Ling Feng nodded and suddenly an idea popped into his head, so he turned to look at Li Shiyun, "What do you think about cutting in on them if they find the ore vein?"

"How do you plan to intercept them?" Li Shiyun was confused and asked.

"This mountain belongs to our Shiliu Village, if there really is an ore, I might as well lease the mountain in advance!" Ling Feng said with a sly smile.

"And then what? Do you plan to mine it yourself?" Li Shiyun asked.

"Of course not, I don’t have that kind of capital, but if those from the Luo Family want to mine here, they’d have to give me a satisfying price, or else I definitely won’t let them have the place!"

Li Shiyun smiled faintly, just about to say something, when she saw one of the three men taking an instrument and heading up the slope, then quickly rushing forward!

"Look at that person!" She quickly pointed with her hand.

Ling Feng also noticed that person, who after running a few steps, arrived beside a bare patch of rock, looked down at the instrument in hand, and then shouted something to the others below.

They were too far away to hear his voice, but the two remaining men and a woman immediately ran up the slope as well!

Ling Feng slowly stood up, murmuring to himself in amazement, "Did they really find something?"

Li Shiyun didn’t speak, frowning slightly as she watched the group. All four reached the rocks, and the woman in pink clothes took a tool from her companions and started chiseling at the dark rocks!

Her movements were vigorous, and it looked like she was exerting a lot of effort. After a short time, the rock was chiseled apart, and the group immediately picked up several pieces of the broken rock!

Ling Feng watched intently, wondering to himself if that could be the ore vein?

Thinking of this, he couldn’t help but glance at Li Shiyun, "That’s strange, I’ve been to that place before to catch mountain chickens, and everywhere were just ordinary dark rocks, how could it be an ore? If it were, it would have been discovered by now!"

Seeing this, Ling Feng leaned over to have a look and noticed that she had zoomed in, bringing the scene closer, yet the image became somewhat blurry.

"What are you doing?" Ling Feng asked.

After snapping a few photos, Li Shiyun turned back, "I’m thinking of sending this to Yuhe. Her father is in the mining business, maybe she’ll understand something about this?"

"Right, why didn’t I think of that, Shiyun, you’re really smart!" Ling Feng exclaimed with a smile!

After sending the photos, the two noticed that the group had packed the rock fragments and started descending the mountain.

A few minutes later, they had packed up their equipment and were walking out of the mountain, apparently preparing to leave.

Without another word, Ling Feng grabbed Li Shiyun’s hand, "Let’s go, let’s see what’s peculiar about that rock!"

Saying this, he didn’t wait for her to respond and pulled her down the mountain.

Halfway down the mountain, they saw the black off-road vehicle turn around and then leave Shiliu Village.

They quickly descended the mountain and got to where the four people had been standing, and Ling Feng searched a bit before finding the rock that had just been chiseled away.

Li Shiyun came forward to take a couple of pictures and sent them to Chen Yuhe once more, then asked, "Are you sure this isn’t an ore?"

"It shouldn’t be, if it were, wouldn’t it have been discovered by someone on the ground already?" Ling Feng looked up and said.

"That’s also true, but this matter really is a bit strange!" Li Shiyun nodded in agreement.

Just as the two were puzzled, Chen Yuhe’s call came through.

As Li Shiyun had already explained the general situation when she sent the pictures, Yuhe knew what the photos were about, but she was just as puzzled as they were. That dark green stone was just ordinary rock, not any kind of ore!

"Yuhe, why don’t you ask your dad, perhaps he might recognize it?" Ling Feng took Li Shiyun’s phone and said.

"Alright, I’ll go ask him, but it might have to wait until tonight," Chen Yuhe said.

"Okay, just don’t forget, this matter is very important to me!" Ling Feng said.

Chen Yuhe was somewhat puzzled, "Why?"

"If this thing has value to the Luo Family, I definitely won’t let them succeed so easily!" Ling Feng said with a wicked smile.

It was then that Chen Yuhe realized and after a moment of silence, she sighed softly, "You’re talking about that matter, it’s already in the past, and the Luo Family has already apologized to me. You really should stop opposing them."

Hearing this, Ling Feng was shocked, but he soon understood. Chen Gang had compromised with the Luo Family, and her words clearly showed she didn’t want him to make enemies with the Luo Family.

But even though she meant well, Ling Feng couldn’t possibly stop; after all, besides her matter, there was also Mo Jiaolan’s issue!

"Okay, I get it. First ask about the stone, try to be tactful," Ling Feng said with a smile.

After hanging up the phone, he turned to Li Shiyun, "Let’s head back and figure out how to contract this wasteland!"

Ling Feng nodded, "Yes, it’s not going to cost much anyway, let’s lock it down first. If there’s no ore, at worst I’ll keep it to plant fruit trees!"

"No worries, isn’t that what you’re here for?" Ling Feng chuckled, patting her shoulder.

"Alright, alright, I know you feel like things aren’t fair. I remember every good thing you’ve done for me, I’ll be sure to repay you properly in the future!" Ling Feng saw her expression and understood, so he stepped forward to put an arm around Li Shiyun’s shoulder, grinning.

Li Shiyun, helpless, shrugged off his arm and gave him a look, "Save it, who would want your repayment?"

After she spoke, she started walking down the mountain, and Ling Feng hurried after her.

As they walked out of the mountain together, nearing the entrance to the village, Li Shiyun suddenly stopped and turned back to look at him, "Hey, about those wild fruits we talked about last time, did you forget?"

"Oh right, I actually had forgotten about that!"

Ling Feng slapped his thigh and turned to look towards Little Beiwa, "Why don’t we go check it out now?"
