The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 110: He Doesn’t Want to Let Her Go
"Seems like you have some sense after all."
Yelena Hughes was blown by the wind, her hair was all disheveled, and the ends brushed against her cheeks.
She quickly reached out her hand.
Jasper Yale pretended not to understand, grasped her hand, and pulled her over.
She didn’t stand firm, her body lunged forward, and Yelena Hughes bumped into Jasper Yale’s chest, scaring her into retreating.
"Young master, don’t..."
Could Nancy Alden still be sitting in the car?
Jasper Yale placed his palm on her lower back, "Don’t move, that Mr. Warren is out here looking for you."
Yelena Hughes only listens so obediently when she’s threatened.
She tightened her back, her small face resting on his shoulder, her eyes too afraid to move.
"Has he left?"
"No, he’s staring this way."
This isn’t good, her outfit is eye-catching enough.
Dean Holloway sat in the car, had waited for Yelena Hughes to come out, only to see her holding Jasper Yale.
What’s going on?
In broad daylight, with so many people around.
Dean Holloway honked the horn, Yelena Hughes didn’t hear it, but it caught Jasper Yale’s attention.
Dean Holloway quickly leaned his face on the steering wheel as Jasper Yale’s arm moved up, hugging Yelena Hughes tightly into his embrace.
"So soft."
She quickly broke free from his embrace, Yelena Hughes looked back sneakily, no sign of Young Master Warren.
She reached out her hand, Jasper Yale drew a circle in her palm with his finger, "What?"
"My brooch."
He didn’t tease her and gave it to her after taking it out.
Yelena Hughes held it like it was a treasure, and Jasper Yale had promised Nancy Alden, not intending to break his word.
After he got into the car, Yelena Hughes saw that Jasper Yale was alone in the back seat.
"Goodbye, young master."
"Yelena Hughes, that bastard is no good, are you borrowing courage from heaven? Have you forgotten about Felix Wood’s incident?"
Yelena Hughes leaned her arm on the car roof, bending over, her shirt buttons about to burst open, yet she herself hadn’t noticed.
"Our boss said, I’m only responsible for getting the news, the rest he’ll handle."
The fact that Yelena Hughes dared to charge forward without hesitation, with articles being smoothly published, showed that her boss had some clout.
"However, no matter how great my boss is, he’s not as formidable as you, young master. With you protecting me, I’m not afraid of anything."
This made Jasper Yale feel quite flattered, "Head back."
"Alright."
Yelena Hughes closed the car door for him, watching as the car slowly drove away from the restaurant.
If it were before, Jasper Yale would have definitely left with Nancy Alden without a moment’s hesitation.
But just now, he had a strange thought, wanting to wait there to see if she would be surprised and delighted to see him, and he wanted to hug her.
Dean Holloway watched as that cold-faced man left, only then did he drive his car beside Yelena Hughes.
"Get in quickly."
Yelena Hughes opened the passenger door. "I thought you’d left."
"How could I not care about your well-being?"
She appeared relaxed, carefully putting away the brooch, and Dean Holloway, seeing her expression, knew that tonight’s plan had succeeded.
"You’ve got quite a knack, wearing this outfit looks appropriate, but... why were you hugging the young master?"
Yelena Hughes lifted her head slightly, "Was I?"
"You think I’m blind?"
"Don’t gossip, it’s no good for you."
"..." Dean Holloway felt like their friendship was wasted.
He reached for the side, took out two tickets, "I still think about you every day, here you go."
"What are these?"
"Didn’t you say Anne’s health is recovering well? Poor girl, she’s never had a good few days since childhood. These are cinema passes, I got them from a friend of mine."
Yelena Hughes took them, touched by the gesture, "Thank you, Dean."
"Some good movies are showing now, take her to see them."
"Okay."
Anne Hughes had never been to a cinema because, firstly, she couldn’t bear to spend the money, and secondly, the cinema noise was too loud, Yelena used to fear she couldn’t handle it.
Yelena carefully put the tickets away and, after getting home, told Anne about it.
"Anne, when I have a break, I’ll take you."
Anne Hughes was curled up in bed, the blanket pulled above her shoulders, only her head exposed, "Sister, what’s the difference between watching in a cinema and our TV at home?"
"There’s a big difference, you’ve never been, Anne." Yelena Hughes sat by the bed, noticing her spirit seemed low these past few days. "Did you not sleep well again? Anne, do the meds still work?"
"They do." Anne didn’t want to dampen Yelena’s excitement, but she lived in fear every day that something might happen.
This constant fear felt like it was dragging Anne back into a nightmare, she was really frightened.
On Yelena’s day off, they went out early in the morning.
She dressed Anne in new clothes, the two cinema passes allowed them to watch from morning till late at night, with no restrictions.
Yelena bought popcorn and cola when they entered the screening room, finding it empty, a private viewing.
Even better.
The first movie was a comedy, Anne laughed uncontrollably holding her popcorn bucket, with no one else around, she laughed so hard she was stomping.
Yelena Hughes smiled along, this looked like how a girl her age should be.
At noon they casually ate something at the cinema, rested a bit, then Yelena picked a romance movie.
It was strange today, apart from the cinema staff, Yelena hadn’t seen any other viewers.
Midway through the movie, Anne put down her milk tea.
"Sis, I’m going to the bathroom."
"I’ll go with you."
"No need, it’s just nearby, I know my way."
Anne Hughes got up and left the theater, entering the restroom and unexpectedly saw a woman washing her hands.
Her attention turned to the wheelchair the woman sat on, Anne didn’t think much of it, was about to continue, but then the woman spoke, "You’re tall and slender, what a nice figure you have."
Anne’s face turned pale instantly, her breaths became rapid.
Nancy Alden finished washing her hands, wheeled over to Anne, and lifted her new clothes to dry her hands.
Yelena Hughes waited a while in the auditorium, feeling uneasy, she got up to find her sister.
As soon as she reached the door, she heard a noise from outside.
"Who are you? What do you want?"
She reached the hallway, seeing Anne huddled by the wall.
Yelena rushed over, shielding Anne, "What are you doing?"
Only then did she realize the person opposite was Nancy Alden.
Josephine had made a call, saying there was trouble here, Nancy Alden stared intensely at Yelena, her eyes showing hatred.
"Isn’t this Miss Hughes? And who is this behind you?"
Jasper Yale had just come out from the next hall, at the sight of Yelena, his eyes turned stern and cold.
