THE GOD EATER-Chapter 166: New Metacs.

If he could avoid Greg completely, his situation was likely to improve. Unfortunately for him, he his attempt to avoid Greg was met with an insurmountable road block.

This road block was the fact that only the sect could assign which battlefield he would be deployed on. As long as he signed up for the sect army, the rest is out of his hands.

He asked around and found out that the sect deploys new recruits based on the needs of the various battlefields. So if he waited for a while, he would be deployed to another battlefield.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t afford to wait around because of the appearance of a Divine Metac during his awakening ceremony, because of his identity as a full reincarnation, and because of the enmity of the Rein Family. He simply had too many reasons to leave as soon as he could.

Since he had to leave as soon as possible, he could only bear with Earthly Battlefield E6-137. There were no other grade 3 missions either, so it was either this or he continued to stick around Crystal City or go on weaker merit missions, which would only earn him grade 2 merit points.

Besides all of these, he thought that he had found a way to survive Earthly Battlefield E6-137, and he didn’t want to give up such a fast way to acquire merit points.

After making his decision, he went straight to the market. His first stop was a gambling house. He used the first gambling house to raise 12 million energy stones. Then he went to other gambling houses to try his luck.

He spent 2 million out of that 12 million energy stones at other gambling houses. Unfortunately for him, he lost all of it and didn’t get anything back.

But he didn’t mind the loss. He took the remaining 10 million and went to the information broker’s shop. He went there to ask for the reason the sects fought each other and wiped out many lineages and pathways.

He promised himself to find out about this in the last timeline. Unfortunately for him, they didn’t have this information. Apparently, no one below the level of divine beings knows that information. So he could only leave in disappointment.

After he left the information broker, he went to acquire the Metacs and materials that he needed. This time, he got some more Branch Metacs of the Mind Hunter Pathway.

He also got some extra Branch Metacs of the Forging Pathway that will enhance his strength. These extra Branch Metacs caused his configuration of Metacs to change into something else that would make him more powerful.

He got two more Branch Metacs for the Mind Hunter Pathway and the Forging Pathway. The two Branch Metacs for the Mind Hunter Pathway are the Mind Stake Metac and the Mind Bomb Metac. Both of them are rank 4 Metacs that work well with the Mind Stab Metac.

As for the two new Metacs of the Forging Metac, they are the Force Lever Metac and the Energy Amplifier Metac. Both of them will increase his strength significantly.

As he looked at the fragile Branch Metacs floating within his energy chambers, he said to himself, "It is high time I increase the number of Metacs that I can use. As long as I don’t let it go beyond my limit, everything should be fine."

His Dao Heart has remained stagnant for a while now. But since he has advanced to rank 3 and can raise the power of his mind to level 3, the number of Metacs that he can use at a time has increased from 10 to 15. This means he can wield more Metacs without losing his mind.

Unfortunately, because of his many pathways, he can’t put every Metac that he can use into one pathway. What he does is to distribute all of his Metacs into every pathway in such a way that he can use all of them without at the same time without having to switch off one pathway for another.

This configuration grants him versatility and will make him more difficult for one pathway to deal with. The problem is that it can be a little overwhelming to wield four pathways at the same time.

He doesn’t plan to use the Metacs of the Mind Hunter Pathway to fight unless he has to. But he has a feeling that he will have to on Earthly Battlefield E6-137.

Once he got everything he needed, he returned to the sect ground to wait for his transportation to Earthly Battlefield E6-137. The next two days were thus spent on the trip to the Earthly Battlefield.

Throughout this period of time, he was busy fusing energy threads to his brainstem. His mind was focused on this so much that he ignored everyone and everything else.

It was why he ignored Jane when she came up to introduce herself to him when they met each other in the carriage on the train to Earthly Battlefield E6-137.

As usual, she was pissed by his behavior. She said some things that were uncalled for and wrong about how he was ugly. But this time, he didn’t care enough to respond to her.

His mind didn’t become focused until Greg took the stage and began to answer their questions. As usual, Greg’s words were so caustic that he managed to quickly rile everyone up.

Loki went along with the crowd in displaying anger. He didn’t do too much, and he didn’t do anything. So it was with a hopeful heart that he waited for Amelia to distribute them to their posts.
