Harlow watched the imposters merry and drink together. She was sure they all had no idea what was coming. The plans she had for them. She would let them enjoy their victory, for now, she would let them think they have won.
"Harlow, how come you never said you were coming?" Claudia asked with a smile.
"Who said she has a right to come here anymore," Garth said with disgust. Of all the people she wanted to see, Harlow was the last person she wanted to see.
"I came to see Father, where is he?" Harlow asked feigning ignorance.
"Where else will Frank be?" Claudia asked.
"He’s not here, not leave before we ask security to take you away," George warned.
"Take me away from my father’s mansion? What right do you have to do that?" Harlow shot back.
"Listen here Harlow, this mansion belongs to be now. You and Frank are no longer allowed in here." Elisa said. She had the papers, everything. Frank signed the mansion and everything he owns to her, no one, not even the devil can take it from her this time.
"How does Father’s mansion belong to you Elisa? Did he go on a trip? Where is he?" Harlow looked around as if searching for someone.
"The boldness to show your face here after everything you’ve done. Don’t come here and act like a saint Harlow. If you cared about your father you would never have taken the company away from him. Away from us." Elisa screamed. But then she smiled.
The company was all she wanted. If she still had control of the diamond company. If Harlow hadn’t ruined their business with mere words, then they would have a lot.
"But no problem. But listen here, this mansion and everything Frank once owned is mine, so leave." Elisa added.
"How does it feel to have everything snatched away from you Harlow? Everything father owns, all of your inheritance have been taken away in the blink of an eye." Claudia started her speech and Harlow almost yawned.
"You took everything away from father?" Harlow asked faking to be shocked. She wanted to see the shocked look on their faces when they found out she already knew their plans and was ten steps ahead again this time.
"Everything we took is ours, Harlow. You’re left with nothing now, and it wouldn’t be long before I snatch the company away from you too." Claudia laughed.
"Where is father, where have you kept him?" Harlow’s voice was a bit raised as she stared at them.
"Does it matter?" Claudia asked.
"Do we look like your father’s keepers?" Elisa barked.
"Besides, he’s not my father, so how will I know?" She said sweetly.
Harlow shook her head as if in denial, "This is not true, father cannot give you the house and everything he owns, they belong to me and my mother." Harlow cried out like a wronged child, but that act alone elicited laughter from the people before her.
Mocking laughter rang from one side of her ear to the next. It reminded her so much of the past, the day her father died back then. That day Elisa had refused her into her father’s mansion, like today, claiming it was hers and Frank left nothing to Harlow’s name.
Harlow had blindly believed them due to her last feud with Frank. If she had known everything he owned was in her mother’s name, she would have fought back.
"Oh, silly child." Garth clicked her tongue.
"Go get your useless mother to come fight me. When you bring her, I will be waiting here." Everyone burst out laughing again at Elisa’s remark.
"Mother you want her to bring the rotten skeleton from the grave?" Claudia said in a sweet but mocking tone.
"You’re right Claudia," Elisa said. "I and your useless father are divorced and have nothing with each other again. You’re trespassing on private property now Harlow. So leave before I send the guards after you."
Harlow wiped imaginary tears from her eyes as she stared at them in disbelief. Even she had no idea she could act this way and she loved it.
"How does it feel to always lose Harlow." Claudia continued her taunt her. "You lost in our past life, and in this life too? You must be destined to lose." She laughed but Harlow only stared at her. Harlow’s eyes bore deep into her and slowly, an eerie smile spread across her lips.
She clapped. One loud clap which was accompanied by another and another.
"What a good show," Harlow said.
"On a scale of ten, rate my acting skills." She asked her sister.
"What is she talking about?" Claudia asked. She didn’t like what she was seeing, why was Harlow acting out again? Was she somehow sick in the head?
"Hmm, what is it?"
"Hey Harlow, mother-in-law asked you to leave, now do so before we throw you out."
"And like I said before, what gives you the right to throw me out of my property?" Harlow asked with a more firm tone this time scaring the people around her a little.
"You little thieves." She clicked her tongue. She has watched these silly thieves mock and act superior before her for a good few minutes. It was her turn to mock them back.
"You all are the ones trespassing on my property." Harlow turned to Elisa. "I’ve been waiting on your divorce with father for years." She smiled.
"You know what Elisa? You’re a big fool. Losing your only achievement in life because of your greed. Who says you own this mansion?" Elisa frowned.
Harlow must think this is a game. She will put this girl in her place and teach her a big lesson today.
"Harlow, stop embarrassing yourself even more and leave already. You should fight with your father for giving you inheritance out, and not take out your anger in Elisa." Garth spoke up.
"She caused it to herself mother. She turned against the family but still wanted a share of their wealth." Lia spoke for the first time.
