The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress-Chapter 675 - 716: What’s On My Mind Is You
Adrian was domineering and chauvinistic, with an intense possessiveness toward her.
Usually, when she merely glanced at other men while shopping, he would get upset and even sulk for a long time, much less after what she had just said to him.
An identical token of commitment... that would definitely make him furious.
It’s all my fault. I got so mad at Night Owl that I said those things. Sienna was filled with regret. She had spoken rashly because Night Owl had provoked her, and worse, she had fallen right into his trap.
Adrian!
At this thought, she couldn’t sit still anymore. She got up and chased after him outside.
In the long, carpeted corridor, there was no sign of Adrian. She looked left and right, but there was no sign of him. "Adrian..." she called out several times, but he didn’t respond.
Where did he go?
A servant happened to walk by, and Sienna hurriedly went over to ask, "Have you seen Sixth Master?"
"Oh, Sixth Master just got into the elevator!"
Sienna ran after him, noticing the elevator’s descending numbers. It was already on the third floor. She wouldn’t catch up now even if she took the next elevator down.
She abandoned the elevator and instead went through an emergency stairwell to the rooftop on the top floor. The rooftop was open on all sides, and the sea wind howled, whipping her skirt up so it billowed around her, as if trying to sweep her away.
She walked to the edge of the rooftop and, sure enough, saw a man about to get into a car. It was Adrian.
Sienna cupped her hands around her mouth and shouted loudly, "Adrian!"
Adrian heard her call and looked up. His deep black eyes were filled with murderous intent. Sienna’s heart lurched, and a sense of foreboding washed over her. She was terrified that Adrian, in a fit of rage, would go after Night Owl alone to settle the score.
Looking at his expression now, he’s almost certainly going to settle accounts with Night Owl.
"Adrian, where are you going?"
Adrian ignored her and was about to get into the car. Sienna’s heart ached. Disregarding her own safety, she stood on the very edge of the rooftop. It seemed as if a stronger gust of wind could send her plummeting.
"Sixth Master, look, Madam is standing on the edge of the rooftop—it’s too dangerous!" Walter exclaimed, startled by Sienna’s actions.
With her large belly, she looked clearly unsteady on her feet. If she wasn’t careful and fell, it would be incredibly dangerous.
"Adrian, come back to me! If you don’t, I’ll jump!" Sienna threatened.
"Are you out of your mind?!" Adrian roared at her, gritting his teeth in anger, yet not daring to say anything too harsh. He was afraid of agitating her; if she became emotionally unstable, she might accidentally fall.
Sienna choked out, her voice thick with sobs, "You’re not allowed to go!" Tears welled in her eyes, threatening to fall at any moment.
"Come back!"
Many onlookers were baffled by this scene. Had Sixth Master and Madam been fighting? Was Madam threatening to jump?
They didn’t know what had happened between the two. Sixth Master wanted to leave, while Madam was threatening to jump from the building to stop him.
Everyone automatically imagined countless versions of a passionate and poignant love story, eagerly watching the spectacle on the rooftop.
Adrian spoiled his wife so much that his brothers couldn’t stand to watch it. So, the men on the island were more inclined to believe that Madam had done something to wrong Sixth Master. Sixth Master, furious and humiliated, was torn between love and hate. Facing his pregnant wife, whom he couldn’t bring himself to hit or scold, he had no choice but to leave.
What a profound and heart-wrenching drama! the onlookers thought.
"This is a matter of life and death. No matter how they quarreled, she shouldn’t threaten to jump," Walter urged, "Sixth Master, it’s too dangerous. You need to hurry and persuade Madam. If she accidentally falls, you’ll regret it."
Adrian was well aware of the danger. How could he dare to leave now? If Sienna asked him to die, he wouldn’t even frown.
"I won’t go! I’m not going anywhere! Get back from there!" Adrian shouted at her.
"Okay." Sienna carefully retreated. However, her eyes were blurred with tears, obscuring her vision. She missed a step and stumbled, fortunately falling backward. The onlookers collectively gasped. Then they saw their formidable Sixth Master actually plop down on the ground, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead.
Everyone quickly lowered their heads, pretending to be busy, feigning ignorance of Sixth Master’s embarrassing moment.
"The weather is so nice today, haha..."
"Yeah, look at the white clouds floating in the sky..."
The two were talking nonsense with straight faces. It was clearly an overcast day, not nice at all, with no white clouds, only dark, ominous ones.
"Sixth Master..." Walter, also feeling awkward, finally reacted and quickly helped Adrian up. Adrian’s legs were weak. He stood up with Walter’s support, gritting his teeth and muttering, "I’m going to kill you, woman!"
Walter just listened to such words as if they were a joke. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
To reach the rooftop as quickly as possible, Adrian didn’t take the elevator or the stairs; he climbed up the exterior of the seven-story castle with his bare hands. Sienna, still reeling from her earlier scare, hadn’t yet recovered when she saw Adrian scaling the wall. She was so terrified she was rendered speechless.
The sea wind whistled, drying the cold sweat on her, carrying away her body heat, and she felt her body stiffen.
Adrian was fast. Sienna hadn’t even had time to compose herself before Adrian appeared. His head popped up over the edge, and with a push of his arms, he vaulted onto the rooftop and strode towards Sienna.
The moment he reached her, Adrian roared, shoving her. Sienna stumbled backward from the force.
"..."
"Do you know how dangerous that was just now? You could have died if you fell, do you realize that? Aren’t you smart? What on earth is in your head right now? Water? Mush?"
"You’re in my head!"
"..."
"It’s you in my head, you bastard!"
"..."
"Bastard! You big bastard!"
The tears she had been holding back finally streamed down, provoked by Adrian’s scolding. She felt utterly wronged. "Bastard! Bastard! Bastard!" Sienna pummeled Adrian with her fists and feet. Though her blows were light and didn’t hurt, so many of his subordinates were watching. His pride! His pride as a man!
In Abyanabad, it was unheard of for a woman to hit a man.
But their Sienna not only hit him, she also verbally assaulted him. If this were in the privacy of their bedroom, on the bed, he could turn a blind eye and even consider it part of their foreplay. But in front of everyone, this damn woman...
