The Broken Angel & Her Overprotective Brothers-Chapter 326: Domenic X Fae King
Domenic’s Office
~
"How about you leave too, Your Majesty?" Domenic suggested as soon as Emily and Shadow left his office. He was the least bit keen to be in the same room with the Fae King, not because he feared the latter but basically because he didn’t trust himself around the man who seemed to possess a weird sort of control over him which had everything to do with the soulmate bond that they shared.
A smirk appeared on the Fae King’s lips as he stood up from his seat and headed toward Domenic, stopping only when he was standing right in front of the latter. Keeping the smirk intact on his lips, he placed one of his hands against the backrest of the couch before bending his body to close some of the distance between himself and the haughty CEO.
"What’s the rush? It’s not like I leave the sanctuary of my realm often. But I still did it just to meet you. Shouldn’t you be treating me at least a little bit more softly... more kindly?" His voice was like the softest whisper as his warm breath fanned Domenic’s face, causing shivers to run down the latter’s body.
"Move aside." Domenic tried to push away the King and get away from the man but his action turned out to be a grave mistake as the Fae King lost his hold on the couch and it made him land right into Domenic’s arms.
Instead of getting up, the shameless Fae adjusted himself on Domenic’s lap to get comfortable before he wrapped both his arms around the latter’s shoulders and locked his fingers together behind his neck.
"What are you doing?" The always calm and collected Domenic Alessandro was suddenly left flabbergasted and anxious as he hurriedly turned his attention toward his office’s door to see if anyone was about to enter.
"Relax, my love, no one is going to disturb us." The Fae King whispered in Domenic’s ear as he pulled the man’s attention back to him with his thumb and forefinger locked on his chin.
"Your Majesty..." Domenic tried to speak but didn’t get the chance as the Fae stopped him with a finger on his lips. Once he was assured that Domenic was not going to speak, his finger started moving. It brushed over his lower lip before trailing down to his chin and throat and then finally coming to a stop over the button of his white shirt.
Domenic had long discarded his coat and tie. The upper two buttons of his shirt were left open and his sleeves were rolled up to his elbow. Finding the Fae King suddenly toying with the third button of his shirt, he suddenly missed the protection of his tie and the coat.
"You were also wearing a white shirt back then... when we spent the night together ten years ago." The Fae King whispered as he moved his face closer to Domenic’s, causing the man to press himself against the back of the couch to keep as much space between their faces as possible. This only amused the fae further.
The more reluctant Domenic seemed, the more Fae King’s soul reacted to win his mate’s heart and acceptance. A fae loved chasing his/her love, they enjoyed challenges the most, especially if they came from someone of great importance.
"I have no time to talk about the past, Your Majesty." Domenic hurriedly spoke as he tried to push away the man but failed somehow, the man didn’t even budge a little bit. Since both of them were almost of similar built, it was definitely the latter’s fae powers that were giving him the upper hand.
"Don’t use your powers on me." Domenic’s voice was filled with the same strength and command that the world was used to, probably because the idea of being at the Fae King’s mercy just because of the latter’s powers made his blood boil in anger.
A smirk appeared on the Fae King’s luscious lips as he responded, "Trust me, my love. If I really have used my powers, you wouldn’t have been able to resist at all. You would have begged me to take you right here, right now... and would have never wanted to stay away from me even for a second."
Domenic suddenly found his throat drying up as he felt the truth in the Fae King’s voice and his mesmerizing eyes that seemed to be staring right into his soul.
"But..." The Fae King’s demeanor changed all of a sudden, returning to the playful character that he usually possessed. "... no matter how much I want you to accept me with open arms and let me pleasure you like that’s the only thing you want, I want it to happen naturally, not because of my powers. So, don’t worry about me ever using my powers to make you do anything against your will. I’m your mate, Domenic, I will never even dream to do something like that to you."
It almost sounded like a promise, a promise that made something flutter inside Domenic in the most beautiful way possible but at the very same time, it scared him. He couldn’t allow things to get out of control. That was not in his plans.
He took in a deep breath and once again pushed the man, and somehow, he succeeded this time as the Fae King stepped away, allowing him to stand up and move away from the couches. He headed toward his office desk as he spoke, "I’m sorry for disappointing you, Your Majesty, but I have no plans of having a romantic relationship with anyone... neither now nor in the future. I’ll suggest you to stop wasting your precious time."
"Are you rejecting me, Domenic?" 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
The sudden question made Domenic’s hands come to a still as he was in the middle of sorting the files on his desk. His heart suddenly started racing as the heaviness of the word ’rejecting’ dawned over him.
The Fae King was suddenly standing right behind him, his mouth placed next to Domenic’s ears as he whispered, "You can’t bear to do that, right? Good, because I will never let you do that. Never!"
And with that promise... he was gone!
