phillipe clenched his hands tightly and dismissed them as he wished to be alone. Both Leon and Alfred left the King’s chamber quietly.
"Alfred, I thought you were capable enough to catch the culprit soon," Leon said.
"Your Highness, this case is sensitive. The bodies were found outside the palace, which makes it difficult to find out who the person behind such a heinous crime," Alfred explained.
"Hmm. Maybe you should again investigate Radulf. If you can’t, allow me to," Leon asserted.
"If His Highness wishes to do that, I am willing to provide him this task," Alfred stated.
"Then, I will go to Radulf’s place and find out where he was the night. Father is anxious and I can’t see him in such a state," Leon said, worrying for Phillipe.
"I’ll arrange the carriage for you, Your Highness," Alfred said and walked away.
"Radulf isn’t letting me see Zenna. I wonder if she told him how I treated her in the past. Well, through this matter I can see Zenna. Father was quite brutal this time," Leon murmured and went straight to the carriage.

"Go out with Nina," Radulf told Savio while reading the morning news from the newspaper. The biggest headline was about the failure to find the person, who dared hanging three heads in the balcony of the King’s chamber. A smile formed on his lips as he could already imagine the look on Phillipe’s face.
"Why do you want me take Nina out? She’s your responsibility, Alpha, not mine," Savio refused to take her out. His tone was rather soft while complaining to Radulf.
"That’s an order, Savio. I’m your Alpha, so you can’t refuse my command," Radulf stated, placing the newspaper on the table before. Lifting the ornated glass from the table, he brought it close to his mouth and sipped the wine slowly.
"Alright. I will take Nina out," Savio answered. "Drinking wine in the morning isn’t good," he added.
"Really?"
"Yes."
Radulf nodded and smiled before gulping the remaining content from the glass. Since the last night, his body was reacting strangely to Zenna’s pheromones. So, he wanted to prevent himself from driving crazy. Wine was the only way to do it.
They both heard a gentle knock on the door before it opened.
"My Lord, the Crown Prince is here," informed a servant on the door.
"Tell him I’ll be in the living room shortly," Radulf said. The servant bowed and left the room.
"Prince Leon is here to see the Luna again, isn’t he?" Savio inquired.
"And I won’t let him see her," Radulf said, sitting up from his place. What Zenna told him last night had left him bothered. He was making a plan to break Leon’s hand which he raised on Zenna. ’I wish I could kill him too and gift his body to Phillipe. But I need to wait for the right time,’ he told himself as he made his way out.
"Savio, before going out make sure Zenna doesn’t come. I am sure she must have been informed about it," Radulf instructed.
"Yes, Alpha." Savio changed his path while Radulf continued walking toward the living room.
Upon reaching, Radulf greeted Leon, who was settled gracefully on the sofa.
"You didn’t inform my bodyguard that Zenna is awake. What are you trying to pull, Radulf?" Leon asked.
"I didn’t wish His Highness to disturb himself at night," Radulf replied. "What troubles me is why the prince wishes to see somebody’s wife. I think that’s very inappropriate," he asserted.
"Zenna is the Alpha King’s daughter too and is related to me," Leon said.
"The punishment she received doesn’t make it look like the Alpha King consider her as his daughter. If you are such a caring brother, why did you not save Zenna when she was being brutally punished?" Radulf arched his brow at him.
Leon frowned when Radulf asked, "Would His Highness like to take coffee? I should have asked it earlier, but it almost slipped my mind. I’ve been outside the home for so long that I forget to ask for pleasantries many times."
Leon smiled and shook his head. "I won’t take anything. Radulf, you should be honest with me. The Alpha King thinks it was you who hung those three heads in the balcony. You should admit your crime," Leon stated.
"Your Highness, why should I admit a crime which I never committed? I cleared to Commander Alfred yesterday too how an evidence is required in every crime." Radulf confidently refused his involvement to this crime.
"But there is no one who can challenge my father like this. Your father and mother were hung to death for what they did. Your family has a history to do crimes against the royalty. Your blood is the same," Leon provoked him this time. It was impossible for anyone to deny the crime when his family would be brought. Leon knew Radulf’s temper and he felt this could trigger Radulf to admit what he did.
"Prince Leon, please don’t accuse my husband without evidence," Zenna’s voice came and the two men looked in her direction. She was at the bottom of the stairs, holding Pia’s hand while Savio was standing right next to her. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
Radulf and Leon left their seats seeing her.
"Why did you come here?" Radulf asked, approaching Zenna in his swift speed. The concern ran through his eyes.
"Because I couldn’t stay in the room for long," Zenna whispered, making sure it was audible only to him.
"Zenna, are you well? I have come yesterday to check on you. How are your wounds? I have arranged a special medicine for you," Leon said, taking out a tiny glass bottle from the inner pocket of his coat.
Zenna stepped up and bowed to the prince. "I am doing well, Your Highness," she said. "Thank you for your kind concern. I can’t accept the medicine since my wounds are already healed. Forgive me," she apologized, keeping her tone humble.
"That’s good to hear," Leon replied, lowering his hand and looking at her from head to toe.
"Radulf didn’t do it. He was with me the entire time. Maybe Father has made some enemies because of his temper and someone used this opportunity to frame my husband to do such an inhuman crime," Zenna explained to Leon.
"You are right, Zenna. I didn’t think in that way," Leon said and noticed the mark on her neck. He was enraged to see that and gazed at Radulf for a brief moment.
"I’ll see you out, Your Highness," Zenna said.
"Just take rest and recover fast. I have postponed the ball to the next week. I want you both there," Leon said half-heartedly to Radulf.
"We will come, Your Highness," Zenna said with a small smile and glanced at Radulf.
