The First Cultivator - Changing Existence-Chapter 856: Yhwh -
Chapter 856: Yhwh - 856
The sun hung in the sky, visible to nearly all of the beings throughout the Universe.
Despite the fact that merely seeing it would grant the Champion of the Sun a bit of power, most of the Path Creators actually allowed those in their domain to see it regardless.
The Path Creator of Despair was a unique case, with most of these people falling into two categories.
The first category were those who basically saw it as fattening up a pig before eating it. A large number of Path Creators would gain more by allowing him to grow, then taking him and using him for their own means. There have been plenty of examples of this happening throughout history.
For example, the Path Creator of Despair had around a hundred Path Creators trapped within his domain, suffering the same fate as all the other beings despite being in the Immortal realms.
Path Creators were just as rare as before, but with so much time having passed, there were countless. On average, a thousand Path Creators were born in a Sage Year.
That was one every nonillion years, which still meant every single one was a heaven defying talent.
In ten thousand Sage Years, ten million Path Creators would be born. Yet taking the ten thousand Sage Years before the current ten thousand Sage Years into account, only around 5,000 of the Path Creators were still alive.
The survival rate, in other words, was around 0.5%. This was unimaginable on paper, though it seemed more realistic when watching.
Although each Path Creator was born with supreme talent, this was often the cause of their deaths, and not just at the hands of other Path Creators. Only around 30% of the Path Creators that didn’t survive were killed by other Path Creators.
Some people would flaunt their talent, and a powerful being would descend and kill them or take them in for experiments. This almost always resulted in death.
Some would simply die in battle, unlucky. Others were even unluckier, dying due to some chance event.
This was no longer the same Universe as when Zhou Fan could name every single Path Creator.
If Yoha had been born now instead of back then, he would have only been an average Path Creator at best, which was not enough to enter Zhou Fan’s eyes.
But due to him being born when Path Creators were truly a rarity, he had become one of the strongest Path Creators in the Universe.
Speaking of Yoha made Zhou Fan think of Yhwh.
He had been revived, but had stayed silent, with a far smaller domain than most Path Creators. He was by no means weak, now in the Loose Immortal realm, but it was clear he had lost any motivation.
In a way, he had been traumatized.
His entire domain filled with countless followers had been destroyed, 99.99% of his followers killed. He too was among those who had died.
He had only been revived due to the nature of his power and Zhou Fan’s desire to have powerful Path Creators fight against him.
It wasn’t that he was untalented. His talent was just about equal with Ye Li’s, if not completely equal. His power was filled with unlimited potential, and was similar to the new Champion of the Sun’s power.
After thinking for a while, Zhou Fan went over to Yhwh. He had not spoken to him since the battle when he broke into the False Immortal realm.
Yhwh was clearly surprised to see Zhou Fan, though he didn’t show any reaction. He was... apathetic.
All he cared about was the small group of followers he had watched over for countless Sage Years, all in an area no bigger than Earth.
"It’s been a while." Zhou Fan said.
Yhwh nodded. "It is good to see you again. I thought you had forgotten about a has-been like me."
"Of course not. Besides, your talent hasn’t gone anywhere. You’ve just grown cowardly."
Yhwh nodded in agreement. "I lost, fair and square. I was defeated both in body and soul."
Yhwh was silent for a while, and Zhou Fan did not speak.
"I lost everything, you know." Yhwh eventually said. "I can’t handle something like that again."
It was clear to Zhou Fan that while Yhwh was definitely scared of the situation repeating, it was also due to concern and care that he did not go out and repeat his past. He truly cared about every single one of his followers, and seeing them die like that had been the most gut wrenching thing he could have ever experienced.
He did not want to cause any more lives to be lost just so he could rise to power again.
Zhou Fan nodded.
He walked, and the scenery changed. Although he had created an illusion, it looked to Yhwh like they had just traveled back in time.
He saw a temple with two guards.
They greeted every single person who came inside with excitement.
"Learning about our lord is the greatest decision you’ve ever made."
"Prepare to have your life changed."
Everyone who came in and out had the same expression. Happiness.
Zhou Fan changed the scene. Yhwh saw countless buildings huddled together. These buildings filled up a space of more than ten percent of the then Universe, and countless beings were held in them. Even by today’s standards, this was the greatest compression of living beings observable.
And yet, the streets were clean, the people were happy, and everything was sturdy and stable.
Gatherings of millions of beings, all discussing faith, were commonplace, and held in millions of locations concurrently.
The scene changed again.
Yhwh saw scenes of his people, all from long ago. He saw the strongest and the weakest. Yet all were so, so happy.
When the illusions ended, Yhwh had tears streaming down his face. Of course he remembered all of them. In a way, they still existed in his heart.
"There is a new being called the Champion of the Sun."
"I’ve heard." Yhwh said. "He is very similar to me."
Zhou Fan nodded. "And based on my predictions, there is a 99% chance he will reach the Earth Immortal realm, and then be devoured by Ye Li."
Yhwh paused, and his eyes, still filled with tears, sharpened with determination and overflowing hatred.
