The Best Actor Insists On Living With Me!-Chapter 1670 - 1660: Falling Behind (Part 1)
They returned fairly late, and Xia Siyu is essentially a sleeping goddess. When she’s not working, she needs to sleep for over ten hours at home to ensure she has enough energy to be active. If she’s been too busy and tired before, and sleep-deprived, she might need even more sleep.
In the previous episodes, she managed to wake up early the first time because she slept early and had caught up on sleep the day before. Last time she was assigned to buy breakfast, she woke up early but went back to sleep afterwards, and didn’t miss her nap. — Basically, without enough sleep, she doesn’t have the energy to mess with the reality show.
This time in the desert, it was agreed that there would be competition between the teams, with the first arrivals having an advantage. They didn’t have to camp together and could set off whenever they liked, each team had a guide anyway.
Actually, Zhou Weiwei’s team went to bed the earliest last night, given there was no activity and it was cold outside after they’d finished their bread. They didn’t have warm clothes, so they rested early. Of course, Zhou Weiwei doesn’t sleep well in unfamiliar beds — that’s another matter.
Because she couldn’t sleep, they woke up very early, waking up at the crack of dawn. But even awake, Zhou Weiwei still felt sleep-deprived, her head a little muddled.
She woke just as it was getting light, the seniors next door who don’t need much sleep were awake too. The two groups had collaborated before, so they were familiar. Unfortunately, the bonfire from last night was extinguished by Bo Yan’s group before they went for a walk, fearing it might cause a fire. With no source of fire, there was no way to boil water. They had to make do with mineral water for washing up.
Without water, everyone could only use towels to wipe their bodies, which was quite uncomfortable for the celebrities, especially Zhou Weiwei who hated the cold water, leaving her head unwashed. Her hair was getting a bit greasy.
Luckily, knowing their cooking abilities, they didn’t buy any fresh produce. Once the two groups packed up, they quickly had a bit of breakfast and prepared to head out.
At that moment, the other two families hadn’t moved yet. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
The seniors had eaten the hotpot made by Bo Yan’s group the night before and felt a bit embarrassed. Knowing their fresh produce probably wouldn’t be needed for lunch, they left it all in front of Bo Yan’s tent before they set off.
Actually, Bo Yan was already awake by this time. Xia Siyu needs lots of sleep but Bo Yan doesn’t. Xia Siyu requires ten hours to stay energetic, while he only needs five or six hours.
But now, he couldn’t get up: Though they slept in separate sleeping bags, the desert was too cold, even snuggling was not warm enough. With Xia Siyu’s hair mostly draped over him, he didn’t want to wake her by moving.
Besides, the cameras in the room weren’t on, so he would continue lying down. Thankfully, that couple were considerate, leaving their things at the door instead of knocking and handing them over.
Once they left the stuff, they packed up and set off. From all four teams moving together, it reverted back to two teams moving forward.
After lying there for a while, Xia Siyu was still asleep, but Shang Feifei and Han Yifan were awake. They packed up and leisurely had breakfast, glancing back, the other side was still sleeping soundly.
With a toothbrush in his mouth, Han Yifan laughed, "Hey, it seemed quite lively over there last night."
His words were somewhat ambiguous. Shang Feifei, more experienced in the industry, quickly diverted the topic, "I think they argued, right?"
"Even if they did, it was Xia yelling at Bo Yan one-sidedly. Xia’s voice packs a punch, Bo Yan wouldn’t stand a chance," Han Yifan chuckled, "But Bo needs someone like her to keep him in check. The kid’s pretty cocky at school."
As he chatted, he found the things left behind by the seniors for Bo Yan’s group, looking surprised: "Did the show provide this? Why do only they get some and not us? Show team, you’re walking a narrow path, the issue isn’t scarcity, but inequality."
The staff nearby explained, "The seniors brought this over before they left."
Han Yifan scanned it briefly, mainly ingredients. Well, he wasn’t great at cooking anyway; probably they ate Bo Yan’s food yesterday and this was a "thank you."
"Alright, then. Them?" He glanced at their tent, the seniors and Zhou Weiwei’s team had gone.
"So we can leave early, right? No need to drag along with those two?"
As if Bo Yan’s group is dead weight? When Xia Siyu is energetic, she can walk twenty kilometers without a hitch.
Only someone like him — a classic "bad friend" — dares say such things, especially on a show.
"Sure."
With a mischievous grin, Han Yifan said, "Then let’s set off first, let those ’reserves’ prepare themselves behind."
Shang Feifei was indifferent; she packed up and ate breakfast before slowly setting off.
Actually, it was still early, just past nine. The weather wasn’t too hot yet; traveling now was quite cool.
It was almost ten when Xia Siyu woke up. Upon waking, she let out a "Hmm~~" inside her sleeping bag, wanting to stretch, but her hands and feet were restrained, unable to move. But she could call for help, she shouted: "Bo Yan."
Luckily, Xia Siyu had enough sleep, didn’t shout "husband," or everyone would be sleeplessly waiting for them.
Bo Yan woke up after Han Yifan’s group left, gathered the things left for them, and thanked the seniors in front of the camera. Then he washed up, packed, and started a fire, making it possible for her to wash her face with warm water.
But he didn’t activate the camera, allowing Xia Siyu to rest peacefully inside. Upon hearing the noise, he quickly returned.
This time, he couldn’t leave the camera off any longer, he pointed to the corner’s camera first, signaling he’d need to turn it on, then gently said, "Awake? The other teams have gone ahead; let’s take our time packing, no rush."
Xia Siyu nodded, she was awake but still drowsy, and softly said: "Sleeping bag."
Bo Yan didn’t help instantly but added first: "Your sleeping bag’s zipper got stuck yesterday, right? Isn’t it problematic? Too bad the show doesn’t have replacements."
Indirectly explaining their "quarrel and fight" last night.
Bo Yan helped unzip it, but Xia Siyu was like at home, stretching her arms out, asking him to pull her up.
Bo Yan dared not act directly; he deliberately said, somewhat like yesterday: "Want me to help? Beg me. Aren’t you a dancer? I haven’t noticed much flexibility."
Is Xia Siyu someone who begs for help? She flipped herself up in a flash, even lunging side to side afterward, and effortlessly did a split: "You can say I’m bad at acting, but you can’t say I can’t dance."
