The Billionaire Twins Need A New Mommy!-Chapter 716: Chacha And Second’s Adventure
[Order]
"Sis!" Slater jogged into the family wing, catching Lola standing before the twins. "Babies~! Chacha, Second~! Uncle Slater is here for you~!"
Lola and the twins glanced in his direction before she turned back to the children. A shallow breath escaped her, thinking Slater was acting as though he hadn’t seen her kids for a long time.
"Babies, Mommy is just going to leave for today, okay?" She squatted in front of them, holding their hands gently. "Auntie Kiara will be here after her meeting. Is that okay?"
The twins stood in front of her, smiling and nodding. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Lola’s smile widened as she ruffled their hair. "You two are so understanding and well-behaved."
It made her feel even more guilty that her children had been adjusting to everything. Even so, it also fueled her motivation to do her best and seal this Chapter of their lives at once.
"Mommy, don’t worry about Chacha and Second," Chacha said politely. "Second will behave."
"Eh? What about my dearest Chacha?"
"I will try."
Lola chuckled, knowing that even if Chacha didn’t outright promise, she had still been behaving well.
"Auntie Kiara is a little tired, so don’t make her play tag for now, okay?" she hummed, resting her hands on her knees. "Also, if you’re bored, Uncle Allen and Izu are around too."
The kids nodded in understanding.
"Mommy, just focus on saving Auntie Yuri," Second said as he stepped closer and planted a kiss on Lola’s cheek. "We will be here when you come back."
"Do you want Mommy to buy you anything?"
As usual, the kids shook their heads, keeping their adorable smiles. At the same time, Slater finally reached them.
"Babies~! How about Uncle Slater? Where’s my kiss—" The rest of his words were cut off when Lola’s palm blocked his face, shoving him back to give the twins space.
"Mommy, are you going with Uncle Slater?" Second asked curiously, and Lola nodded. "What about Uncle Hugo?"
Lola smiled. "Uncle Hugo will stay right here. So, if you need anything, you can also call him. You guys have your phones, right?"
The twins nodded, easing Lola’s heart. Although they already had phones before, they rarely used them. But since everyone was busy, it was better for them to keep their phones at all times. That way, they’d know if the twins needed something.
As Lola stood up, she glanced between the children and sighed heavily.
Reluctance was clear in her eyes. So many things were happening, and leaving the twins could be a mistake. However, even with the thought of a mole, the twins had remained unharmed. Not to mention, with Renny around them one hundred percent of the time, their security was even tighter.
Renny — the black panther — was trained to sense danger from a mile away. So, Atlas didn’t worry about his children too much. Besides, the twins themselves were trained.
"Sis, if you don’t want to go, then just send me," Slater said as he walked beside her, hands shoved in his pockets, his body slightly turned toward Lola. "Did First Brother agree that you should leave the territory?"
Lola nodded. "He said as long as I take security with me."
"But you’re only taking me, Florida, and a few others who were already cleared from the investigation. Is that enough?"
"Taking more than that will send the wrong message," Lola said, giving him a side-eye. "Anyway, we can really leave the twins, right?"
Slater glanced back, seeing the twins already playing with Renny in the garden. "Of course. Chacha and Second behave when they know they should. I think they’ve been behaving quite well lately."
"My children always behave."
"True, but that’s mostly because they’re planning something else," Slater blurted, then shrugged. "Oh well. Back then, it was just First Brother. I don’t think they’d try anything with their mom around."
Lola chuckled while Slater grinned, and they continued toward the other side of the residence where the others were waiting.
Meanwhile, as Lola and Slater walked away, the twins played with Renny as usual. But when the two adults were in the distance, they paused and turned in their mother’s direction.
"Chacha, Mommy might get angry with us," Second said worriedly. "She said we have to behave."
"We are behaving," Chacha smiled — the kind that looked smug. "And I never said I would behave."
Second pouted. "What about me?"
"I’ll just say you tried to stop me!" she declared, then extended her arm over Renny. "Also, Renny will be with us. He’s the big brother! And big brothers always get scolded first!"
"Chunchun, will you get scolded too?" Second asked the small white cat, who only purred.
"Chunchun couldn’t care less," Chacha nodded. "They will protect us. Also, we still have an ultimate move!"
The mischievous Chacha beamed, twinkling as if her charm alone could save her from any discipline. "I’ve been practicing crying. Once I start crying, even Daddy’s cold heart will melt."
"Chacha, I think you’re very optimistic."
"Second, don’t worry!" she grinned. "We’re just going to take a look! Who knows, we might even save the world! Hahaha!"
Second looked at his mischievous sister. She had always been the troublemaker, but as her brother, he had to go. She would go whether alone or with him. Might as well be there to protect her.
"But Chacha, if I say we have to go home, you will listen to me," he proposed, and she nodded. "Promise?"
She raised her pinky. "Promise~!"
Second smiled and wrapped his pinky around hers. "As long as we come back before Mommy or Daddy returns, there won’t be a problem."
As the children planned their little adventure to check the crime scene, their feline companions watched them quietly. From their expressions, Renny and Chunchun couldn’t decide who was more optimistic — the twins or themselves.
The two felines shook their heads, knowing they had no choice but to guide these two little children and keep them from dying.
With that, Chacha and Second watched the sky until they saw a chopper carrying Lola away.
And with that, Chacha and Second’s adventure began!
