Chapter 812: Oriana’s Help

As Morpheus fled towards the sky, Grianor asked, "Will he be able to protect himself this time?"

"He himself had taken that oath back then, and now he has to fulfill it. The rest is his destiny," Solaris commented as he looked at the sky where Morpheus was disappearing.

"I will go and pass him my essence," Grianor said, ready to leave.

"It will only prolong his life for a few moments. Only darkness can hold him, but he doesn’t have the power of darkness."

"But I have," Oriana came forward, her eyes narrowing at the skies, determination flashing in them.

"Princess Esmeray, you have a plan?" Solaris asked, a light smile playing on his lips as if he already knew what she had in mind. "I am glad you are willing to help."

Esmeray looked at him. "Though I hate the heaven realm and the crafty beings here, the ones up there are my friends. And I will do anything to help and protect them."

Solaris hummed in delight. "The three realms will always be grateful to you."

"I am doing it only to save my friends, the demon realm, and the mortal world," she made it clear that the heaven realm meant nothing to her and it could go to hell.

The next moment, she disappeared from her place, her sword emitting the power of absolute darkness.

Solaris smiled as he looked up towards the sky, while Grianor said, "Will she be able to help?"

"If they plan it well," Solaris said, "I am sure they will. Spending their life in the hardship among the mortals, had given them more wisdom than any of Devine beings. They have learned to value the people and relationship they have."

"That we lack in the heaven realm," Grianor said.

Solaris chuckled, "It’s never late to change. And you shouldn’t blame yourself either. Everything is one’s destiny."

Grianor could only hum.

Meanwhile, the three Dragons settled across the star constellations set by the Devil, each in their position for their own realm. The Devil stood at the center of the triangle, extending his power outward to connect them.

"You three can now extend your powers to connect with the other two dragons," the Devil told them through the mind link.

The three followed his command. Darkness surged from their cores, beams of power shooting across the skies, linking them together until the triangle sealed tight with crushing force. The entire Heaven Realm trembled under the immense pressure of darkness, four dragons feeding their strength into it.

The enraged celestial phoenix screeched, her cry ripping through the skies. She darted in every direction, wings cutting through clouds and firestorm winds, but each time her path slammed against the unyielding wall of darkness.

She was trapped in the triangle created by absolute darkness connecting all three realms. The hellfire wreathing her body flared wildly, desperate to consume everything.

Morpheus cut through the storm of flames of hellfire, forcing himself to get closer to her. The heat from the hellfire scorching his skin, but he refused to stop. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Ember!" he shouted over the roar of hellfire. The flames lashed out, almost scorching his wing, yet he pressed forward, pushing through.

But she didn’t hear him. The phoenix twisted sharply, wings beating with impossible speed as she searched relentlessly for weakness, for any exit out of the trap. Her fury made her even faster, her flames threatening to incinerate everything they touched.

Then, Morpheus stopped, and flew high above the skies. He calmly watched her below and analyzed her pattern of flying. Each turn, each furious strike against the barrier — there was a rhythm, a cycle to her movements. He saw it. He knew where she would turn next.

With a determined breath, he dove in the opposite direction of hers, streaking like a meteor across the triangle. He aimed for the exact point where their paths would cross head on, willing to endure the searing agony of hellfire if it meant he could stand in front of her, if it gave him even one more heartbeat to reach her soul and made her listen to him.

As long as he could stop her — as long as he could bring her back — nothing else mattered.

On the other side, Drayce’s sharp eyes caught the glint of wings slicing through the storm. He spotted the golden eagle and tensed.

"Morpheus is here," Drayce informed the others through the mind link.

"What’s he doing here?" Draven’s reply snapped through the bond, his tone sharp with displeasure.

"He’s around my boundaries. I saw him chasing after Ember," Drayce said grimly. "Probably trying to stop her."

"He can’t stop her," Draven’s voice came back, low and furious. "He’s planning to kill himself again."

"He’s coming toward my boundaries," Arlan added darkly. "What Draven said makes sense."

----

"Drayvor, what do you suggest?" Draven asked. "I have to stop him."

"If you move, this triangle will break and she will be free once more," Drayvor replied. "And if she is free, it will be impossible to trap her again. We have to stop her within this triangle."

"I can’t let him die," Draven declared. "She won’t be able to take it if he dies because of her once more. It will break her. I can’t let it happen."

Drayce interrupted with worry, "Draven, you can’t let anything happen to you as well. She won’t be able to take it. We don’t know what she will do."

"I have no other choice," Draven said, "I can’t let him die this time."

Just then Drayvor said, "You can leave to help him only if the power equal to yours replaces you — and it must be from the heaven realm."

"The power of darkness from the heaven realm? That’s impossible, isn’t it?" Arlan asked. "All of them are divine beings with power of light."

"God of War."

The voice broke through their conversation.

Draven’s massive head snapped toward the source of familiar voice. Oriana stood there within constellation of the heaven realm being controlled by Drave, her blade already raised and emitting absolute darkness, her eyes burning with shadow.

"You should go and save your mates," she said, unwavering. "I will take your place."

Draven’s glowing eyes narrowed. He talked to her through the mind link, "Can you truly hold my place here?"

Oriana’s answer was to thrust her sword skyward, absolute darkness exploding from the blade like a shattering wave. "My power of darkness is just as strong as yours. I may not be a Dragon, but I am the mate of one. And because of my mother’s bloodline from the heaven realm, part of me belongs here. That makes me worthy of anchoring this constellation."

The black dragon let out a low rumble, then gave a curt nod.

Draven agreed to it and informed the others.

Drayvor approved without hesitation.

In a flash, Oriana stepped into Draven’s star constellation. Her power poured outward, thick rivers of shadow connecting with the other two dragons. The triangle held, stabilized by her raw, unyielding force.

Arlan’s laughter cut across the bond. "I always knew my beautiful mate had the solution for everything."

"Focus on the task first," Drayce snapped, his red wings slicing the sky. "You can praise her once this is over."

"Are you jealous your mate isn’t here?" Arlan teased, dark amusement dripping from his voice.

"I’m glad she’s not. I do not expect any heroic act from her after suffering so much for being a vessel for hellfire all her life," Drayce countered, eyes flashing as he reinforced his section of the triangle. "She’s safe away from this—and that’s all that matters."
