Chapter 156: The Alpha’s Family

Violet and Ash stood in the doorway like shadows of death. Drenched in the blood of their pack members.

The Luna and her children cornered and shivering.

"Please, spare my children." The Luna pleaded.

But Violet frowned and her lip curled revealing a fang. "Your Alpha King didn’t spare my daughter, nor did his father try and spare me. You dirty mutts have taken something very dear to me and for that, every pack in my country will pay, your people will know no peace until my daughter is returned." Violet screamed, rage boiling over at their audacity.

Why would she be merciful when they had never been merciful to her. When they took her most precious person, all the joy in her life was sucked from her by their Alpha King.

"We don’t know anything about that, please." The Luna was hysterical.

"And? My kindness ended the day your Alpha King took my daughter." Violet growled as she approached.

Ash leaned against the door frame with a sickening and demonic smile.

The Luna acted on instinct, stepped in front of her children, "I won’t let you hurt them."

Violet stopped dead in her tracks. Her face had a saddened look to it.

But when she spoke, her voice sounded nothing like concern, it sounded like something more deranged and insane "Cute, you think you have a choice." She stepped closer and when the Luna shifted she lunged to Violet, but Violet was quicker; she reached out and grabbed the wolf by her throat. Violet seemed to grow larger, her grip iron tight on the wolf’s neck.

"I am the Queen of Darkness, Violet Drakarys. And you have breathed your last breath." And with that, Violet crushed the wolf’s windpipe. The she wolf couldn’t even whimper before crashing to the floor with a hard, loud thud.

She let out a wicked laugh before snapping her neck to look at the children, her smile twitched, and her eyes stared wide eyed and menacing. Her malice pooled around her. the children trembled in fear weeping on the ground at the body of their mother laying lifeless on the floor. Her eyes dull and her corpse was motionless.

The children sobbed "Mommy."

Violet felt a sharp stab of pain dead center in her heart.

"My daughter used to call me mommy. But then your cowardice king stole her from me. The things I wouldn’t do to hear her call me mommy again."

As Violet approached the children.

A howl of agony and dread rippled across the walls. She heard the footsteps at the same time as Ash.

The thumping of heavy paws against the wood floor echoed in the hall.

The children screamed "Daddy! Help!"

Ash turned to face the hallway, his demeanor never changing, but instead an excitement brewed in his chest.

He would rip this Wolf in two and put a spike through his head.

When the large wolf came barreling around the corner, Ash moved with quick agile speed, running along the side of the wall he rammed his shoulder hard into the beast, sending it flying back and crashing through a wolf.

"Come and get you little pup." Ash taunted the Alpha. He wanted to egg the shifter alpha on. A crazed alpha was a blind one.

The alpha roared with anger releasing his alpha aura. Ash just laughed.

The alpha felt enraged and insulted, charging blinding at Ash, Ash smiled, ducking to the side and pulling a knife from his jacket pocket.

Pure silver.

Deadly to shifters.

An Alpha could take a few stabs from the silver before becoming incapacitated.

Ash moved with a familiar ease twisting his body, using the momentum to slam the silver dagger into the wolf’s back. And with the same speed he ripped the dagger back out, twisted himself the other way stabbing the Alpha under the ribs.

"Just as Ash was about to slit the shifters throat, Violet yelled "Stop."

Ash stopped just in time; a trickle of blood flowed from the small cut.

"Yes, my queen."

"I have an idea, husband, what if we let one child live?" Violet had a mocking smirk on her face.

"Which child?" Ash grinned catching on to Violet’s idea.

"Ask the Alpha, he can save one child. He should pick which child." Her idea was pure evil, and she felt a sickening pleasure forcing this decision on him and forcing the children to live with the pain.

These savages would know the pain she did. And know it 10 times more. She lived with what they did to her for so many years. She was so forgiving and understanding, she saved as many as she could, accepted orphaned wolves into her care.

And their king repays her generosity with stealing her baby. He would pay with the blood of his people. frёeweɓηovel_coɱ

"You can’t make me do this." The wolf whined.

A young boy with short, well-groomed golden hair and an older girl with strawberry blonde curls were curled up whimpering on the ground in the corner of the room. They reeked of fear.

"Don’t make me chose, please." The wolf pleaded once more shifting into his human form, his wounds, oozing blood, unable to heal. "I’ll do anything."

"Bring back my daughter and they can both live." Violet growled.

The naked trembling man sat defeated on the ground.

"If you don’t pick, I’ll slit both of their throats." Violet’s smirk was unnerving.

The man fumbled over his words; Violet was enjoying the distress and indecision on the mans face. He shuddered, Violet moved closer to the children.

The little girl stood in front of her little brother, just as her mother did. Ready to die for him. The little boy coward behind her.

"Make the choice in 5... 4... 3... 2..."

"Meredith, save my daughter." And with those words Violet moved with impossible speed behind the little boy and snapped his neck, giving him a quick painless death. One he didn’t see coming.

"No!!!" The girl cried out, crumbling to the floor.

Violet walked over to Ash with grace and ease, like she hadn’t just snapped the neck of a child.

With each drop of blood she shed, her soul was becoming more corrupted. She was becoming empty.

As if her soul was making space for something more sinister to take root.
