Chapter 129: 129:Manhandling The Ice Titan

Kael stood still in the chaos, his grin widening. His fingers twitched with excitement as he watched the towering behemoth rampage.

"This... this is what I was waiting for."

The Titan bent down, shoving its colossal hands into the frozen ground. Then, with a terrifying screech, it ripped out a boulder the size of a house and flung it toward Kael.

The air whistled as the massive rock spun toward him.

BOOOOOM!!!

Snow and ice blasted into the sky upon impact, forming a whiteout that swallowed everything in sight. The soldiers who watched gasped in horror.

"Is he—"

Before him loomed the Ice Titan—a monstrous snow man-like creature standing over fifty feet tall, its body a grotesque mass of packed ice, snow, and ancient frost. Jagged icicles jutted from its shoulders like spikes, and its face was a frozen mockery of a smile carved into white, solid stone.

It let out a deep, reverberating roar, the sound vibrating through the air like thunder.

The Titan bent low, its bulky arms digging into the icy tundra. With a crunching groan, it tore a massive boulder from the earth—half-frozen, crusted with ancient frost—and hurled it straight at Kael.

The air screamed.

BOOOOOM!!!

The impact sent a geyser of snow, ice, and shattered rock into the sky, engulfing everything in a blinding whiteout.

Soldiers watching from the ridge gasped, some ducking behind shields. A few knights clutched their spears tighter, eyes wide in disbelief.

"Did it get him?" someone muttered.

A blur shot from the mist.

Before the words could leave their mouths, a shadow shot out of the smoke.

Kael used a hexagram to curse the guy while hoping that he wouldn’t get affected and to his shock.

A surge of energy exploded from beneath his feet. The Ice Titan who tried to lock onto Kael faltered in its step allowing Kael to close in.

"It worked,"Kael screamed joyfully and sped.

In an instant, his speed increased tenfold. The world blurred around him.

Kael zigzagged through the Titan’s legs, leaping off the ground, his sword slicing through the air like a guillotine.

With a burst of force, he launched himself up the Titan’s massive arm, his blade carving deep gashes into its icy flesh.

The Titan howled and swung its arm, trying to swat him away.

Kael flipped midair, spun like a drill, and rebounded off its shoulder, landing on its back.

"Too slow!" he sneered.

The Titan stumbled, its massive feet cracking the frozen earth. Each step sent out violent tremors, shaking the entire battlefield.

Soldiers collapsed, struggling to keep their balance.

Albert and Heru looked on, eyes wide.

"That mad bastard... he’s actually fighting it alone."

The Titan screeched and slammed both of its fists into the ground. A freezing shockwave erupted outward, turning everything within range into ice.

Kael saw the attack coming. His eyes flashed.

Maledict Counter.

The energy rippled around his body. The moment the ice wave touched him, the hexagonal patterns on his skin glowed—and then, in a fraction of a second, the entire attack rebounded.

The Titan’s own ice energy slammed back into it, freezing half of its body.

CRACK!

Chunks of frozen flesh shattered, raining down onto the battlefield.

The monster let out a piercing shriek, stumbling from the unexpected counter.

Kael didn’t waste a second.

With inhuman speed, he sprinted up the Titan’s frozen body, slashing its limbs apart in rapid succession—one, two, three—every movement clean, precise, deadly.

He reached the nape, his blade glowing with sheer energy.

"Goodbye, big guy."

Kael spun in the air, his blade flashing like a whirlwind.

And then—

SWOOSH!

The Titan’s head separated from its body.

BOOOOOOM!

The colossal corpse collapsed, shaking the battlefield with an earth-shattering impact.

Silence.

For a brief moment, the battlefield froze.

Then—

ROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!

The soldiers erupted into cheers.

The battle was still far from over. But as Kael landed gracefully atop the Titan’s corpse, his bloodstained sword resting on his shoulder, one thing was clear—

He was the real monster here.

The battlefield fell into an eerie silence.

The moment Kael landed atop the fallen Titan’s corpse, his bloodstained sword resting lazily on his shoulder, every soldier, knight, and commander froze in place. Their faces, covered in grime and frost, were twisted in shock.

Even the monsters that remained seemed to hesitate for a second, as if sensing something far more dangerous than themselves.

Albert stood at a distance, his sword still clutched tightly in his hand. His lips parted slightly, but no words came out. His usually sharp eyes flickered with something uncharacteristic—disbelief.

Kassel, who had been mid-swing against a troll, nearly lost his footing. "He really did it...." he muttered, his grip tightening around his blades.

Chris, who had just finished skewering a goblin through the chest, let out a long whistle. "Damn, man... he really did that."

Gare and Baret exchanged glances, both swallowing hard.

Heru, his massive war hammer still embedded in a creature’s skull, simply let out a low chuckle. "That lunatic..."

The younger soldiers looked on, eyes wide with awe and terror. Some whispered among themselves, others simply stood there, unable to comprehend what they had just witnessed.

"That thing... it was the size of a fortress."

"How the hell did he—"

"He’s not human..."

Meanwhile, Kael simply stretched his arms, letting out a satisfied yawn. "Alright, who’s next?" His grey eyes gleamed with a twisted excitement, as if this whole thing had been nothing but a warm-up.

Then—

BOOOOOM!

Another explosion.

The ground trembled as more creatures poured onto the battlefield. The fall of the Ice Titan had only been the beginning.

A wave of frost trolls, ice wargs, and hobgoblins charged in, their monstrous howls piercing through the frozen air. Massive icicle spears rained from the sky, crashing down onto the city walls.

Albert snapped out of his shock first. "DON’T JUST STAND THERE, YOU IDIOTS! FIGHT!"

His roar jolted the soldiers back to reality. The sounds of war erupted once more.

Heru swung his hammer, sending a frost troll flying with a sickening crunch. Kassel spun his blades, severing limbs with brutal efficiency.

Chris, still smirking, leaped into the fray, parrying an incoming attack. "Babysitting duty or not, I ain’t dying today!"

Kael, watching the renewed chaos unfold, grinned.

"Now this is fun."

He adjusted his grip on his sword and charged in once more.
