Chapter 69: all my friends are here

Viktoria wasn’t worried, her actions would speak for themselves, as they all know, Viktoria is a woman of action.

"Okay Rosa, it’s my birthday, please be nice, for me." Violet gave Rosa a sweet doe eyed look.

Rosa could never say no to Violet when she gave her that kind of expression. "Fine, do you know who’s coming?"

"Yes, most of my friends from my old school, and the new ones from this school of course. Apparently, there will be some other high society vampire and human members that are expected to attend according to Gabriel." Violet answered.

"Sounds like this is going to get really interesting." Viktoria mumbled.

"What do you mean?" Violet asked confused.

"Violet, hunny, there’s going to be older than dirt high and mighty bloodbags attending a party with young humans, how is that going to work?" Rosa asked making a very valid point.

"Well, Uncle Vlad is here, so no one dare disobey him in his presence." Viktoria reminded them.

"That’s true. You don’t think he’ll make a snack of things young naïve college kids?" Rosa asked.

"Vlad is the oldest Vampire ever; I think he’s got some self control by now." Viktoria snorted responding with sarcasm.

"It’s not about self control. It’s about caring that people are more than meat." Rosa insulated something making Viktoria snap back.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Yes, you pure bloods have insatiable hunger." Rosa saying the quiet part out loud.

"Wow what a pretty shitty stereotype to believe. And do you half blood, fit your rabid, uncivilized, savage stereotype? No. I don’t think so, so don’t assume that’s the case for all of us." Viktoria felt oddly offended by Rosa’s comment. She usually felt unconcerned by the weight of other’s opinion. Apparently not now.

"You’re right, I’m sorry." Rosa quickly apologized.

"Wait, what?" Viktoria was taken by surprise when Rosa backed down so easily.

"You heard me right the first time, I won’t say it again." Rosa grumbled.

"Okay ladies, let’s greet the party." Violet said cheerfully.

"Okay." Rosa answers, taking one arm and Viktoria nods, taking the other and walk her down the grand entrance.

It was amazing what could be done in a matter of hours when directed by Vampires. Everything was pink, black, and white. It looked like a party for a gothic princess. There were flowers arrangements on limestone pedestals lining the wall. Ballons colored black, pink, white, and silver littered all over the floor. Tables with velvet cloths and satin pink runners. In the center of the table were crystal vases with white roses filling them. There were porcelain plates edged with real silver and as well utensils with white lace like napkins. A buffet of food and desserts. In the center of the food are there was a table with a large three layer cake. With pink frosting, decorated with white roses and black design work. The three of them were astonished with the effort the brothers put in for her.

It was a celebration for her. They really did this for just her. The smile that stretched across her face reaching eye to eye was one she’s never had. While descending the stairs everyone turned their heads, awe-inspired by her enchanting beauty and graceful aura.

The guests applauded upon her descent and the four brothers meet Violet at the bottom of the steps. Ash stepping forward first.

"You look more stunning than moonlight, Violet." Ash’s words sounded smooth in her ears; his voice made the hair on her arms stand up. Commanding the attention of everyone in the room. They watched as the connection between them sparked once his hand connected with hers, lifting it to his mouth and planting a soft kiss.

Violet’s face flushed with embarrassment at such a public display of affection from Ash. Taking his place beside her moving Viktoria out of hers.

Oliver approaches next bowing, "my sweet princess graces us with her lovely presence on her birthday this evening. Aren’t we just blessed?" his voice sounded sarcastic, but Violet knew he meant every word.

Jeremy nodded his head, but his eyes never left Rosa. He was mesmerized by her standing next to Violet in a dark blood red silk gown. A drastic comparison to the elegant yellow dress she wore to his concert. The red dress was mermaid shaped. The top cupped her breast in a heart shape, lifting them up, giving her so much cleavage. It hugged her body like a second skin. Encouraging her every curve to sway as she moved. Her skirt flowed generously around her ankles leaving a train behind her. She glowed in front of Jeremy. And he couldn’t help but to notice.

Violet didn’t miss the moment Jeremy had with Rosa and smiled. She didn’t need to use her gift to know what they felt. And it filled her heart with warmth when she watched. She couldn’t stay quiet any longer.

