After Domenic and Aleron’s wedding, it was all about happy occasions left and right in the Alessandro Mansion. Four and a half months later, Annika gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy, bringing immense joy in the lives of the Alessandros.
An year after Domenic and Aleron’s wedding, the duo decided to have their first baby through surrogacy. Two months after this announcement, Crist married his girlfriend and Mark announced his relationship with his childhood sweetheart whom he recently got reunited with.
Not long after, Shane also married his mate while Leo and Rylan got engaged. Finally, the Alessandro’s welcomed Domenic and Aleron’s baby girl merely a week before Christmas.
The Christmas and New Year holidays were filled with joy and celebration, uniting all the families and friends together as they became a part in each other’s happiness.
It was the second day of the new year when Kaiden asked Emily out for a date. The duo spent the day making beautiful memories together. They first went to a pottery class to make pottery, the experience was both new and exciting. Then they had lunch at a local restaurant.
After having ice-creams, they headed to watch a movie in the theater before having a shopping spree where Emily mostly spent her money buying things for her nephew and nieces.
Finally, as the sun went down the horizon and evening arrived, the duo found themselves sitting on the open terrace of a restaurant with the beautiful view of the bustling city and the mountains standing outside the city.
The warm glow of candlelight flickered across the area, casting gentle shadows on the white linen tablecloth. The winter evening was cold, yet, the place was filled with warmth as the duo enjoyed each other’s company.
Emily looked really stunning in her sapphire blue dress that was mostly hidden under the white fur overcoat she was wearing to keep herself warm. If they would have booked a room inside, she could have taken off her overcoat. However, being on the terrace stopped her from showcasing one of her favorite dresses.
She sipped her wine, savoring the rich flavor as she gazed at Kaiden, who seemed unusually pensive ever since they settled down at the table. He wore a well-tailored suit that complemented his athletic frame, his long silver hair neatly styled.
"Everything okay?" Emily asked, a hint of concern in her voice. "You seem a little distracted all of a sudden."
Kaiden smiled, a warm, reassuring smile that made Emily’s heart flutter. "I’m more than okay," he said, reaching across the table to take her hand. "In fact, I’ve never been better."
Emily’s curiosity was piqued, but before she could ask more, their waiter arrived with the main course. The dishes were exquisite, a symphony of flavors and colors. She marveled at the culinary artistry, her worries momentarily forgotten.
As they enjoyed their meal, Kaiden kept glancing at his watch, his demeanor growing more anxious. Finally, as the dessert—a decadent chocolate soufflé—was served, he took a deep breath.
"Angel," he began, his voice steady but filled with emotion, "there’s something very important I want to say."
Emily set down her fork, her full attention now on him. "What is it, Kaiden?"
He stood up, moving his chair aside, and then knelt before her. Emily’s heart skipped a beat as she realized what was happening. The world around them seemed to blur as the two of them became eact other’s centre of attention.
"Emilia Alessandro, from the moment I met you, my life has been brighter, fuller, and filled with more love than I ever thought possible. You are my soulmate, my confidante, and my greatest love. Every day with you is like an adventure, and I can’t imagine facing the future without you by my side."
He pulled out a small dark blue velvet box from his pocket and opened it to reveal a stunning diamond ring. The gemstone caught the candlelight, sparkling like the stars overhead.
"Will you marry me?" Kaiden’s voice was soft but firm, his eyes never leaving hers.
Tears welled up in Emily’s eyes as she looked at the ring, then back at Kaiden. Her heart was pounding, and her hands trembled slightly as she covered her mouth in shock.
"Oh, Kaiden," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "Yes, yes, a thousand times yes!"
Kaiden slipped the ring onto her finger, a perfect fit. He rose to his feet, and Emily stood as well, throwing her arms around him. They kissed, a tender and passionate embrace that felt like the culmination of their shared journey and the beginning of a new Chapter.
Around them, the staff of the restaurant, who was present there to witness the moment, applauded. A chorus of congratulations and well-wishes filled the air. Emily and Kaiden pulled apart, laughing and blushing, the joy between them palpable.
As they sat back down, still holding hands, Kaiden looked into Emily’s eyes and said, "You’ve made me the happiest man alive."
Emily smiled, her heart overflowing with love. "And you’ve made me the happiest woman. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
The rest of the evening passed in a blissful haze. They toasted to their future, shared dreams and plans, and reveled in the happiness of the moment. The city lights below seemed to shine a little brighter, the stars above twinkling a little more cheerfully, as if the universe itself was celebrating their love.
As they left the restaurant hand in hand, Emily glanced back at the terrace, the place where her life had just changed forever. She felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and excitement, knowing that this was just the beginning of a beautiful journey together with the man she loved.
The night was perfect, and as they walked into their future, Emily knew that no matter what challenges they faced, they would face them together, united by the love and shared pain that had brought them to this magical moment under the starlit sky.
