Chapter 45: The Massacre

Just as their patience began to decrease, a sight appeared in the distance behind me—A group of ten men, their faces adorned with wicked grins, held an array of menacing weapons—hammers, scissors, baseball bats, and metal pipes. With an unsettling arrogance, they slowly approached me. They positioned themselves intentionally behind me, forming a demonic presence. A mischievous, almost triumphant glint flickered in my eyes, as I knew this will end in a massacre.

"Fucking finally, you came." I exclaimed, unable to contain my excitement. A mischievous grin spread across my face as I surveyed the scene.

Eva's expression was a mix of shock and uncertainty as I motioned for her to stand behind us, instructing her to watch the show.

The ex began to slowly step backward, raising his hands with the palm facing outward, he spoke intending to communicate. His words were accompanied by a fake confidence, "Hahaha, there seems to be a misunderstanding. You can have her if you wa-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Darjan swiftly swung a baseball bat, connecting with the ex's face with a sickening crack. The impact sent him sprawling to the ground, motionless.

His many friends, consumed by fear, immediately scattered, attempting to flee. My boys and I gave chase, ruthlessly striking them from behind cracking their head, back, legs whatever we could hit. Blow after blow landed with ruthlessness, causing them to stumble and collapse, their bodies falling like dead bodies. The park erupted with screams from mothers and children witnessing the massacre, some fleeing in sheer terror. Chaos reigned as we pursued them through the park, our actions drowned out by the cacophony of screams.

Eventually, the distant wail of police sirens reached our ears. "The police are coming!!!" one of my men screamed.

Grabbing Eva's hand tightly, I began sprinting, urging her to match my pace. In frustration, I couldn't help but notice her sluggishness. She seemed so fucking slow compared to my adrenaline-fueled speed.

All the boys scattered in different directions, leaving behind trails marked by our bloody weapons. Coincidentally, Darjan and I found ourselves running in the same direction. Amidst the sprint, I turned my head towards Darjan, a wide grin stretching across my face.

"HAHAHAHA, it's just like when we first met!" I shouted, laughter bubbling uncontrollably. Tears streamed down my face, overwhelmed by the sheer exhilaration of the moment. "Yes! This is why I started all this shit! I'm having so much fucking fun!"

"YEAA!" Darjan screamed at the top of his lungs, matching my energy.

Eva looked at me in terror, her mouth agape.

With snot and tears covering my face, I turned my gaze towards her, wearing a wide smile and crazy laughter, "Isn't this fucking fun?" Then, in a sudden shift, I commanded, "Go fucking home!" Letting go of her hand, I sprinted towards my own home.

Fortunately, no one was apprehended that day. The blood trails eventually ceased, preventing them from tracking us.

Back home, with trembling legs, I collapsed onto the toilet seat, relieving myself as I found myself struggling to contain the uncontrollable laughter that threatened to burst forth. With my hands pressed against my mouth, I attempted to stifle the laughter, desperately trying to maintain some semblance of composure.

Despite sleeping until 3 PM that day, exhaustion overcame me before the moon even graced the sky, making me fall asleep.

The following morning was Monday, and I begrudgingly prepared myself for school. During a class period, a text message from Eva interrupted my thoughts.

"Dionis, come to my house today."

"Ok, sure, I'll drop by after school," I responded, my mind swirling with curiosity. "What the fuck does she want from me? Inviting me to her house all of a sudden." I couldn't help but feel intrigued, as I had never been to her house before.

Borce, seated next to me, caught a glimpse of the text message on my phone and couldn't resist making a comment. "Uuu, Dionis, since when do you have a girlfriend?"

"She's not my girlfriend, dude," I retorted, dismissing his assumption.

"Yea right, going to her house so casually means only one thing," he teased, raising an eyebrow suggestively.

"Hmm, I guess it could be interpreted that way. But I just enjoy spending time with her; I don't really care about her emotionally,"

"If you enjoy spending time with her, then you have some emotional connection with her," Borce persisted, poking holes in my argument.

"Maybe, but it's unlikely. I won't let myself love outsiders," I explained.

"Pfhh, acting like some sort of mafia boss with a lot of enemies," Borce scoffed

"Sigh, shut up and leave me alone."

His enthusiastic demeanor quickly turned to disappointment as I showed no interest in entertaining him during our mind-numbingly boring class.

