The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 138: Rehearsals
Theodora Blackthorn.
Zeke’s heart almost stopped. At first, his head went entirely blank, then it rebooted and her name had his heart pounding.
Theodora Blackthorn. Daughter of Alpha Darius, and Cain’s... betrothed.
It all made sense now. Perfect sense. Her identity was the reason why she had hidden it from him. He recalled their discussion about her and his comment on it, that if he ever met her, he wouldn’t like her. He must have scared her after saying that.
Zeke didn’t say anything. He was sure words would be enough. All he knew was that the possessive feeling he had toward her could not be quenched by anything, and so he pulled her into a hug.
Theo glanced at him for a second. He was taking the revelation much better than she had imagined. She thought he might glare at her or something.
"You’re mine, Theodora," He declared strongly, "I won’t let anyone take you away from me,"
She relaxed more into the hug, letting the weight and calm of his words soothe her. She wanted this peaceful moment to last, and dearly wished Cain never existed in the place. But if Cain didn’t exist, Zeke would not exist either.
"I’m afraid, Zeke," She uttered softly, wrapping her arms around his back, "I’m afraid of everything. The pendant, the demon, the veil, Cain, everything, Zeke,"
"Don’t be," Zeke replied with a promise in his heart, "I won’t let anyone, or anything hurt you, Hellcat. I give you my word,"
The word of a wolf was his pact.
She believed him without question. In his arms, she always felt safe. In his arms, all worries flee.

Dominion Hall was a cavernous structure made of black stone with towering pillars rising toward a vaulted ceiling. Ancient runes of dominance and power carried names of the most powerful Alphas who had passed through the academy - with a lot of familiar names written.
Everyone who saw their names on the Play list at dawn had gathered after class, and Theo saw a lot of familiar faces.
Celeste. Roman. Heather. Aurelius. Liam.
Zeke was the last to arrive. No one expected him to actually come for anything regarding the play, and so the hall burst into a hush of whispers. A few girls almost passed out eyeing him like he had walked in naked.
But what really took Theo apart was when Zeke walked up to her and cupped her face in front of everyone. Her first instinct was to slap his hand off, the second was to throw him over her shoulders.
She followed the first.
"What are you doing?!" She hushed, completely flushed.
"Touching my girl,"
"Shshhh!" She snapped, checking to see if anyone heard, "Don’t ever do or say something like that in public!"
"But...,"
"No buts!" She eyed him and walked away.
Ava was standing alone by the corner, and as Theo approached her, she caught sight of healing bruises on her face and legs. The girls must have gotten to her again at the dorm.
"You guys make a cute couple," She whispered the moment Theo arrived.
Theo choked on air, "What?"
"You and Zeke," She said.
"How do you know something is going on between Zeke and me?"
She smirked, "I feel everything, remember?" She chucked softly, "You’ve got a lot of love interests, in fact,"
Theo shook her head, "Let’s talk about you. Was it Heather who did this to your cheek?"
"I’ve got a lot more girls who hate me now that I’m Lyra!" She groaned.
"Yeah? Well, this boyfriend of yours is gonna punch anyone who messed with you,"
Ava smiled and rolled her eyes, "I’ll be fine. Right now, I’m more worried about standing close to Zeke. His aura has calmed compared to last night, but it’s still haunted and torn,"
"Zeke isn’t as aggressive as you might think he is. I’m sure that despite what you feel right now, underneath it, there’s something soft about it. Hold unto that while you both rehearse your lines,"
The doors were thrown open as the petite teacher from last night walked in, along with a male teacher at Gravemont. They climbed the stage, and introduced themselves as the overseers of the Theatrical production, and everything else we would need to know.
Then, they shared the script and gave everyone a few minutes to skim through their lines. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Theo was playing Aeron, the Beta who rose and betrayed him during the first Alpha war ever. Her part mostly displayed vicious words and acts, and how he pretended to be trustworthy till the moment he stabbed Kael, and stole his Alpha blood.
Lyra played the part of Kael’s mate, who was a great seer and the only person who could soothe Kael’s anger whenever it exploded. It was weird how she could see everything, but never saw the betrayal coming.
Everyone had their distinct part to play in the act, and the twists in the storyline were unpredictable. If everyone gave their full cooperation, it was gonna turn out excellent.
"Now!" Jocelyn, the female teacher clapped her hands from the stage and everyone turned to her, "Let’s have you guys come up here, and show me what you’ve got,"
It was so new watching everyone act, especially when it was Zeke and Ava’s turn. You could literally see the girls’ faces, especially Heather’s, so red with anger, like she was about to burst into flames.
It was funny to watch.
Zeke’s acting was surprisingly superb. Kael was described as a powerful, dangerous heir of the Moonstone Pack, which was somewhat similar to Zeke’s personality.
Lyra was shy, sweet and warm, similar to Ava.
Lyra and Kael were complete opposites who fell in love amidst the hate they had for each other, and even though Ava kept stuttering while saying her lines, she was doing well.
Theo didn’t even realise her face was redder than Heather’s. Her fingers twitched by her sides, and her impulsive thoughts were to grab Ava’s head and bash her head on the ground for standing so close to Zeke.
But it was just a play - she had to keep reminding herself that.
After rehearsals, Theo headed to Sylas’s office. She needed to see him and tell him about her progress with Zeke. He had been exceptionally patient with her through it all, being so professional in class and practical and treating her like every other student of his.
She felt bad. Having a mate so close and not being able to speak with them, touch them.
She stopped at his door and knocked softly.
She heard the door click open from the inside, and she pushed it and walked inside.
Sylas was not alone in his office.
