The Blessed Farm Girl Has a Spatial Storage-Chapter 344: The Pitiful Wei Zijian
344 Poor Wei Zijian
Zhao Zhitong laughed and said, "Don’t worry about it. You saved us too; it’s only right."
Sister-in-law Jin grabbed Zhao Zhitong’s arm and said with a smile, "Hey, don’t say that. We still need to thank you properly. You can stay here with peace of mind for the next few days."
After that, Zhao Zhitong and Qiao Muchen temporarily stayed with the Cao Yun. However, fearing Wei Shulan and the others would worry, Zhao Zhitong wrote a letter and had someone from the Cao Yun deliver it to them.
During their stay with the Cao Yun, word of Zhao Zhitong’s exceptional medical skills spread, and many from the organization came to seek her help for various ailments.
While Chief Jin’s wound was healing, she even performed a minor appendectomy on one of the Cao Yun men. That man’s appendix had become inflamed, causing him constant, unbearable pain. He had taken many medicines to no avail, but Zhao Zhitong had managed to completely eradicate the source of his suffering.
In no time, Zhao Zhitong’s reputation as a Divine Doctor spread throughout the Cao Yun. Since the Cao Yun operated throughout the Great Zhou Dynasty, her fame gradually extended beyond its ranks. Eventually, her reputation became legendary. Rumors claimed she could scrape bones to heal wounds, bring the dead back to life, and regenerate flesh on bare bones, prompting many to travel great distances seeking her aid.
Of course, all that happened much later. For now, her status within the Cao Yun was incredibly high.
Chief Jin’s injury improved significantly within a few days. Seeing his previously unhealing wound show such rapid improvement after Zhao Zhitong’s treatment put him in an excellent mood. Consequently, Chief Jin decided to take Zhao Zhitong as his sworn sister, asking her to call him Big Brother. He also gave her a Cao Yun token, promising that whenever she encountered any difficulties, she could present this token and mention his name. No matter which Cao Yun branch she was near, they would offer their full assistance!
Given that the Cao Yun’s influence extended throughout the entire Great Zhou Dynasty, this was an enormous gift. Zhao Zhitong was overwhelmed by the generosity. After surviving a shipwreck and gaining Chief Jin of the Cao Yun as a powerful ally, this ordeal had proven surprisingly rewarding.
「Once Chief Jin’s wound had fully healed, he arranged for Cao Yun members to personally escort Zhao Zhitong and Qiao Muchen to Suzhou City.」
Previously, Zhao Zhitong had sent a letter instructing Wei Shulan and the others to head to Suzhou first, where they would later rendezvous.
By now, Wei Shulan and the others should have arrived in Suzhou. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Zhao Zhitong couldn’t help but wonder aloud, "I wonder how they are doing now?"
Qiao Muchen replied, "Relax. With so many of them, what could possibly go wrong?"
Unfortunately for them, something had indeed gone wrong.
Not long after their group entered Suzhou City, they encountered pickpockets who stole all the silver they were carrying.
Wei Zijian said dejectedly, "Zhao Yu, with your martial arts skills, how did you not notice we encountered pickpockets?"
Zhao Yu, clutching his sword, shrugged helplessly.
Wei Shulan said to her brother, "Brother, you’re still blaming Zhao Yu? The money was on you! You were pickpocketed and didn’t even feel it?"
Wei Zijian whined, "That person just bumped into me! Who would have known they were a pickpocket?"
Zhao Yue sighed. "Alright, stop arguing. Our priority now is to get some money. Otherwise, I’m going to starve to death!"
Wei Shulan rolled her eyes. "Good, it’s time you lost some weight anyway. Hey, aren’t you supposed to be the Assistant Prefect? Why don’t you go assume your post?"
Zhao Yue said dejectedly, "The letter of appointment is with Qiao Muchen."
"Sigh!"
Everyone sighed in unison.
As they walked through the streets, the aroma of food occasionally wafted towards them, causing them to swallow involuntarily.
Wei Zijian mumbled, "I’m hungry."
Everyone else was silent, sighing and rubbing their stomachs.
At this moment, Wei Zijian suddenly had an idea. "Hey, I’ve thought of a way to make money!" he exclaimed.
Zhao Yue was skeptical. "What way?"
Wei Zijian excitedly explained, "Treating people! I can diagnose people, charge a consultation fee, and then we’ll have money to eat."
The more Wei Zijian thought about it, the more feasible the idea seemed, and he grew eager to try.
Zhao Yue patted Wei Zijian’s shoulder. "Good man. I have faith in you. Our meal money for today depends on you."
Wei Zijian confidently pounded his chest. "Don’t worry, leave it to me."
With that said, he began observing the people on the street.
Zhao Yue and the others didn’t actually pin their hopes on Wei Zijian. They huddled together to brainstorm other ideas.
Meanwhile, after scanning the crowd, Wei Zijian spotted someone who, judging by their attire, was wealthy. His eyes lit up, and he approached the man, whispering, "Sir, your face is flushed, and your vital energy seems to be surging upwards. You have symptoms of a stroke!"
Upon hearing this, the man, a stranger to Wei Zijian, glared at him. "What did you say?"
Wei Zijian leaned closer and said earnestly, "I’m saying you might have a stroke. I can..."
Before he could finish, the man’s attendants rushed forward and began punching and kicking Wei Zijian.
Stunned, Wei Zijian covered his head and yelled, "Why are you hitting me? Is there no law anymore?!"
The man snorted coldly. "I’m hitting you! What law? I *am* the law! Do you know who I am? How dare you spout such nonsense in front of me? Beat him harder!"
While dodging their fists, Wei Zijian shouted, "You’re being unreasonable! I’m a physician! I saw you were ill. If you don’t believe me, fine!"
"Pah! You charlatan! Trying to swindle me? You should open your eyes and see who I am first!"
Evidently, the man had mistaken Wei Zijian for a common street swindler.
His attendant chimed in arrogantly, "Exactly! This is the Second Master of the renowned Fei Clan of Suzhou, Mr. Fei!"
The Second Master Fei kicked the attendant’s backside. "You imbecile! What ’Mr. Fei’? Call me Sir Fei!"
"Yes, yes, Sec— ah, no, Sir Fei, Sir Fei," the attendant immediately said, bowing and scraping with an obsequious smile.
Then, he turned to Wei Zijian, who was still cowering on the ground, covering his head. "It’s your bad luck to try and deceive our astute Sir Fei! If you dare spout any more nonsense, we’ll have your tongue!"
The attendants beside Second Master Fei kicked at Wei Zijian as they spoke. Wei Zijian muttered under his breath, then suddenly jumped up, pushed them aside, and fled.

Just as Zhao Yue and the others were still trying to figure out how to get some money, they saw Wei Zijian stagger back, clutching his stomach.
Seeing his wretched state, Zhao Yue nearly burst out laughing. "Well, Wei Zijian, what happened to you? Weren’t you going to earn money by treating patients?"
Extremely frustrated, Wei Zijian gritted his teeth and recounted what had happened.
"How can that man be so tyrannical? If he didn’t want treatment, fine, but why beat me up? And he even said he *is* the law!"
Everyone was silent.
Zhao Yue was speechless. "You really are clueless sometimes. They didn’t know you were a physician; they probably thought you were cursing them."
"Besides, even if you’re trying to swindle someone, you need to be a better judge of character."
And this fool specifically targeted well-dressed, wealthy individuals. How many of those rich folk are easy to provoke?
