The Alpha's Forsaken Feisty Mate-Chapter 95: Visiting Strawberry Farmland (1)

The next morning, Radulf as usual woke up early. He washed up and got ready to finish the work before taking Zenna to the strawberries farm in their estate.

As he took the seat behind the desk, he first opened the desk and picked out a random letter once again.

"Dear Radulf,

The lands have turned green once again while the trees are filled with new blossoms. We started the trade in flowers and created another revenue generation business. Though it’s in the initial stage, I am sure with time our pack will get prosperous and wealthy. I wonder what’s the situation there that you are unable to write a single letter for me. Sometimes, I wish to come to you and aid you in whatever I can. But I feel you will hate my presence because I am wolf-less. Still, I want to believe that you talk about me every day with yourself or maybe with others.

A few days ago when I went to the market, I saw a couple with their young baby. They were purchasing new clothes for the baby. It made me wonder what it would be like to have a baby together. I know you’ll be a great father. Ahh, I wrote too much. So, I’ll end it here. Just take care of yourself. Everything is fine here and I will return soon.

Yours, Zenna."

Radulf folded the letter back into the envelope and smiled. "I don’t know how great a father I will be, but you surely will be a great mother to our kids," he murmured.

Realization hit him for what he just said and shook his head. "I never remembered her once. But these letters will surely tell me how she spent her days in my memories... Not even memories, just in a glimpse," he whispered before putting back the letter into the last drawer.

He resumed the work that he had left in the middle yesterday.

"How could I wake up so late?" Zenna muttered while brushing her hair quickly.

"Luna, you were tired yesterday. So, no one wanted to disturb you. And it was Alpha’s order too," Pia informed her.

"It is almost afternoon, past eleven in the morning, Pia. You should have woken me up," Zenna complained and placed the brush on the table.

"It’s fine, Luna. Sometimes such delays don’t matter. Moreover, you were tired yesterday," Pia said with a smile. "I will bring your breakfast in the room," she added.

"I’m not hungry. I will meet Radulf first. He must be working alone," Zenna stated. "I will see you later," she rushed out and only stopped in Radulf’s office. As she pushed open the door, she called his name, apologizing to him at the same time for being late today.

Zenna was startled seeing so many men inside the office. She recognized them. They were the pack members.

"It seems I disturbed you all," Zenna murmured, feeling embarrassed. Radulf didn’t mention anything about having a meeting today. "I will come later," she said, taking a step back.

"The meeting is over," Radulf said, glancing at the pack members. All of them stood up from their seats and left one by one. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦

Savio was the last one to leave and shut the doors behind him.

"You didn’t inform me about having a meeting today," Zenna said, approaching the desk slowly.

"Because I called an emergency meeting," Radulf stated.

"Why?"

"I wanted to know how prepared the pack members are to answer my questions," Radulf replied, walking to her. "Then, shall we go to the strawberry farmland?" His eyes glinted up with excitement.

"Now? I thought you weren’t serious about it," Zenna replied.

"When was I unserious, Zenna?" Radulf rested his one hand on the desk, tilting his head. "Which soap did you use today?" he asked suddenly.

"I don’t know... Maids used it. Perhaps made of some flowers," Zenna answered. "Why?" She wondered if the fragrance was unpleasant.

"Hmm. Give me the privilege to bathe with you someday," Radulf demanded with mischief in his eyes.

Her eyes grew large to hear his shameless demand. "Don’t tease me," Zenna said.

"I’m not teasing you. You are the one who does that," Radulf pronounced.

"I never teased you," Zenna denied his accusation.

"You do, Zenna," Radulf proclaimed, leaning close to her. He kissed her chin out of the blue, thus flustering her. "Then, let’s go to the farmland. I am excited to eat the strawberries fed by your hands." He held her hand and walked out with her.

As they stepped out of the mansion, Zenna saw a horse waiting for them.

"Aren’t we going into a carriage?"

"Let’s take a horse ride to the farmland. That will be more enjoyable," Radulf stated. He brought her toward the horse and made her mount it. She was a bit scared but Radulf was quick to sit behind her, holding the reins tightly.

"You don’t know how to ride a horse, do you?" Radulf’s lips brushed the top of her ear.

"N-no," Zenna stuttered before giving a response.

"Then, learn it from me," Radulf said and lightly kicked the horse.

Zenna’s breath remained hitched throughout the ride.

"You are supposed to relax when you are on a horse," Radulf told her as he placed his hands on her waist and brought her down on the land.

"What if I had fallen?" Zenna murmured when Radulf took the big hat from Savio, who was already waiting for them at the farm’s entrance. Radulf tied the knot of the hat under Zenna’s chin. "I have never eaten strawberries like I will today. You better make it enjoyable for me," he whispered against her lips.

Savio couldn’t help but smile at the way Radulf was flirting with Zenna. He was going to pull his friend’s legs later. "Alpha, Luna, I will leave now. Enjoy your day ahead," Savio said and left on a horse.

"Lead my way, Princess. I am not aware much about this farmland," Radulf said with a smile.
