Li An’an felt guilty. She didn’t barge in on purpose. She was only eavesdropping out of curiosity.
“Butler Chu asked me to deliver water. I accidentally stumbled in.”
Even so, how could Bai Feifei throw that glass at her? Such a huge glass would kill her!
The butler asked Chu Yichen.
“Young Master, which of them has angered you?”
Chu Yichen pulled open the curtains to let in the light from the lamps in the garden. He looked coldly at the glass of juice on the table.
“Send the juice for testing. I want to know the results right away.”
He was certain. When Bai Feifei brought in the juice, she had a sneaky look in her eyes. Coupled with her subsequent behavior, there must have been something added to it. However, she didn’t know that he didn’t like to drink beverages like these. He only liked to drink water.
Butler Chu immediately took the juice and handed it to the person beside him to send for testing.
Bai Feifei’s body trembled and her face turned pale. Chu Yichen didn’t drink the juice? She hadn’t noticed, because it was blocked by something just now.
Fearing the consequences of being exposed, she pretended to faint. She knew Chu Yichen’s methods, and he would never let her off lightly. She didn’t want to get into trouble.
No one in the room reacted to Bai Feifei’s swoon.
Chu Yichen sat on the sofa in the bedroom with his legs crossed, waiting expressionlessly for the test results.
Even Li An’an felt fearful.
What was going on? There was something wrong with the juice. Did Bai Feifei spike the juice in order to seduce Chu Yichen? But it seemed to have failed. She wondered how Chu Yichen would punish her. She really wanted to see Bai Feifei suffer!
A Few Minutes Later
Butler Chu was back.
“Young Master, there’s an aphrodisiac in the juice. It’s a very strong one.”
Chu Yichen’s eyes turned glacial when he heard this.
“Force it down her throat, and throw her at the Bai family’s door.”
The Bai family’s villa was in a bustling area, so it would cause a significant commotion. This would teach them a lesson.
“Yes, sir.”
Butler Chu went to pull Bai Feifei up.
Bai Feifei, who was pretending to be unconscious, woke up immediately and screamed in fear.
“No, Yichen, I love you! I only did this because I love you too much! Can you forgive me? I simply love you too much! I won’t do it again!”
“Sob, sob…”
Bai Feifei’s pleas were futile. Butler Chu forced her to drink the entire glass of apple juice. She resisted, but it was useless.
Chu Yichen waited coldly for her to finish every last drop, then waved his hand.
“Don’t ever let her appear in front of me again.”
His brown eyes were filled with savage ruthlessness.
Butler Chu covered Bai Feifei’s mouth and dragged her out.
Only Li An’an and Chu Yichen were left in the room.
Li An’an trembled.
She didn’t expect Chu Yichen to be so terrifying. What about her? She had dirtied his carpet.
She tried to walk out quietly.
One step, two steps, three steps.
Chu Yichen’s voice rang out from behind her and made her freeze.
“Replace everything right now,” he said, disgusted by the filth.
Li An’an nodded hastily.
“Yes, sir. I’ll change it immediately.”
She quickly ran downstairs. That was close. Seriously, she was only supposed to deliver a glass of water, not get dragged into an undeserved calamity.
By the time she arrived downstairs, Bai Feifei had already been dragged into the car. The other servants in the house did not even dare to take an audible breath.
Li An’an relayed Chu Yichen’s message to the butler. All she could think of was how to leave this place.
Chu Yichen was a terrifying person. She should not stay here for long.
She could take on more work in order to return the money.
“Li An’an, you don’t look well. Are you sick?” Butler Chu asked.
Li An’an immediately clutched her head. “Yes, Butler Chu. I seem to have fallen ill. I can’t come in tomorrow. I’m afraid I’ll infect the people in the house. Believe me, I do actually want to work hard!”
