The Destructive Adventures of the Lovers-Chapter 70: Freedom for Her
Chapter 70 - Freedom for Her
The snow crunched beneath their feet as the Ice Knights closed in from behind, their frost-covered armor glinting in the thin, ghostly light filtering through the frozen branches.
"They're coming," Owen whispered, his wings flicking with a nervous energy. "We have to move."
"No," Zeze said, her voice sharp as the wind cutting through the trees. She grabbed three blades, their hilts already freezing in her grip. "We stand our ground."
The first knight lunged, his breath a chilling mist. Zeze darted forward, slicing through the air with a rapid twist, her blades flashing like lightning. She backflipped, her feet skimming over the icy ground as she flung her knives. They struck with precision, shattering the knight's frozen chestplate into splintered shards.
"Behind you!" Xyrille screamed, slamming her fists to the ground. The rocks beneath them rumbled and shot forward, but a pulse of icy energy met them, freezing the stones mid-air before hurling them back. Xyrille gasped, stumbling as the icy fragments cut her cheek.
Ella screamed as a pair of ice knights seized her arms, dragging her backward into the shadows. She struggled, kicking and thrashing, but their grip was like iron. The fog around them thickened, and from the swirling mist, a figure emerged—tall, slender, and cloaked in frost. Martha. The Ice Queen.
"Martha," Ella choked, her breath steaming in the freezing air. "Mother..."
The Ice Queen stepped closer, her eyes as pale and cold as the frozen sea. With every step, the ground beneath her crystallized, frost spreading like a virus. She paused, tilting her head, her lips twisting into a bitter smile. "Daughter," she whispered, her voice as sharp as breaking glass. "Did you think you could escape me?"
"Let her go!" Owen shouted, his wings unfurling with a burst of blue flames. He lunged, but the queen flicked her wrist, and a wall of ice shot up, slamming into him. He crashed into the trees, frost creeping up his feathers as he struggled to rise, his breath ragged and shallow.
Xyrille's eyes flared with anger. She pressed her palms to the ground again, summoning the earth's fury. Stones shot upward, spinning toward the Ice Queen, but they froze mid-air, their momentum shattered as the queen's chilling aura snatched them from her control.
"Foolish child," Martha whispered, her cold breath visible even in the frozen air. She reached out, and Xyrille gasped, her mind seizing as an icy grip tightened around her thoughts. She staggered back, her vision blurring, knees buckling as the frost crept into her skull. She dropped, her body limp and shivering.
"No!" Lila screamed, her staff flaring with a desperate light as she swung it at the Ice Queen. But Martha merely raised a hand, and the staff snapped in two, sending Lila crashing into the frozen underbrush. Ice spikes burst from the ground, stabbing through her limbs, pinning her to the frostbitten earth.
Only Zeze remained, her breath coming in rapid, visible puffs, her blades slick with the blood of fallen knights. She met Martha's eyes, her heart racing as the queen raised a single hand.
"You... are an insect," the queen hissed. She flicked her fingers, and a frozen cage dropped from the sky, slamming into the ground around Zeze, trapping her in a prison of solid ice. She smashed her fists against the sides, but the walls only grew thicker, the frost spreading up her arms like chains.
Without another word, the Ice Queen turned, her cloak of frost swirling around her as she disappeared into the shadows. The knights followed, dragging the cage with them toward the distant lights of Maranaqua, their footsteps crunching through the snow as the storm raged on.
Got it! Here's a revised version of the Chapter with the clarification that Martha created another ice castle in Maranaqua and Aeiwou escaped because the powers of the Ice Castle in Antarctica broke. Aeiwou goes to the Creation World for revenge and to take control of it.

Phoebie stood outside in Maranaqua, clutching the cold, shimmering cage. Her breath misted in the freezing air. Inside the cage, Zeze was bound tightly, her breath slow and labored. The Ice Castle Martha had created in Maranaqua loomed in the distance, its chilling walls gleaming under the pale moonlight. Martha, standing tall and commanding, looked at her creation with a sense of victory.
"I've done it," Martha whispered, almost to herself. "I've created another stronghold. The power from the Ice Castle in Antarctica may have broken, but now I have something stronger."
She raised her hands, her ice magic crackling through the air. The Ice Castle rose even higher, its cold reach spreading through the land.
Meanwhile, in the darkness, Aeiwou waited. She had been trapped, locked away by Martha in the shattered ruins of the Antarctic Ice Castle, unable to use her full powers. But now, with Martha distracted, the time had come. Aeiwou felt the power stir inside her.
Her eyes shone with an unnatural blue light, and a hum of energy vibrated through the air. Her hands glowed as she gathered her strength. Finally, the moment arrived. A burst of blue energy erupted from her body, and the chains of her prison shattered.
She stepped forward, and as she did, the frozen world around her began to crumble. The ice walls of the Antarctic Castle cracked, pieces breaking off and falling into the abyss. Aeiwou, her freedom now complete, ran. Her laughter echoed through the cold winds as she floated into the air, the snow swirling around her in a furious storm.
A whirl of ice and snow formed around her as she rose higher into the night sky. "I am finally free!" she screamed, her voice filled with both rage and triumph. "Martha, you took everything from me. But now, I will take it all from you."
As she soared through the air, creatures of ice and snow emerged from her fury. Ice Demons, Yeti, Ice Golems, and even Evil Snowmen—all born from her wrath. They formed ranks behind her, their chilling presence an ominous threat.
Aeiwou raised her hand high, releasing her blue power into the sky. "The portal is open. The world of Creation will be mine!"
A swirling vortex of blue energy opened in front of her, pulling everything into it. Her creatures followed her, tumbling through the portal, disappearing into the unknown. Aeiwou and her army landed in a new land, near a kingdom— Creation World. The portal closed behind them with a thunderous crack.
Night had fallen over the world, and the icy landscape stretched before them. Aeiwou looked at the distant kingdom, a castle forming in the heart of it. The people there had no idea what was coming.
"That castle," Aeiwou muttered, her gaze hardening. "That is where I will begin. The power of the Creation World will be mine."
With a fierce wave of her hand, she sent her creatures forward, leading them toward the kingdom. Snow began to swirl and fall around them as Aeiwou prepared for the coming battle. Her eyes glowed with determination—this time, she would not be stopped.
