The CEO's Wife Is Super Charming-Chapter 331 - 328: I Won’t Forgive You
"What?"
Elliana Lyle suddenly raised her face to look at the man, for a moment thinking she had misheard.
Send her to XRB? What would she do there?
The man reached out and touched her head gently, saying, "You can take some time to relax over there, Luna Sutton is also there, she can accompany you."
Elliana: "..."
What should she say? She didn’t really want to go. After all, she had never been abroad and hadn’t found any clues about Nancy. She didn’t want to go anywhere.
Just as she was about to shake her head, she heard the man say, "Raymond Wood has already booked your ticket for tomorrow morning, be good."
"What do you mean?" she suddenly became a little angry.
Why send her to XRB? And even book a ticket for her without her consent?
"Be good, I’ll pick you up once I’m done." The man’s warm hand covered the side of her face, his actions gentle and meticulous.
From his eyes, she could only see infinite overflowing tenderness; she couldn’t even discern his emotions.
Immediately shaking her head, she pushed the man’s hand away: "I’m not going!"
Seeing her upset, Norman Bennett continued to patiently coax her: "Elliana, be good, okay?"
"Then tell me why!" She stared into his eyes, hoping he would say something to her.
... I want to know.
"Be obedient." The man’s tone sank a little, as if he was angry, yet as if he was not.
She felt a mix of emotions inside her, an indescribable feeling, at times even feeling that Norman Bennett wasn’t the Norman she knew.
"I want to find Nancy, I..."
Before she could finish speaking, the man took the bowl of porridge from her hands and set it aside, effortlessly lifting her up.
Eventually, she naturally fell into his embrace.
In his presence, she felt like a helpless kitten, entirely at his mercy.
"Norman Bennett~ I don’t want to go... I..."
Ugh~
The man’s eyes were a bit cold, even his kisses felt invasive, she struggled, clutching onto his sleeve, trying to push him away.
However, her strength had no effect whatsoever.
"Don’t... Norman Bennett, don’t..."
She was toppled onto the bed.
She was forced to give up everything she had.
The time dragged on for a long while, as long as a never-ending dark night, she loved him, truly loved him.
Yet at the same time, angry at him.
...
The person lying on the bed had eyes that were like a lifeless doll.
The "marks" on her neck looked a little frightening.
He had never treated her like this before, never had.
And the man’s back had red marks left by her nails, he carefully held her and finally walked towards the bathroom.
...
--- Nighttime.
Elliana Lyle still nestled in the man’s embrace, her whole body soft and limp, as though she had no bones.
She watched the man busy on his laptop, the sound of his elegant and slender fingers tapping on the keys was quite pleasant.
"Norman Bennett, do you not love me anymore?"
This sentence was asked in the softest whisper, as if it were a murmur she thought no one else could hear.
The man seemed to hear it, his fingers stopped typing, and he tapped her nose with his fingertip.
"Be good, don’t let your imagination run wild, your husband made a mistake this afternoon, don’t be mad at him, okay?"
His tone was unprecedentedly gentle, he admitted his mistake, and had even patiently coaxed her the entire afternoon.
"I don’t forgive you." She bit her lower lip and turned her head away.
If she didn’t owe him anything, perhaps now she could rightfully say the words "I’m not going."