After enduring a few more hours of tedium, school finally ended, and I made my way to Eva's house.

As I approached her front door, I couldn't help but notice the distinct difference in the neighborhood. In a town like Trbovlje, where most of the population resided in apartment blocks like mine, her residence set her apart as part of the high-class stratum. With a mixture of anticipation and curiosity, I proceeded to knock on the door, awaiting her response.

Eva calmly opened the door, greeting me with a warm smile. "Oh, hi Dionis, come in," She welcomed, making way for me to enter.

"Nice house, bro," I complimented her, slipping off my shoes.

"Bro?" she muttered softly, her words escaping my notice.

"You alright?" I asked, sensing a trace of sadness on her face.

She quickly shook her head, plastering on a wide smile.

I made my way to the couch and settled down, noticing a pleasant aroma wafting through the air. "Your mother home? What is she cooking?" I inquired as Eva disappeared into another room.

"Nope, I'm cooking," she replied.

"Really? Damn, is there anything you can't do? Hahahaha," I marveled at her skills.

"Fight off 20 men like you did, hahahah," she joked from the kitchen. "Come, the food is ready. You're probably hungry since the food in school is absolutely garbage."

"Yeah, hahah," I chuckled, rising from the couch and going to the kitchen.

The table was adorned with an array of dishes. Eyes widening, I settled at the table and asked, "How long did it take you to make all this? Didn't you go to school today?"

Taking her seat, she replied, kinda pitiful "No, I stayed home today and cleared my mind with cooking. It's really relaxing for me."

Concerned, I pressed further, "Are you alright, Eva?"

She quietly took her spoon and began eating her soup, which left me feeling puzzled and annoyed at her for not responding to my question. However, my confusion quickly transformed into concern as tears streamed down her face, mixing with the soup, her hands trembling uncontrollably. "I was... I was so scared, Dionis. If you hadn't been there, I don't even want to imagine what they would've done to me."

"Wow, wow, wow, calm down, Eva," I urged, trying to comfort her. "Why are you crying? The problem has been solved. Umm Look, don't look behind, as the past will eat you instead look forward and keep looking forward."

"Ye...Yea" she sniffed, wiping away her tears. "Thank you, Dionis. Even if things don't work out for us in the future, I'll never forget about you."

" 'Won't work out' What she talking about?" I silently pondered, confused by her words.

"Hahahah, same," I pretended to understand

After finishing our meal in silence, my belly so full it felt as if it might burst, I let out a burp and thanked Eva for the food.

She shyly invited me to her bedroom to "watch TV," and naively, I followed, assuming she had an interesting film to show me.

Entering her bedroom, I jumped onto the bed, and she joined me. She turned on the television and selected a random movie.

Quietly, we began watching the film. I noticed her stealing glances at my face, but I didn't think much of it until, halfway through the movie, she suddenly grabbed my cheeks and kissed me.

Stunned, I wiped my lips in confusion, but before I could react, she hugged me tightly and continued to kiss me.

After a while, she placed her hands on my groin and started rubbing me through my trousers. Overwhelmed by the strangeness of the situation, I couldn't think clearly, my mind filled with the bewildered thought, "What the fuck is going on?" Eventually, I came to a realization and murmured, "Oh."

Quietly, I pushed her away, causing her to lie back on the bed. I slowly removed my shirt and tossed it across the room. "Lets fucking do this then!" I exclaimed, my excitement bubbling over, a wide smile etched across my face.

For a couple of hours, we engaged in passionate intimacy, our bodies moving together like wild animals. Eventually, she begged me to stop, and I obliged, my sweaty body collapsing as I lay down beside her. "That was fun," I remarked, catching my breath.

"Hahaha, yeah," she replied, placing her hand on my cheek and admiring my face.

I found the staring cringe, and so I quickly stood up and ran to the bathroom butt naked, to take a shower. While showering, I was dancing and singing out of excitement.

...

...

One week passed since that eventful encounter.

I was at the store, picking up groceries for my mother. Engrossed in reading the back of a spaghetti package, my annoyance grew as my phone suddenly began to ring. I hastily returned the spaghetti to the shelf and retrieved my phone from my pocket, glancing at the caller ID. To my surprise, it was Adem calling...
