Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Class Two Throws Away Their Face

When everyone saw Ivan following along, they cursed him shamelessly.

"Damn it, the bastards from Class 2, utterly shameless."

"Whatever happened to fair competition? Cheater."

"How dare they strike first, they have no shame." freёnovelkiss.com

"Class 2 has lost all face."

"I’ve never seen someone so shameless."

The cursing was omnipresent, with many people shouting to take down the shameless Ivan and to set things right.

Yet the person being cursed just smiled warmly, beaming as if the insults weren’t directed at him at all.

Lin Fu now understood why Ivan was chosen as the captain, and Mervin was the vice-captain—only someone who could remain calm and smile in the face of universal contempt was no ordinary person.

She had initially been deceived by Ivan’s shyness.

This guy was hardcore, too.

"Lin Fu, my dear, I’m here." Nolan approached warmly, but his face turned as black as the bottom of a pot when he saw Ivan. Elbowing Ivan aside, he said, "Lin Fu, join our team! Trust me, you won’t regret it if you join us. We’ll become the best of partners, comrades, and you can confidently watch each other’s backs."

"But I’ve already agreed to Ivan," Lin Fu’s heart was leaning more towards Mervin.

Nolan lowered his voice and spoke mysteriously, "Believe me, I won’t lead you astray. Mervin from Class 2 has a slew of problems. Joining his team will only drag you down and be of no benefit to your academic or professional prospects."

"Ivan, don’t talk behind our backs about Mervin," Ivan reminded him.

"Do you not know if it’s true or not?" Nolan retorted irritably, then continued to persuade Lin Fu, "Some things I can’t say outright, but I’ll tell you one thing, and you’ll understand. Mervin was chased to school; if it weren’t for the school guard team coming to the rescue, he might have been dead by now. With that kind of trouble, he’s not right for you."

Looking into Nolan’s sincere eyes, Lin Fu knew he wasn’t lying to her.

For a moment, she was swayed, but then she remembered how Mervin had stood in front of her when she faced the scoffs and jeers of the people after leaving the detention room. That flicker of doubt quickly solidified.

"If you think Nolan is too annoying, you could consider joining my team," a cold voice said from behind.

Both of them turned around.

"Celia." Nolan said with irritation, "Why are you joining the chaos too? Isn’t your team only taking men?" After speaking, he leaned in and whispered to Lin Fu, "Don’t be fooled. Celia is not a good person. Her team only picks out good-looking guys, and she acts like the queen in her team."

Lin Fu’s eyes lit up.

Nolan immediately had an ominous feeling.

"So it’s possible to do that? If I knew earlier, I would have formed a male pet group full of handsome guys."

Nolan was stunned.

Ivan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Only Celia, watching Lin Fu with increasingly complex eyes.

"How about it? Lin Fu, if you join my team, you will be our princess."

The words from Celia surprised both Nolan and Ivan—it wasn’t characteristic of the proud, independent Celia who dared to defy Princess Therese.

Lin Fu and Celia locked eyes, and for a moment, neither spoke.

It wasn’t until Nolan rudely stepped in that the moment was broken.

"No thanks, once I’ve made my choice, I never change it." Lin Fu smiled subtly and nodded to Ivan, "Captain, shall we?"

Ivan emerged victoriously from between the two rivals, merrily leading Lin Fu away.
