"Harlow!!!"

"Harlow!!"

"Harlow!!"

The name echoed through the hall as all eyes darted between Claudia, now seated on the floor, and Harlow, who stood over her with a sweet menacing smile.

She looked down at her so-called sister, her gaze sharp and unwavering, like a predator toying with its prey.

"You can’t beat me, Claudia dear, so why do you keep trying?" Harlow asked, her voice almost teasing. "I haven’t touched anything of yours, yet you keep trying to hurt me."

"What have you done, Harlow?!" Frank’s voice boomed through the hall. He stormed forward, his face red with anger.

"Your sister is pregnant! Why are you always so jealous of her? Why do you keep hurting her?"

His frustration was clear. Every time Harlow appeared, she stirred up trouble. Why couldn’t she just accept Claudia? Why was she so fixated on killing Claudia’s child?

Harlow has been married for many months now, and just like her mother, she has yet to have a child. Yet Claudia who only just had an affair was not only carrying a child, but both the Blackwood’s and Hamilton’s first grandchild.

If the child is a boy, he could be Frank’s heir. The one that will inherit everything he owns. Harlow will have to understand, after all, Claudia is also his child too.

Frank believed that is why his last daughter was angry. Because she cannot have a child even if she’s been married for many months.

"Don’t make me file a restraining order against you, Harlow. You’re becoming impossible!" Harlow stared at her father in silence wondering if he would treat her this way if he found out the girl he’s been defending was not his daughter at all. And that for years, he has hated his only child.

Claudia quickly rushed to her father’s side, tears brimming in her wide, innocent eyes.

"Father, I only asked her why she was here, and she pushed me!" she sniffled, gripping Frank’s arm like a frightened child.

"Why does Harlow always treat me like this? All I’ve ever done is love you, Harlow, but every time you try to hurt my child." Her voice trembled as she continued,

"So what if I’m an illegitimate child? Don’t I deserve to be loved too?" Her sobs filled the air, painting the perfect picture of a helpless victim.

Frank clenched his jaw, his anger growing.

"Don’t mind her Claudia, she’s only jealous you’re able to do the one thing she cannot do. Get pregnant." Lia said. "Brother Alanis must be getting tired of you already. You have the worst attitude and infertile. It was only a matter of time." Lia giggled.

"This should be the last time you lay your hands on my daughter again Harlow. I’ll deal with you if you do so."

"You weren’t here to see everything yet I’m the Villai? Because I don’t cry?" She said to Frank.

"If you want to keep your precious daughter and her pregnancy safe, tell her to stay away from me." Harlow bellowed.

"You see?" Bodhi finally spoke, his voice dripping with disapproval. "Frank, this daughter of yours needs to be tamed. I’ve never seen a woman so uncouth and disrespectful."

Harlow’s eyes snapped to him, and for the first time, she truly took him in.

Green eyes, full lips, and a defined chin. He sure has Claudia’s features. Could he be her sweet sister’s real father?

Her lips curled. This was Interesting.

"And who the hell are you?" Harlow asked, crossing her arms.

Bodhi’s expression darkened, his lips twisting in irritation. He has never met anyone as annoying as this girl. Wait, her mother was, if Frank wasn’t so in love with that big mouth, he would have dealt with her himself. Women like this need to be beaten.

"Who exactly are you to decide what goes on in this family?" she pressed.

Elisa gasped. "Have some shame, Harlow! You have no right to speak to Bodhi that way. In case you don’t know, he’s your father’s friend."

Harlow hummed, tilting her head as she examined the man more closely.

A friend, huh? She highly doubted that. freewebnøvel.coɱ

"So what do you expect me to do?" she asked, her voice filled with amusement. "Kneel and worship him?"

Elisa’s face burned with rage, but Harlow was already losing interest in this conversation.

She had gotten exactly what she came for. And now?

Now, they were just boring her.

With a sigh, she turned to Frank. "I’m done here," she said simply as her sharp gaze flicked to Claudia.

"The next time she steals from me again... she’ll be missing a part of her precious body."

Claudia stiffened. Without another, word Harlow stepped out of the hall. In her hands were a few strands of Claudia’s hair. From now on, their days were numbered in the Blackwood’s mansion.

Claudia who had acted like she was weak u til this moment rushed into her room, her heart racing wild as she hurried to where she had kept the document. If Harlow has it then she’s truly over.

Elisa understood where her daughter was going to and ran after her. After all, if the secret gets out, they are both doomed. Frank will never forgive them, especially after everything they’ve both made Harlow go through.

"Did you see it?" Elisa asked as she closed the door behind her. Claudia turned to her mother with a smile.

"Seems she couldn’t find it." She said sweetly.

"I told you not to get the book, Claudia, do you know the trouble you would have put us in?" She scolded her daughter. She was as scared as Claudia too. She had seen the determination in Harlow’s eyes. Elisa knew more than anyone that her daughter-in-law suspected them.

Not more than ever they need to be extra careful.

"Harlow is becoming an untamable problem. I think it’s time to handle her." Elisa said calmly.

Their room door suddenly opened to Frank stepping in. He felt so sorry for his daughter, Harlow’s bullying was getting out of hand.

"What are you doing here?" Elisa frowned. "Have you seen what your precious daughter has done to my Claudia? Are you happy?" Frank didn’t know what to say. He was seeing the truth in everything Elisa had told him now, Harlow had truly become his problem.

"I’m sorry," Frank said.

"I will not spare her if anything happens to my grandchild." Elisa declared.

When Harlow reached the entrance of the mansion, she was greeted by more than 10 men in black suits and five more convoys parked next to her car.

"Good day Mrs Hamilton, we’re here to take you home." They all said in unison. Harlow smiled. Alanis knew she was coming here and had sent these men to protect her.