"Thank you so much! This party is beautiful. I really do feel like a princess." Violet was nearly in tears because of the kindness and care in this gesture. Things were so different now. Just a few months ago they barely cared for her above a breeder, but now they cared enough to put this extravagant party together just for her.

Viktoria left to find her brother and Rosa walked with Jeremy. Walking through the house to the backdoors she finds so many of her friends from her old school gathered at a few collected tables off to the side, her eyes widened and shined brightly with recognition upon seeing their familiar faces and figures.

"Oh, you guys really came!" Violet shouted excitedly, picking up her pace she dashed across the way dragging Ash in tow behind her.

"You act surprised." A girl named with blonde hair stood and spoke.

"Amanda! You’ve crawled out from the rock you live under!" Violet joked.

"Just for you babycakes." Amanda joked back shooting her finger guns and laughing. Violet released Ash’s arm and ran straight to her friend.

"Amanda!" She shouted.

"Violet!" the girl yelled matching her energy.

The two girls jump into each other’s arms, holding one another tightly.

"I’ve missed you so much." Violet cried into her friend’s neck.

"I’ve missed you more." Amanda whimpered. "Where have you been?"

"Around, ya know." Violet joked.

Ash and never seen this side of Violet, one where she is who she was before she met them and started her new life. Violet’s human life. Her tone and confidence had changed entirely.

"Yeah, well not around me." Amanda joked, but real hurt lied under all the pain.

Amanda was Violet’s best friend back in her human life, they’d been friends in school since Violet’s first day of school. This was the longest the two had ever been apart.

"Violet!" the rest of the group shouted. Everyone was so excited to be here and see her and where she lives now. They were stunned when they entered seeing how their friend lived. How beautiful and regal her home was and how attractive most of the people attending the party looked. Violet’s friends were human and even though the existence of night citizens was known now, her friends didn’t know they were practically sheep in a lion’s den.

Violet sits at the table with her friends and Ash stood possessively behind Violet. There were extra security measures because of all the added human and high society vampire members present at the party.

Ash rested his hands protectively on her shoulders. Towering over her small frame with his large body. He was intimidating to approach and if it wasn’t for Violet’s approachable and gentle aura, people might be too afraid to approach her, and her friends would probably feel nervous and under pressure being near someone like Ash.

She sat with her old classmates when her current one’s approach. Ursula, Arya, Gabby and Roland. And next to Ursula was some new.

The new face immediately put Ash on alert. Walking up with Ursula was a beautiful brunette with glowing Emerald green eyes. She was beautiful but she looked shy and out of place almost here. The way she huddled closely to Ursula was adorable. And it made Violet smile, she looked like a little puppy.

"Hey, you guys made it too! I want to introduce you guys to my old classmates, Alyssa, Tamara, Su Jin, Leo, Eddie, Luke, Ashley and my best friend Amanda." Violet was so excited for her two groups to meet. The people closest to her in the world were here at this house right now.

The party was buzzing with excitement. People wear dancing inside and taking strolls through Jeremy’s Garden. Jeremy and Rosa walked over carrying drinks, "Here birthday girl, have a drink." Jeremy said handing her a glass of sweet red wine.

"To the Birthday Girl!" they all scream and cheers.

While the party went on Vlad was in the room with Riley.

"You seriously drugged the maiden? She could be pregnant with anyone of your brothers or yours and you fucking drug her." Vlad yelled grabbing Riley up by the top of his hair. Riley shrieked in agony as his hair was pulled from his scalp while his father shook him like a rag doll.

"You’re despicable and thank the fucking devil your mother is not alive to see what a dumb ass scum bag her son has become. What a massive disappointment." He yelled at Riley throwing him across the room only to rush to him and pick him up to repeat again.

Riley bloody and bruised laid on the ground. Vlad approaches him and places his boot to his cheek and presses down.

"You are a worthless little shit, you are unfit to breed, you won’t see Violet again. I will take you from the manor and bring you home with me. Maybe teach you how to be a man." Vlad growled at Riley.
