The extra is a fox eyed jester-Chapter 62: I want to eat you.
Azazel sighed for what felt like the tenth time in the last five minutes, he slowly dragged his feet up the stairs like a marionette.
Unlike the guest house in Merelyn falls, their hostelry didn’t have a bifurcated staircase, it was a single grand stairway draped with a royal blue carpet.
As he passed by, the receptionist gave him a strange look, one which bordered on awe and a silent question.
It wasn’t only the receptionist.
Every single person within the hall was staring at him.
And Azazel?
Well he couldn’t care more or less about their gazes, he was sure Elias was receiving his own share of the attention after all, the blonde prince had gone from, sickly frail to a normal athletic blade wielding monster.
It was bound to draw attention, and it was the same reason he was receiving it.
A week ago, Azazel wasn’t awakened.
He was an arrogant, intolerable noble who had a very nasty temper and a natural disdain for anyone he met.
That same person had awakened not too long ago and was already using a technique unheard of, even within his family.
All the people who had watched the Livestream of the exam knew he devastated the battlefield.
He had taken out a few aspirants, then had disappeared for most of the exam, only reappearing a few moments later to brutally tear down anyone left.
Anyone who saw it, was left with a single thought.
That he was a monster.
Especially the battle with Nathaniel, that fight clearly left an impression.
In terms of strength, Nathaniel was clearly overpowering him but at the last minute, he used an unpredictable attack to end the battle.
Quiet mutters followed as Azazel passed their midst, but he paid no heed to them.
He just wanted to sleep but he couldn’t because he had no doubt that Lily or Liliana, whatever she called herself, would be waiting for him to arrive in his room and heaven help him. He didn’t want to imagine what would happen if his bargain went wrong.
And that favor he promised her? Yeah he was screwed.
What that demoness had demanded of him wasn’t something he had expected and it wasn’t something he was willing to do either.
While he was lost in thoughts, one of the guest house maids had accidentally bumped into him, spilling tea all over his attire.
The hall went silent so quickly it felt like the air itself was holding its breath.
The maid on the other hand was shivering like a cat who had just taken a dip in a lake during a snowstorm.
"S-Sir... please... forgive, m—."
Azazel moved before she could complete her sentence.
She shivered then clamped her eyes shut, half expecting the famous lout of the Astavore family to snap and hit her, but to her surprise he simply spoke in a calm tone.
"Watch where you’re going."
Then he walked past her.
Everyone practically blinked in disbelief, because the Azazel they had all heard about wasn’t someone to let something like that slide, especially when it had to do with his clothes.
Azazel went through the hallway, took the flight of stairs which led to the higher floors where the most luxurious rooms in the guesthouse were held.
His hands lingered on the door knob.
He took a deep breath, sighed then turned the knob slowly.
The door opened with a soft click.
Azazel stared at the door for a few seconds then went in.
The room remained the same way he had left it, arranged and clean, there wasn’t a single thing out of place, it was all immaculate.
He heard the door click behind him. He didn’t need to turn around to know who it was.
"Lily." He called. "Or Liliana, which one are you?"
A sultry whisper sounded behind him followed by a hot breath which grazed his ear.
"Take a guess, Master~"
"Liliana."
"Bingo~"
The pink haired succubus skipped around him, her movements were light and playful, until she came face to face with him.
"It took you a while to get here, you weren’t trying to avoid me were you?" She asked in a playful tone yet Azazel fought back the urge to shiver.
He stared deeply into her hypnotic eyes then scoffed.
"Avoid you? Why would I?"
She placed a finger on her chin, averted her gaze as though she was imitating a thinking scholar’s pose, then she smiled.
It was slow, deliberate and dangerous.
"I thought you were somehow afraid of us now~"
She let her fang protrude slightly, just enough for Azazel to notice the sharp tip glinting wickedly.
"If I was going to chicken out then I wouldn’t have bothered revealing any information to you, now would I?"
She hummed.
"Maybe."
Now that Azazel could see her clearly, the shades of Lily’s hair were already turning a deep crimson.
Azazel frowned.
’Is her demonic side devouring Lily’s personality or is this just an effect of the body possession.’ He thought, hoping to get a little help from Akathartos but the blade left him to his own problems.
Liliana noticing his stare blinked, then she leaned closer, her voice a whisper.
"You’re staring, master~"
"I’m thinking." Azazel deadpanned.
Liliana giggled, her nail tracing lazily along his shoulder.
"Sure~"
Azazel let out an exasperated groan then asked directly.
"What is it you want?"
Liliana grinned as if she was expecting the question.
"I thought about it, normally I would’ve stuck with the original plan of sharing a bed with you but..."
She paused, causing Azazel to inquire.
"But what?"
"But that won’t do anymore, since you already know about us, I changed my mind."
Azazel listened patiently, waiting for her next words.
Liliana leaned in close, close enough that he could feel her body heat, then she spoke.
"I want to eat you."
Azazel’s calm façade shattered.
He blinked rapidly.
"What?"
For the first time that night, a genuine alarm slipped into his voice.
"You’ve heard me~"
"Surely you’ve gone mad." He retorted.
Liliana laughed, her tone was light and surprisingly pleasant.
She wiped an imaginary tear from her eyes then giggled.
"Relax," she said.
"I don’t want to eat you, yet. I want you to let me feed on your nightmares~"
