The Destiny Villainess Wants Me To Work!-Chapter 81: Gunshot? Nope! A Sneeze!
Leng Shuang’s lips immediately curled upward.
"I was waiting for you to say that, Master."
Her tone carried obvious excitement, as if she had just been permitted to release her true nature.
Seeing their strange reaction, Wen Hang frowned.
"Are you two scared stupid?" he said with narrowed eyes. "What riddles are you playing at?"
Leng Shuang slowly stepped forward, twisting her knuckles as the joints cracked softly.
Her eyes were fixed on Wen Hang with an eager expression.
"Oh? You want riddles?"
She tilted her head slightly.
"Then let me ask you one."
Wen Hang looked at her impatiently but didn’t lower the gun.
"A man with a gun... and a handsome man," Leng Shuang said casually. "Which one is stronger?"
Wen Hang didn’t even need to think.
"The one with the gun," he answered with an arrogant smirk.
Leng Shuang shook her head.
"Wrong."
Her smile widened slightly.
"The stronger one is naturally my master."
Before the last word had fully left her mouth, her body suddenly moved. Leng Shuang shot forward like a released arrow. Her speed was so fast that Wen Hang’s pupils shrank instinctively.
Startled, he immediately pulled the trigger.
*Bang!*
The gunshot echoed sharply inside the office. However, the bullet didn’t hit its target.
Leng Shuang had already twisted her body the moment he fired. The bullet cut through empty air as she slipped past its trajectory with astonishing reflexes and prediction.
In the next instant, she was already in front of him.
Her movements were as swift and decisive as a hunting cheetah closing in on its prey.
Wen Hang’s heart skipped a beat. He tried to adjust his aim and fire again—
But he was too slow.
Leng Shuang grabbed his wrist before he could pull the trigger a second time. With a sharp twist, his arm bent unnaturally.
"Ah—!"
The gun slipped from his hand as pain shot through his arm.
Before he could even react, Leng Shuang drove a punch straight into his stomach. The force of the blow was terrifying.
Wen Hang’s body folded instantly and flung back by the impact, pushing the sofa along. Blood sprayed from his mouth as his eyes rolled back.
He collapsed onto the sofa and slid down to the floor, completely unconscious.
The entire confrontation had lasted less than three seconds.
Leng Shuang casually dusted off her hands as if she had just finished a trivial task. Well, for her, it was indeed trivial. Wen Hang wasn’t enough to make her serious.
"It’s over." She bent down and picked up the fallen handgun from the carpet.
Holding it in her palm, she inspected it briefly. "This model isn’t bad," she commented casually. "Too bad the person using it was an amateur."
Su Mo had no knowledge about firearms, so he didn’t comment.
Lin Yaorui, however, was still standing frozen in place. Her mind was struggling to process what had just happened.
Everything had unfolded far too quickly. From Wen Hang pulling out the gun... to Leng Shuang disarming and knocking him out... the entire situation had reversed in the blink of an eye.
She had already suspected that Leng Shuang wasn’t an ordinary secretary when she had effortlessly pushed Lin Fan to the ground back then.
But this level of combat ability still shocked her.
Just as she opened her mouth, preparing to ask something—
*Knock. Knock. Knock.*
A loud knocking suddenly sounded at the office door.
"Boss!" a man’s voice came from outside.
"Boss, are you alright?" Another voice followed immediately after.
"What was that sound just now?"
The gunshot had clearly alarmed the employees and security staff outside.
Footsteps could be heard gathering in the corridor.
Lin Yaorui’s expression immediately tightened. Her brow furrowed as tension appeared in her eyes.
’Now what?’
Unfortunately, she was worried too soon. Because what happened next before her eyes completely overturned everything she thought she knew about reality.
Su Mo raised a hand and made a silent gesture toward Leng Shuang, then pointed at the unconscious Wen Hang lying on the floor.
Leng Shuang understood immediately, giving him a slight nod.
---
Outside the office, the guards and employees had grown increasingly uneasy. The gunshot they heard earlier was loud and clear. Furthermore, the complete silence that followed only made them more suspicious.
"Boss? Are you alright?"
One of the security guards knocked on the door again, this time even louder.
But there was no response.
The people in the hallway exchanged worried glances.
"Something’s wrong," one of the guards muttered.
Just as they were about to force the door open—
*Click.*
The office door suddenly unlocked and opened from the inside.
Standing in the doorway was a familiar figure with curly hair and a blue suit.
It was none other than Wen Hang.
Seeing their boss standing there unharmed, the tension in the hallway instantly eased. Several employees even let out small sighs of relief.
"What’s wrong?" Wen Hang asked with a slightly puzzled expression. "Why are all of you gathered here?"
One of the security guards stepped forward. "We heard a loud sound from your office, boss."
"Oh, that?" Wen Hang waved his hand casually, as if it were nothing.
"I just sneezed a little too hard."
"...Sneezed?"
The employees looked at each other in confusion.
For a moment, no one knew how to respond.
A sneeze?
They were quite certain that the sound they heard was more like a gunshot.
Some of them even began wondering whether their boss had been drinking during working hours... or perhaps experimenting with some strange new medicine.
What kind of nonsense explanation was this?
Seeing their doubtful expressions, Wen Hang raised an eyebrow.
"You don’t believe me?"
He sighed as if slightly annoyed.
"Fine. Watch this."
The next second, he lifted a hand and covered his mouth as if preparing to sneeze.
Under the strange and curious gazes of the employees, he suddenly jerked forward—
*Bang!*
The sound that came out was almost identical to a gunshot.
The corridor fell completely silent.
The guards and employees stared at him with wide eyes.
No one expected their boss to possess such a... peculiar talent.
One of the older security guards, who had previously served in the army, looked especially bewildered.
"That sound..." he muttered in disbelief. "It’s exactly like the gunshots I heard during my service."
