Ash spent the day preparing for their attack. He was going to tear them to shreds. Drink them dry. Devour their loved ones.
They wanted war, they were going to get it. Ash had armed himself with bullets of wolfbane, his claws were dripping in wolfbane, and he drank it. He would be a violent blood savage made to personally poison each wolf.
When Ash first asked about drinking wolfsbane Jeremy thought it was weird, but after giving it a second thought, he decided that was actually a damn good idea. Jeremy distributed it to the others that joined their ranks, who gladly drank the disgusting drink.
Everyone was revved up and ready for war. They’d destroy them, they should have never touched their princess. Vampires are notoriously territorial just like shifters. And like shifters they’ll go to war over their people.
With all the Vampires gathered, armed and poisoned, and the moon reaching it’s perfect point they all headed for the wolves, on foot, careful not to draw any attention to themselves. They’d set their attack down wind, so their scent would take longer to be noticed by the outside guards on patrol. The ones who could teleport a few feet or fly short distance were expected to strike first. Once they start the assault, they would flood the packs grounds under the cover of shadows. After taking out the outer ring of homes and guards they’d take the inner circle, before finally reaching the palace. The plan was pretty solid.
Driving to a store at the halfway point they all parked. Wave after wave of vampires began the run. They lined up in rows, running 1 minute apart each from line to line.
Encroaching on enemy turf the first line of offensive picked up their place and positioned themselves. The second line and on hung back by the tree line waiting for their signal. Once everyone was in position, Ash, would was leading the charge, and sent the first wave of vampires descending on the wolves.
Silently they land on top of the guards, catching them by surprise, in almost perfect unison, the vampires ripped the throats from the wolves. Not so much as a whimper escaped them before they were lifeless carcasses lying on the ground.
Glowing red eyes came from the tree line. Breaking through their pack’s gates, they climb to the roofs and hop from one to another decreasing the distance between them and the palace.
With each new wave of vampires, the one before would drop to the streets. Soon screams began erupting from different parts of the city alerting nearby guards.
Laying siege to their city as chaos started erupting Ash shouted "Kill them. Kill them all."
Running into houses and dragging out whole families of shifters. They were kicking and screaming, beginning and pleading for their lives. But, one by one the vampires ripped the shifters apart leaving limbs scattered in the street.
Panicked pleas and screams for mercy could be heard all around. Yet, the vampires couldn’t be bothered with even a single care to spare for the pack. This pack was the pack was responsible for killing Jeremy’s mother long ago, and now kidnapping their maiden princess. This attack would be to avenge them both. They were ruthless and their assault was relentless. The smell of copper and iron filled the air, choking the people breathing. Shrieks of terror were all that could be heard as the vampires made their way through town. It was a bloodbath in the streets of the CrystalBay pack. They should have expected this. They shouldn’t have made themselves so Vulnerable.
A dragon landed in the center and began burning entire rows of homes, even with people still inside. Burning bodies came running from their door, only to be quickly caught in the giant jaws of a black dragon.
The vampires arriving at the palace, Ash was covered in a blanket of red, his eyes glowed with bloodlust. The air around him was suffocating and perilous. He was hyped up on adrenaline and rage. Zeroing in on the palace, they make a beeline for the loud lively ballroom.
Ash checked his flanks before descending on the windows.
Then came the blur of movement, vampires crashing through the windows, they swarmed wolves instantly. Howls of pain and screams of horror shook the remain window glass, forcing more shards to fall.
Shifters weren’t prepared for this level of assault; they were caught blindsided. Ash was the first to strike. He moved like a shadow, his crimson red eyes blazing with fury. A wolf lunged at him, a massive, snarling beast with dark fur. Ash dodged ducking low, his movements smooth, and before the wolf could correct itself, he shot forward. His claws sliced through the creature’s ribs, parting flesh like butter. The wolf yelped, staggering, but Ash didn’t stop. In a blur, he grabbed the beast by its muzzle, twisted sharply, and with a sickening crack, snapped its neck.
The body crumpled, twitching as blood seeped into the floor. A wolf, still half-shifted, lunged at him with a feral snarl, its claws swiping for his throat. Ash ducked, rolling to the side, and as he sprang up, he returned the favor slicing through the half phased wolfs jugular. The corpse collapsed in a heap at his feet.
Oliver moved quickly as a wolf charged him head on. Oliver didn’t move until the last second, in the blink of an eye, he sidestepped, his claws sliced through the air, shredding through the wolf’s leg. The wolf howled in agony. However, before it could scramble back up, Oliver was on top of it. He smashed his foot through the man’s stomach. Blood and fur fell at his feet. The wolf became limp and crumbled at his feet.
Then armed wolves came piling in by the dozens, quickly out numbering the vampires. Except, they’d prepared for that, as the wolves began their defense it didn’t last long, with every bite the wolves would start to jerk backwards howling in anguish. To the left you saw vampires scampering across the floor on all fours and then launching on nearby targets. Ripping into their necks. Some not even getting the chance to shift.
