The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 321 - 72 Hrs (6) Banters.
Not only Mignon was shocked, but also Enoch who believed he and Ruthlyn hadn’t gotten to that level of... shamelessness? In their relationship yet. Not that he wouldn’t love that but Ruth...why was she so stuck up on formality?
Mignon was the first to regain her composure amongst the both of them. She cleared her throat, rapping her knuckles lightly on the table before them.
"If you already knew the answer to your problems, why come to me for advise? You could propose to her in that bed she seems to like so much. I uh—i don’t think I should be elaborating that. If you still don’t understand, then you are not matured enough to get married," she stated.
Enoch chimed in, "That’s it, Mig. He has a solution already so help with mine. Ruth is your best friend so I’m sure you do have suggestions, right?"
"I do," Mignon replied. "But I have been away for four years. Definitely, her tastes must have changed completely. You dating her is a good example of that cause the Ruthlyn who was my friend in the past, would definitely not date someone like you—"
"An insult or a compliment?" Enoch interrupted her, to which Mignon shrugged.
"Your mood will be dampened if I answer that so it’s left for you to find out. By the way...I do have a suggestion on how you can find out the best way she would prefer to be proposed to, wanna hear it?"
"Definitely," the men chorused.
She leaned forward and signalled them to do the same, lowering her voice to whisper in their ears.

Krystal was more than shocked when the door to her office opened and an expected and at the same time, highly unexpected couple walked in, and dressed in the most peculiar manner too? Ethan’s was normal but Shikera... this was definitely not her style of dressing.
"What are you wearing, Kera?" she blurted out, unable to keep her words to herself.
"Aimed to dress sexily for a particular man but guess what? I failed. Do I not look good in it?"
"Of course, you do," Krystal replied. Looking from Ethan’s face to Shikera’s, she saw the atmosphere between them was not like it was when she last saw them. ’It should be a good thing, I guess,’ she thought.
"Thank you," Shikera responded confidently. "We came for an ultrasound scan since my baby daddy is free today. Would you have the time to accompany us?"
"No," Krystal deadpanned. Her eyes was fixed on Ethan, waiting for his reaction to her rejection. During the past week while they had meetings with the doctors he invited, he always flinched when the baby was mentioned and once, he had ordered everyone not to address the fetus as ’the baby’. But now, he seemed totally unaffected as if he was not hearing Shikera’s words.
Her brows pulling up in displeasure, Shikera frowned.
"Hey Krystal!" she slammed her bag on the table, attracting the doctor’s attention. "We might be divorced but my ex-husband is still a no-go area for you! What am I saying? He’s a no-go area for everyone. Take. Your. Eyes. Off. Him."
"Why?" Krystal teased. "I have a daughter and he has one. And our daughters are best friends too; isn’t that a perfect match? Plus Mr. DeLoach doesn’t seem to like your possessiveness—"
Ethan cut her off, "I do love her possessiveness, Dr. Alexander. You know pregnant woman should not be stressed, pranks or not." His attempt at taking Shikera’s side was futile, as she focused more on the latter part of his words.
"Does that mean Krystal is right but you are lying because you don’t want me to be stressed?" she questioned.
"I meant what I said, Shikera."
"Then why did you have to add that?"
Krystal interjected, "I will butt in here, Mr and Miss. Do you want to keep arguing or come with me to the—"
Ethan cut in before she could conclude, "We are coming with you. Let’s go, Kera."
She squinted her eyes, staring at him suspiciously before taking his outstretched hand. "We will talk about this later."
Minutes later, she had changed her clothes into a maternity gown and was now standing in the ultrasound room. Ethan stood by her, both of them waiting for Krystal to conclude her conversation with the obstetrician.
"What were we saying earlier?" Shikera whispered, her eyes bearing a mischievous glint.
Ethan completely ignored her as he was not ready to get into a never ending argument that he sure he had no chance of winning. Even when she pulled his hand to get his attention, he kept his eyes trained on Krystal and the other doctor standing by the door until the two were done conversing and now approached the bed.
"You ready, Kera?" Krystal asked, distracting Shikera and indirectly giving Ethan the opportunity to escape from her. He backed away to give the OB-GYN space and when he returned, Shikera was now laid back on the examination table, her belly exposed and a cool gel smeared on her skin.
The OB-GYN was standing beside the table, holding a wand that glided across Shikera’s stomach, causing the screen before the former’s eyes to flicker to life. As if on cue, both Shikera and Ethan looked away from the screen and kept their gaze off it until the doctor spoke.
"Oh my! What a surprise? Would you like to hear the heartbeat?" she asked, her eyes twinkling.
"Ethan, do you want to?" Shikera called, her eyes bearing an earnest plea she was not sure he could see.
He averted his eyes from hers, focusing on the wand that was placed on her belly.
"Don’t ask me."
"Is that a no then?"
"I will listen if you want me to. But..." he said, avoiding her question. He half expected her to order him to listen, but Shikera did the opposite.
"You don’t have to. Krystal, can you please help me record it?"
"What about you?" Krystal asked, looking from husband to wife or rather... ex-husband to ex-wife. "You also won’t listen?"
