The Elven Evolution: Starting With 1 Million SSSR Skills-Chapter 98: [] What Next?
Sabrina ended up crying for quite some time, after which they just sat there in silence.
The rain had finally ceased, creating a serene humid atmosphere. The scent of wet earth, mixed up with wet grass and the ash left over from their fight.
Sabrina then sat up, a small smile on her face as she turned to Eliron, then she bowed, "Thank you er..."
"Eliron."
"Thank you Lord Eliron."
Eliron sighed. "Elirom is fine..."
He had been called lord so much that he had gotten tired of hearing it.
A small, gentle smile painted her face, as she glanced up at the sky. "I never thought this day would come."
"Even though I couldn’t help but dream about it, despite my belief of how impossible it was... now that it has happened, I am a little confused."
Eliron tilted his head slightly. "Confused?"
She glanced at him, we brows furrowing and her eyes twinkling with childish curiosity.
"What do I do now?" She asked, biting her inner cheek.
Eliron leaned back on his hand and shrugged. "You can do anything you want. You can travel, you can start a farm, become a merchant? A guard?"
He chuckled. "You are free to do whatever your best desires."
Her eyes widened slightly as she thought through all the possibilities.
Then she opened her mouth and said, "I don’t know what to do..."
Her expression was downcast as she stared at him, her confusion clearly written on her face.
What she was experiencing was a common problem people often faced.
Choice overload... she had always lived her life unable to do as she pleased.
Now that the world was opened up to her, she had no idea what to do.
Eliron laughed when he saw her genuine downcast expression. "You don’t need to decide now. Why don’t you work with me for now instead?"
Her expression immediately brightened up. "Really? Can I join you?"
Eliron nodded. "I see why not." Then they both glanced around the area and frowned. "Oh, don’t worry about that, I’ll explain to them!"
But Sabrina was already teary as she bowed. "I’m sorry!... for trying to kill you and all..." she said in a low tone.
Eliorn waved his hand dismissively. "Never mind, it was fun really."
Apart from his aching head and bleeding mouth, the fight had actually been enjoyable.
Although because of that fight, they were both in need of medical attention...
Just as Elirom was thinking that, suddenly, a large shadow washed over them.
Eliron raised his head up and gasped. "Is that... a wyvern?"
Sabrina became as pale as a sheet of paper, thinking that the summon was coming to finish the job.
That was until a silver-haired head peaked from above the wings.
Yennefer eyes strolled across the decimated area, then brightened up when they landed on Eliron.
’Did Yen actually manage to tame such a monster??’ Elirom wondered.
"I-isn’t that Lord Galanhad’s wyvern?? How did she take it?"
"You brought it here?" Elirom asked, curious.
Sabrina sighed heavily while scratching her arm nervously.
"I’m sorry, I completely forgot about it. Lord Galanhad ordered me to summon it in Artaris..." She confessed, her gaze down cast.
Eliron smiled. "Don’t worry about it, you weren’t acting according to your will. Afterall, things seemed to have worked out in the end."
The wyvern landed, creating a gust of wind that ruffled their clothing. Then the monster tilted his head to let Yennefer come down with ease.
"What the heck happened to this place? It looks like a bomb went off..."
The moment Elirom saw her fully, and the terrible state she was in, he felt his heart drop.
Before Yen could react, Eliron had already reached her, his eyes wide in shock.
"What the hell happened to you?" He asked, his voice dark.
He held her delicate shoulders as he inspected her body.
From the large jagged tears on her clothing, to the thick blood that even the rain couldn’t wash off...
He lifted her hand to check, then went down to his knees to observe what must have been a large cut on her stomach.
Although her injuries were already healed, Eliron could tell that she went through an unimaginable amount of pain.
You could heal your bruises, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t feel the pain from the wound.
Yennefer was left speechless as she watched his concerned face.
Then Eliron immediately turned to face the wyvern, his expression dark. Everyone present could feel the pure, murderous energy seeping out of him.
"It was you, wasn’t it?"
The wyvern whimpered while bowing its head low to the ground.
"Hey, it’s not Tiny’s fault!" Yennefer said, standing on the toil of her toes to try and block his line of sight.
"He was being controlled!"
"I’m sorry. It was me who brought him here, I’ll take any punishment you deem fit." Sabrina said from behind him.
"..."
Eliron was silent for a few seconds before he sighed.
"Neither of you are at fault."
’Galanhad is the one I should direct my anger at...’ he thought.
One way or the other, they were dated to cross paths. And when they did, Eliron’s gaze darkened.
’I’ll have my...’
"Owww!" Yennefer pinched Eliron’s cheek and dragged it, causing his pale skin to glow red.
"Look at you getting angry while you are a mess yourself!" She scolded him as she observed his body.
"Stand still, I need to heal you."
Eliron took a step back. "How can you heal me in such a state? You are barely standing upright."
Just from a glance, he could tell that Yennefer had over exerted herself.
She pouted and grabbed his shirt. "Don’t be stubborn, you’re only going to create more work for me later!"
Then she glanced at Sabrina. "Besides, I need to heal you so that I can attend to her."
Eliron turned his attention to Sabrina, wincing when he saw the wound on her side. It was a deep cut that still hadn’t fully stopped bleeding, courtesy of him...
Sabrina raised her hands when she noticed that was the object of their attention.
"Oh, no no, don’t bother about me, I’ll be fin—ack!" Her face contorted when a sharp pain surged through her.
Eliron sighed. "Alright, Yen you can start, but don’t go overboard."
Yennefer smiled and then a hum of golden energy emerged from her hands, surrounding Eliron.
All the pain he felt slowly dissipated, and then the minor cuts he had closed. When she was done, she moved over to Sabrina and began healing her as well.
Yennefer did not ask much about her, she had already figured out that she was the Assassin, and was in a similar situation as Tiny, so there was no need for pointless chatter.
"How are Artie and Ash?" Eliron asked as she was working.
"They are fine. I told them I’ll find you while they went to check that everything was in order."
Eliron nodded. "That is good to hear." Then his eyes strolled to the monster guarding them as through it was a guard dog.
"By the way, who names a wyvern Tiny?"
Yennefer smiled smugly as she finished. "We’ll he’s a small drago—"
Her words slurred as she stumbled forward, falling into his arms.
"Miss?!" Sabrina called, sounding panicked.
"Don’t worry. She’s fine, just exhausted."
Eliron carried her on his back, tucking her legs underneath his arms, and wrapping her arms around his neck. "You did well today, Yen." He said to the sleeping angel.
"Let’s go home..."
"Hyruuuu..." The dragon huffed solemnly as they began walking, watching Eliron with a sad look in its eyes.
"Yes, you too..."
"Hyruuuu!" It yelled happily as it dashed towards them.