Jeremy charged at a wolf his claws ripping through the side of its neck. It shrieked, its hands clawing at the wound, but Jeremy, didn’t give it a chance to heal. He dashed, slamming into the creature with enough force to send them both tumbling to the ground.
Pinned beneath him, the wolf thrashed violently, trying to break free. Except Jeremy was relentless. His strong hands gripping its skull, and with a single, brutal twist, he crushed the wolfs head.
Blood and glass rained down on all of them.
Jeremy spotted Beta Atlas, who was slashing through vampires. He was a Beta level and as a higher-ranking shifter, he had a stronger resistance to wolfsbane and pushed through the poisoned clawing.
Being close enough now he remembered Atlas’ smell.
He’d never forget that smell. It was left all over his mother the day she died.
It was him.
Atlas was the wolf that killed his mother. An uncontrollable rage brought Jeremy to edge sanity. Atlas eyes widened and for the first time in his life, the man felt real fear. Jeremy looked completely unhinged. On a rampage he charges forward. He launches himself off the ground crashing into Atlas. Atlas didn’t even have time to react before Jeremy slammed on throat crushing his windpipe and drove his hand straight into its heart. Ripping it clean out of his chest. Devouring it whole, right in front of him.
Luna Queen Selene stood back, protecting a group of young wolves. Vlad came running for her and struck her down like lightning, rigid bloodied claws smashed her ribs with enough force to send her skidding back. Luna Queen Selene growled, shaking her head before launching forward. This time, he sprung upward, catching the Selene off guard. His claws raked across the her face, shredding the skin that once defined her beautiful features. Selene, staggered back, but Vlad stop there. He lunged again, this time clamping his jaws around Selene’s throat. Draining her before tossing her body to the side. It laid limp and lifeless.
In the middle of the chaos Alpha Micheal was holding on to Violet tightly using her as a human shield. Violet was petrified, stilled by her fears. Large droplets of blood splattered her face and salty tears streamed from her eyes, and she watched the carnage unfold. So many innocent wolves being torn apart and caught in the crossfire. She was yelling and pleading for the bloodbath to stop, but no one could hear her soft voice over the ferocious growls and panicked pleas for mercy. Violet watched as the people she knows and loves tear through women and children. People who had no clue as to why they were being attacked. Violet’s heart ached. The overwhelming emotions of hate, rage and pain the vampires were emitting was almost enough to break her. She dropped to her knees and started to scream. She tried entering their minds, tell the vampires to stop, but they were so consumed with violence and blinded by their rage she her cries were falling on deaf ears.
Ash and his father moved weaved and ducked between snarling wolves and hissing vampires, cutting down those in their path with brute strength.
Cyrus let out a rabid howl, as he watched the death of his wife, his queen.
He became unhinged and deranged lunging for them.
Ash barely managed to jerk away, but one claw nicked his cheek, drawing a thin line of blood. Alpha King Cyrus grinned he lunging again. This time, he aimed for Vlad, fangs snapping toward the vampire’s neck.
But Vlad was waiting.
He caught the Alpha King mid flight, grabbing hold of his throat with an iron grip. The wolf choked, thrashing violently, but Vlad didn’t loosen his grasp. His strength was inhuman, his control absolute.
Then, in a single devastating motion, he lifted the massive wolf and slammed him into the ground. The impact cracked the stone. Dust and debris were flying into the air. Alpha King Cyrus howled in pain, struggling to rise, before death started to overtake him and the world around him faded to black.
Vlad looked at Ash and said "You, go get her and you rip that bastard to pieces. Make me proud son."
Alpha Micheal was grabbing Violet, trying to make an escape.
"Coward" Ash growled low. He couldn’t believe the son of a bitch would just leave his pack to die, just to keep a woman that doesn’t belong to him.
However, before he could move even a foot, Ash was already above him. Landing on his back, forcing him down with his full weight. His claws dug into the wolf’s fur, holding him in place, he slammed Alpha Micheals head into the tile floor. Bashing it over and over again. Blood seeping from the cracked gash in the back of his head. Ash stops pinning his face to the side. Digger his sharp claws into his face, he whispered coldly into his ear, "You should have never crossed us,"
In a blur, Ash sank his fangs into Alpha Micheals neck. The son of a bitch thrashed violently, his massive limbs whippinh about, but Ash held him still, drinking deeply. The more he took, the weaker and pale Micheal became, his monstrous body trembling, the light in his eyes dimming.
Ash finally pulled back, his lips stained with blood, his fangs glinting in the moonlight. He straightened, stepping off the now-limp wolf, letting him struggle feebly in the dirt. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Alpha Micheal let out a final snarl, but it was weak now. His massive form trembled as he tried to lift himself, his body betraying him.
"Die knowing your clan will never rise again," Vlad growled, spitting on the wolfs lifeless body.
Ash was still in a frenzy, but once he locked eyes with his Violet, she was able to slither her way into his mind.
"You came for me."
