The Billionaire's Hidden Affection-Chapter 567 - 564 Time’s Up 6_1
"He went to F Country. It would be best if he never came back. But now, no one can handle that mess. It’s a massive headache, and I can’t trust anyone."
Zhou Ting paused.
"Dad, I have a suitable candidate."
"Who?"
"Huang Xiaojue."
Old Zhou hesitated slightly. "I have investigated Huang Xiaojue’s background. His rise in the last two or three years has been so rapid, it’s almost like a miracle. He definitely has the ability. However, how can we just casually hand over such an important position to an outsider?"
"What if I marry him?"
Old Zhou was quite surprised. "Tingting, have you started dating him?"
"It wouldn’t really count as dating, but we have a mutual attraction. I hadn’t considered him initially, but he’s decided to accept a transfer abroad. Since that’s the case, it probably wouldn’t be difficult for him to switch companies. His character and abilities are both solid, certainly much better than my cousins. Dad, it’s hard to justify promoting our cousins publicly right now. Besides, they’ve always been arrogant and unruly, making them impossible to control. Who knows how much trouble they might cause? But Huang Xiaojue is different. He’s an outsider and a self-made man. Employing him could, to some extent, improve our public image..."
Old Zhou deliberated for a moment. "And what’s his opinion on the matter?"
"I only mentioned it to him briefly. If you agree, I’m confident I can convince him to join."
Old Zhou stood up and walked a few steps around the room.
"Tingting, do you like him?"
Zhou Ting hesitated for a moment but then replied forthrightly, "I wouldn’t say I *really* like him, but I believe he has great potential. His upright character surpasses many of the young masters in our circle. Dad, why don’t you meet him once? You can see for yourself what kind of person he is."
"No rush. When the time comes, I will naturally meet him."
Zhou Ting could tell her father was relenting. She knew that if it weren’t for this critical moment, her father would never have agreed so readily.
"Then I’ll find an opportunity to talk to him."
Old Zhou’s brow relaxed slightly. "In that case, I agree. Sigh, Tingting, right now, you’re truly the only one who can help me shoulder these burdens."
Zhou Ting smiled. "Dad, don’t worry. We still have time. As long as we can turn the company’s situation around, everything will inevitably get back on track."
Yan Xixi studied late into the night. When she glanced at the clock, it was almost midnight, yet she didn’t feel sleepy in the slightest. She got up to stretch her limbs and brewed a cup of steaming hot, fresh coffee.
