The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard-Chapter 648: Weren’t You Very Brave Just Now_1
Chapter 648: Chapter 648: Weren’t You Very Brave Just Now_1
Carson Flores looked up and saw a woman descending from the sky, her garments fluttering, gliding gracefully like a fairy.
This woman appeared to be about twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, at least over one meter seventy in height, with delicate facial features, a straight nose, bright and captivating eyes, and a charm that was both enchanting and cool. She had a pair of thick, flat eyebrows that one simply couldn’t forget, which added a touch of a heroic spirit to her allure.
Plain seductiveness could make a woman seem like a disaster waiting to happen, giving off a sense of vulgarity, but combined with that triple dose of boldness, her demeanor seemed noble and ethereal instead.
Without a doubt, this was none other than Delaney Hunter, the Peak Master of Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak.
Since Delaney Hunter had spoken, Carson Flores naturally followed without question; after all, she was his main support at the moment!
Without a word, Carson Flores burst forth like a bolt of lightning, charging straight at Katherine Reid.
With malicious intent, this woman had just opened her mouth to cripple Carson Flores, and he was more than eager to deal with her. He had been cautious before, but now that Delaney Hunter had spoken, Flores had no more reservations.
Delaney Hunter was covering for him, and if he still didn’t dare to act, that would be a loss of face for her.
That simply wouldn’t do!
Jaxon Roth’s expression changed, and he moved to intercept Carson Flores, but as he just started to move, the Red Flame Sword stuck in the ground soared up instantly, its tip aiming directly at Roth.
Roth’s body stiffened, and he dared not move any further.
Katherine Reid, gnashing her teeth, threw out a flying shield which flashed with Spirit Light.
Carson Flores’s punch landed on the flying shield, shattering its glow, but the Spirit Light reappeared. Clearly, her flying shield was of much higher quality and power than those that had come before.
Although Katherine Reid blocked Flores’s strike, she turned pale with fright and screamed, "Uncle Master Jaxon!"
Jaxon Roth gritted his teeth and lowered his stance, "Peak Master Cameron, what is this supposed to mean?"
Delaney Hunter floated in midair, her tone lazy, "I find that little girl displeasing and thought to teach her a lesson. Do you have a problem with that?"
Jaxon Roth clenched his teeth and lowered his stance even further, "Katherine Reid is Elder Isabel Reid’s daughter. I ask that Peak Master Cameron give us some face on this matter."
"Give some face?"
Delaney Hunter crossed her arms coldly, her chest appearing even more majestic, "Why should I give him face? If he were here, I would personally discipline him instead of having Carson Flores teach that girl a lesson."
Jaxon Roth’s face showed his discomfort, but he had no solution at hand.
How could he beat Delaney Hunter?
In the short span of the conversation, Carson Flores had already hit the flying shield with three consecutive punches, and it ultimately couldn’t withstand such violence from him—the shield was smashed away, crashing into nearby rocks, sparks flying everywhere.
Carson Flores closed in, easily dispersing Katherine Reid’s defense with another punch, and slapped her face as he passed by. Before she could react, he backhanded her again, striking the other side of her face.
If Delaney Hunter said two slaps, then it would be two slaps—certainly not one less!
Carson Flores’s slaps didn’t carry too much Spiritual Energy. Otherwise, those two hits could have possibly spattered her brains out.
Even so, after the two slaps, Katherine Reid’s beautiful face had swollen up entirely, almost beyond recognition, looking quite pitiful and laughable.
Jaxon Roth’s face showed his discomfort, for this wasn’t just a slap to Katherine Reid’s face, but a slap to the face of the Myriad Phenomena Sect!
"Peak Master Cameron, this is too much!"
Delaney Hunter’s icy gaze fell on Jaxon Roth’s face, "Too much? Katherine Reid wanted to break Situ Xiu’s legs and cripple Carson at the drop of a hat. I merely gave her two slaps in return, which is already letting her off easy. And yet you tell me I’m being excessive? Do you believe I would cripple her right now?"
Jaxon Roth was startled and quickly changed the subject, "Do those two have a relationship with Peak Master Cameron?"
Delaney Hunter sneered, "They both belong to my Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak. What, does the Myriad Phenomena Sect think we’re easy to bully? Call out Jalen Schneider. Let’s see how he measures up, let’s have a talk!"
Jalen Schneider was the Sect Master of the Celestial Phenomena Sect and also its Peak Master, but Delaney Hunter showed no regard for that status, calling him out directly with a tone full of undisguised challenge.
Jaxon Roth naturally didn’t dare confront Delaney Hunter. Her temperament was such that each of the four Sect Masters had quarreled with her. Just the mention of her name gave them headaches.
If he dared to talk back, Hunter might really slap him!
If she dared to slap a Sect Master, who was he to be exempt?
This matter was better left to Elder Reid and Sect Master Schneider to worry about. He couldn’t manage it.
Jaxon Roth gave a formal bow, "When young people have conflicts, we must find a way to resolve them. Simply suppressing them this way isn’t a good solution."
"Now that you can’t beat me, you wish to reason with me?"
Delaney Hunter was merciless in her mockery, "You were so brave just a moment ago, wanting to weigh how much Carson weighed, right? Here I am standing, and I’m mocking you now, slapping your face. Why don’t you try to weigh me and see how much I weight?"
