The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 667 - 708: Adrian Desmond’s Subordinates
"Brett Jacobs, believe it or not, I’ll kill you!," 001 said fiercely, instantly exuding a murderous aura, completely different from his effeminate demeanor moments ago.
Brett Jacobs let out a cold snort and threw a disdainful glance at 001, not taking him seriously at all.
Adrian Desmond was also quite troubled.
001 was such a normal child when he was young, but he seemed to grow more twisted as he aged. If I had known 001 would become such a mentally-ill person, I would not have chosen him, no matter how excellent he was at the time.
Just as Brett Jacobs said, 001 was simply a disgrace to him.
"Sixth Master, he’s bullying me!" 001 pointed his little finger and acted coquettishly towards Adrian Desmond, as if to say, ’Sir, you must uphold justice for me!’
Adrian looked at the man before him in great distress and said, "001, go back to the base!" There was no room for him here.
"Sixth Master, are you trying to drive me away?"
"The base needs you more!"
His wife was about to give birth, and Adrian wasn’t willing to take any risks. What if Sienna Johnson saw this weirdo and their son became a weirdo too?
"Sixth Master, I don’t want to go. I’m not young anymore, and I want to find a good place to settle down."
Brett Jacobs said, "There are so many men on the island; there will always be one who likes your kind of weirdo."
If 001 had just been delicate-looking and enjoyed cross-dressing, they could have accepted that. But 001 was burly and rough-looking, a pure man’s man. Wearing women’s clothes just made the effect... unbearable to look at.
"I don’t like those smelly, sweaty men at the base..."
"So, what kind do you want?"
001 looked at Adrian Desmond, his eyes almost emitting red hearts. "I like the type like Sixth Master—a very MAN-like personality, but also so handsome."
"You’re into Sixth Master..."
"I just worship Sixth Master."
003, always one for a shocking statement, exclaimed, "That night when you were dreaming and calling out obscenities, was the man in your dream Sixth Master?!"
Adrian’s face had already darkened.
001 wasn’t a fool; he naturally knew they were digging a pit for him to fall into. "My feelings for Sixth Master are pure. Don’t be so dirty-minded."
While furiously typing code, Aaron Faber managed to interject, "Sixth Master, 001’s got his sights on you. Be careful not to let Madam find out. If Madam discovers you’ve hooked up with someone who’s neither man nor woman, haha..."
Adrian snatched up a book and struck Aaron Faber on the head, scolding, "Enough nonsense! Get back to your work! If anyone breaks into Unnamed Island again, you can forget about seeing Samara for the rest of your life."
"Sixth Master, don’t! How can you break up a pair of lovebirds and separate us?"
"Shut up!"
Seeing there was no more leeway, Aaron Faber turned his attention back to testing.
He had heard that Shade Jervois had taken a liking to Samara and had even proposed to her. When Aaron Faber heard this, alarm bells went off in his mind.
That fool Shade Jervois is good at playing dumb and innocent, and Samara is such a kind, naive girl. What if she takes pity on that idiot and falls for him? No, no way. He absolutely has to make the defense system tighter—so tight not even a fly could get in, let alone that colossal fool Shade Jervois!
"004, 005..." Adrian called in two more men.
The two men were tall and imposing, with solemn expressions, similar in type to Brett Jacobs. "Sixth Master, what are your orders?"
"Take 001 back to the base for me! If he’s unwilling to go, then throw him out to Cagalanga. A place like Cagalanga is where he truly belongs."
001 was very unwilling to return to the base. "I’ll go to Cagalanga! I want to go to Cagalanga! ...Sixth Master, I can be your informant in Cagalanga! Rest assured, with my looks, I’ll definitely dig up some valuable information for you."
Adrian waved his hand, signaling for 001 to be taken away quickly. The room finally quieted. "You go back and tell Jule to hire a psychiatrist. From now on, during newcomer training, conduct psychological tests on them. We can’t have another one like 001." He’s simply a disgrace to me.
002, his face like a coffin lid, heard Boss 001 being disparaged so harshly and couldn’t help but speak up, "Sixth Master, although 001 is unreliable at times, his abilities are very strong..."
"Why do you think I’ve let him live until now?" Adrian countered.
002 fell silent.
After checking everything, Aaron Faber said, "Sixth Master, I’ve finished checking. There’s no problem."
"If there’s no problem with the system, then how did Night Owl slip into Unnamed Island undetected?" Adrian Desmond demanded.
"That... I’m not sure. But I just tested the system, and there were no issues."
Adrian tapped his fingers lightly on the table, his gaze distant. Everyone else held their breath, daring not to make a sound.
Suddenly, a head poked in, and a voice tossed out, "Then, is it possible that someone turned off the monitoring system when Night Owl entered?"
Adrian Desmond’s gaze snapped over, and 001’s head quickly retracted.
Adrian looked at Aaron Faber and asked, "Is that possible?"
"Yes."
"Can anyone turn off the monitoring system?"
"Anyone who knows the password can!"
Adrian ordered, "Set up a program that keeps the monitoring system always on. No one can turn it off—not even me!"
"Yes, sir!"
Just as Aaron Faber was about to modify the program, Brett Jacobs said, "Sixth Master, a man has arrived. We don’t know if it’s Night Owl or Shade Jervois."
Everyone looked at the man on the monitor. He wore a suit and, as Aaron Faber would put it, looked deceptively presentable. He held a large bouquet of roses and was brazenly walking onto Unnamed Island.
"Sixth Master, let’s just bomb him to death!" Aaron Faber’s hand was already on the switch for the island’s defense system. One press, and the machine guns would open fire.
In fact, they possessed heavy weaponry but couldn’t use it unless absolutely necessary. Using it risked detection by certain countries’ satellites, and they didn’t want to be misinterpreted as researching atomic bombs.
"No, let him in. I have business with him," Adrian said.
"Sixth Master, please reconsider! Who knows if that person isn’t Night Owl in disguise?" Aaron Faber vehemently objected to Shade Jervois coming onto the island. That bouquet of roses in his hand is definitely for Samara. That bastard! How dare he try to steal my girl!
"Can you remove the anklet from Sienna’s foot?"
"I can’t!" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Then shut up!"
Aaron Faber looked at Adrian Desmond with a mournful gaze, his heart taking ten thousand points of damage. Their master was always so cold and ruthless.
"Sixth Master, you can’t marry Samara to that fool... Her happiness won’t be guaranteed at all."
"Samara is still young. Her sister doesn’t allow her to date early! We can talk about it again in a decade or so."
